“This place blows carols, and labella pizza out of the water! Carols makes me sick everytime. Labella is way overpriced and not the best pizza. If you want real NY style great tasting thin crust pizza that doesn't make you feel poorly after eating it. This is it! Sauce is very well done, perfect amount of cheese, and perfect undercarriage on every pie I've ordered. Will never order from any other local place ever again. This pizza is approx 8/10. And the wings are 9/10. You won't find better pizza in this area. Great job to the family running this place! Thanks for always delivering great pizza, wings and dinners. “

“We ordered a vegetarian 12" pizza. Came well packed and with a fair helping of all the necessary ingredients that make for a good pizza, plus the fact I had ordered an extra helping of black olives which went down very well. Wish they had included some ketchup too.“

“Delicious, fantastic, magnificent! The very best Italian restaurant I’ve very experienced. The true Italian food I can say because I have 12 years of working experience in Europe before! What we ordered today, there’s no disappointment. Each one turns out to be surprisingly delicious!“

“We're regulars—for good reason. The staff is always attentive, remembers where we like to sit, and pours our drinks without having to ask. The food is consistently well prepared and delicious. The menu has just changed for spring and we're delighted by what we've experienced so far: an outstanding antipasto and the best spaghetti vongole I've eaten anywhere (including Italy). Thank you for all you do so well.“

“Drove past last night and noticed that they were opened. I have read online that their hours were a bit unpredictable, so it must have been my lucky day. Ordered the Gregorio personal pizza and was both satisfied and impressed. I often comment that after 30+ years in the capital district I do not have a "go to" pizza place; that may very well have just changed!“

“Love this quirky yet cozy and super-cool spot. A great thing about Troy is the old buildings there have cool nook-like spaces such as this. The wood fired wings were really good - not straight down the middle typical Buffalo wings, but very good (with top notch bleu cheese.). “Medium” had just the right amount of heat for us. Pizza was very good too. Look forward to going back. Recommend.“

The have ZERO attitude and just want to make sure you enjoy your drink and or food. There is no better place in the heart of downtown Albany serving drinks, food and smiles . This is a great atmosphere with even better people .“

“Had a friend recommend this place a while back and I've been a repeat customer ever since. Delivery time is always reasonable, and the food is always amazing. I usually go for just pizza and wings, but anytime I've branched out and tried something new I've never been disappointed. 5/5 definitely recommend!!“

“This is the best pizza in Troy. Hands down. Yeah you will hear other people say this place is better, that place is better...this is the best. I have been coming here for over 25 years and have never had a slice of pizza that wasn't good. I remember when it was a pizza and a soft drink for $1.50. Still not expensive and relatively decent prices in 2024.“

“Absolutely phenomenal place!! For years n years growing up in the Capital District I thought I found all the "hidden gems" on places you would not know about - where the food is outstanding; well a friend of mine introduced thos place to me and 5*'s across the board! Seriously, great prices, very tasty food (huge portions) and the service top notch! Reminds me of being a child going to some old school eatery my mom would take me to! Can't wait to go back!Vegetarian options: There is Definitely vegetarian options. How do I know? Because I'm one myself. The eggplant Parm is beyond good! See pic that I included“

“Second time I have been here and very good food and service. Packed due to mother's day so we ate outside but our server was attentive and food hot. I got the veggie panini but took off provolone, added vegan cheese and eggplant. Sweet potato fries with it. Huge panini, enough for tomorrow's lunch. My husband got prime rib steak and my son got the Reuben . We got the cauliflower wings to start and that was good, we got vegan ranch with it.“

The food was buffet style and excellent, the cannoli and biscotti were fresh and delicious, the staff servers and bartenders were wonderful. I would give them 5 stars for exceptional everything and I would recommend you use them for any event of dining you are interested in doing.“

“The strategy to winning a case in court is to follow this simple procedure: 1-Tell the jury what you are going to do. 2. Do it. 3. Summarize and tell them how you did it. This same formula works to perfection at what has been called "Troy's best kept secret." Proudly displayed on the shirts that several of the staff and chef's wear two vital commitments are proclaimed. "Comfort Food" and "Famiglia.".So there is no pretense here. This is no place for nouvelle cuisine with its miniscule portions and esoteric dishes. Rather it is an embracing, warm establishment where the care and love that are emblematic of the southern Italian culture are continually in evidence. You would expect than the storied favorites to be served up in impressive portions where flavors are married into a tasteful delight. At Testo's you have come to the right place. Elsewhere on Yelp another reviewer will state that Testo's and Verdile's are equals, with strong proponents for each. I couldn't disagree more. In fact that is like saying "I can't quite choose between a 1974 Chevy Vega and a 1973 Porsche 911 for sale at the same price. HAH! Testo's blows their supposed rival right out of the water in terms of atmosphere, service, portion size, menu choices, TASTE of the food, dedication to quality, and diner satisfaction. One time there some months ago and I will never return to the Chevy Vega. One time at the Porsche 911 and I had to return the very next day for the Friday special, having been delighted with the Thursday special of lasagna. And oh, the sauce! No wonder they bottle and sell it right there at this friendly neighborhood restaurant. It is like my Father's and maternal Grandmother's, nurtured on either sides of Mt. Etna in Sicily. A great sauce is known by its texture and a taste that is a medley of flavors that let the tomatoes sing. I have had so many mediocre to terrible red sauces served at supposed Italian restaurants that I could scream, or cry, or give up on trying to recapture what MY "famiglia" did so well and so consistently. Thank God I at last discovered this treasure still imbedded in memories of the Sunday gatherings of Italian-Americans with one foot still in the old country. These are glorious, boisterous affairs of up to twenty or more relatives. Dino Martino (Dean Martin to non-Italians) singing the songs of Naples (I shed a silent tear at "Return to me oh my darling"), or that early sixties' favorite "Volare." Now to the food, the star of all great restaurants. The lasagna was as well prepared as the sauce, creamy and stuffed with the joy of high quality ricotta (I swear some Jersey Diners use cottage cheese--an "infamnia")! Having seen a photograph of a layered apple dessert on their website, I took courage in hand (because the lasagna portion was indeed generous). A brilliant move on my part. It came warm and beautiful with real whipped cream and several healthy scoops of vanilla ice cream to the side. Even the coffee is top notch, always fresh and deeply flavored. I can't leave out the wonderful staff that enhances the dining experience. From the sweetest and kindness young woman you are like to meet these days, Daisha, to Testo's own Talia Shire/Connie (from 'Godfather II era, please) Lisa who guides her young servers with impeccable knowledge and a steady hand of encouragement. Unlike Verdile's bored ancients doing a "Stepin Fetchit" routine (look it up), this crew throws themselves into their responsibilities with enthusiasm and efficiency., guaranteeing that their service will be the equal to the very fine cuisine. Prices are fair and in keeping with the investment in nothing but the best ingredients. "Skimping" is simply not in the vocabulary of the two sons who make their founding father proud. My friends, this is an immersive experience in the best of classic Italian-American food and culture. You will be like family, comforted by food and feeli“

“the Elvis caught me off-guard because there is nothing on the outside that warns you of the sheer amount of memorabilia, they also sell vernors-which is as far as I know-very rare outside of Michigan. I think they should extend their opening hours though.“

“girlfriend said it was good so I tried it. was a solid 9/10 on any scale imaginable I'm picky af. I like a flop free cheesy light sauce crispy pie and they made it perfect. it's salty and not too much water content in the sauce FOR ONCE. was FASTER than their time estimate and its well worth $1 for what tastes like amazing breadsticks as your crust. best $15 8 cut in the 518 so far“

“Stopped by today for opening. Pizza is the best around. Must be if I drive from Pittsfield 45 min drive. Was a little disappointed in the wings. A little dry for me. I like more sauce. Last yr they were perfect. Maybe I should have ordered a little more sauce on the side.“

“I frequent this establishment and I love the staff and food here. I usually order for pick up and the timing is always right. If he say 15 minutes it will be ready in 15 minutes. I never have to wait for my food when I arrive. The sauce on the pizza is never to sweet, and the crust is always perfect. It's not too crowded, and there is seating available also.Parking: Huge parking lot.Kid-friendliness: No loud/offensive music.Wheelchair accessibility: More than enough space for wheelchair accessibility.“

“I'm giving a somewhat grudging 4 stars tonight. Great pizza, frustrating service.Waited outside for 25 minutes for the order to show as ready but it never did, so if you pick up just go inside and ask about it. The pizza itself was wonderful once I heated it back up.“

“As an Albany resident, I take no pleasure in giving such a good review to a restaurant outside of Albany. But good pizza is good pizza. It is what it is.This establishment understands the art of the sauce ratio. So many times you have a pizza and they barely put any sauce. It is the blend of the sweetness of sauce and sharpness of the cheese that makes the pizza.I will have to give up another one of my subscriptions, because I have to work Cugino’s into my budget.I was told the owner also ran PJs pizza, which was in Albany. it is a very short drive over the bridge from where we live so this is my spot moving forward.“

“Excellent calzone and Greek salad to go for dinner last night. My husband and I went to college in Brooklyn and used to eat calzone all the time. We finally found one that measures up!!! Got it with sausage and olives and it was sooooo good. Got two but we couldn't finish one. Salad was huge too, and just perfect. Lots of feta and olives and good dressing. Man at the counter could not be nicer. Even held the door for me.“

“One of my favorite comfort foods. Can't beat the prices. Not to mention. These guys are usually up and delivering earlier as well as later than most. With everything that you expect of a sub /pizza shop. I like that I can order online but don't have to choose to pay electronically. I can still finalize my order and choose to pay cash on delivery. I can't tell you how many times I will have cash on me but hate to place orders over the phone, I'm someone who has to look at the menu as I'm ordering. Or I'll forget what sounded good.Kid-friendliness: They understand picky eaters and always have a perfect solution for my kids.“

“Good pizza for a good price. I got 4 slices and 2 drinks for $16 (including tax). The pizza crust was really good (thin crust). The staff were very friendly. The restaurant itself is small but nice, it was clean and had some fun arcade games and a TV. Overall I would recommend it, I stopped here for lunch while I was in the area and I wasn't disappointed.“

“Pizza and cocktails - what more could you want?! We have tried several of their pizzas, but have tended to stick to what we know we can't live without - the eggplant pizza and the arugula and prosciutto pizza. Chefs kiss! They have some salads and apps that are also a great addition to the meal, but the pizza is the hit here. If you're looking for dessert - Their hangover cake is delightful. The service is always great - they take your order in the shop and will deliver it to your table at Albany Distilling. Depending on when you go, the time may vary widely in terms of how long it takes for food. They get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights!“

“Best pizza in the area“
“Forts Ferry Farm (FFF) is hard to define. It changes from season to season and as a farm, that seems befitting. For Fun Foods, now shuttered, used to offer prepared and frozen foods on site. There was also a selection of produce from the farm and pantry items like extra virgin olive oil sold in their store. Issues with the town of Colonie put an end to that venture. Not to worry, FFF, has a presence at both the Delmar and Troy Farmers' Markets for retail. They also have farmers' market pop ups at the farm on occasion. They seem to have a burgeoning wholesale market with several restaurants in the area. The wholesale market is open to everyone using the fortsferryfarmwholesale.… website. I believe they have plans to open a retail store in Hudson. I once emailed a question through their website about mycology (watching too much The Last of Us) and one of the owners, Emma Hearst, replied almost immediately to my question. Both she and her husband, John Barker, are chefs. I believe their restaurant's name in NYC was Sorella. They moved back upstate to grow food and share it with their community, both fellow chefs and consumers. The produce grown on the farm is top notch. I remember eating different heirloom tomatoes from the farm. It was simply cut, drizzled with a little olive oil, and sprinkled with a pinch of salt. The taste of those tomatoes defines summer. Another discover for me was honeynut squash. It has a thinner skin which is edible and the flesh seems much sweeter than butternut squash. The salad mixes are generous and bagged for convenience. The ginger they're growing seems to be a different varietal. They offer the tried and true classics but also venture out to offer different options to their patrons. The brand of Forts Ferry Farm is managed very well. They have both designers and farmers on staff. Check out the photos created by the staff on this site, they're gorgeous. I believe their cookbook will also be out for sale soon. Whatever Forts Ferry Farm grows into, I'm sure it will be innovative yet also founded on cultivating "goodness".By the way, if you ever have the opportunity to get one of their salted chocolate chip cookies, do not hesitate. Honestly, it's probably the best I've ever had.“

“Ive been going to Labella’s for years know and the food has been consistently good and they service as well. After having a little hiccup in my food order I called to inform them of the issue not expecting anything to be done . They were very nice and professional about the issue and took care of it right away. This and the fact that you will get a good meal at a good price served by friendly servers is the reason I will recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Labella’s for hearing me out and fixing the issue.“
