“Absolutely the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten! My entire family loves the food. The pulled pork pigpen meal is like taking a bite of heaven no joke. If you enjoy quality food this is the place. The brisket is amazing also! I hope this review helps because it’s hard to find good bbq these days and this is the real deal. I’ve eaten multiple times and pig iron is up to standards every time!!!“
“Easily my favorite restaurant in town. Food is perfect homestyle recipes. Staff are always really nice and attentive. Feels like you’re eating in grandmas kitchen. I usually get the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. Went with the kicking Mac and cheese today which has just enough spice to make it interesting. The chicken and noodles is also very good. And save some room for the banana pudding.“
“Have eaten almost one of everything on the menu.Although everything is excellent, Bourbon Chicken is where you should start. This is a food trailer with picnic table dining.Very friendly and very fast and very worth your money.Only negative is the hours. Not open on weekends and close at 4:00 every evening.“
“Accessibility in this location is good but can improve by a couple of factors. Two ramps lead up to the main entrance (only entrance), allowing for those who utilize wheelchairs to get to the entrance, however, they are very steep ramps, which can be problematic. When getting on the ramp, however, there is a sidewalk you have to step on to access the ramp, which defeats the purpose. When you get to the entrance doors, there is no automatic button to open the doors, which can be changed. Not only is there one set of doors but there are two sets of doors you have to go through to get into the restaurant. When you walk through the first set of doors, there is a very small room with no seating to allow customers to wait if the line is long, but it is very small, so if someone was utilizing a wheelchair, they would take up the majority of the room, which can make customers feel like a burden! Not to mention, if there is someone who can only stand for a limited amount of time, they would have to sit on the one bench that is provided outside, which can be inconvenient, especially if the weather is cold or bad. When you get through the second set of doors (also not automatic), the check-in area is immediately to your left, which then forms a long line in front of the door, which is also inconvenient. I will say, they have a long bench that runs against the wall to allow customers to sit and wait, but due to the size of the restaurant, a long line still forms in front of the door and the bench fills up extremely fast. Once your family gets called to be seated, you have to go through a small entrance to get to the dining area, which is big enough to allow wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters through, but leaves no extraneous room. One last detail that can be highlighted is the extremely dark and low lighting which can be an issue for someone who has visual impairments.“
“Service is always quick (for a steakhouse). The food is always hot, savory, and seasoned to perfection. In over a dozen times at this restaurant, I have never once had a complaint. The Texan atmosphere throws it over the top!Kid-friendliness: Great for kids! Has a great menu and is family friendly.“
“Ordered the smoked prime rib (available Friday & Saturday evenings) with baked beans and pan fried green beans. ??My food was Great ?, prime rib was Excellent, smooth smoked flavor and oh so juicy! There baked beans are always excellent too! Green beans were good, but slightly overcooked; their cornbread is always good too!Now the negative, 2 other people in my party ordered the brisket platter with Mac and cheese; the Mac was grainy and lacked flavor and smooth creamy texture, the brisket consisted of coarsely chopped burnt small pieces of meat, only suitable for adding back into the baked beans. The small burnt bits of meat, which they called and sold as a Brisket Platter, would have much better been served as a seasoning in their baked beans, not misrepresented as the main feature in their Brisket Platter! We expressed our concern ? and displeasure with our Waiter; he apologized for not advising us when we ordered the Brisket Platter, that they were out of the sliced brisket, and only had the burnt bits of meat and crumbs left. We asked for a pricing adjustment as we certainly would not have ordered the Brisket if it was not available in its original form: sliced, smoky, tender and juicy! He admitted that he should have told us that the sliced brisket was not available, and that he would ask if he could get us a price adjustment. The members of our party who ordered the Brisket could not even eat their burnt crumbs of brisket that they were served, as the taste was repulsive, awful! When we received our checks, no price adjustment or discount was given to our members who had ordered the brisket. This was quite inconsiderate and insulting, as obviously the management must NOT value customer service or satisfaction! How crude!! Warning ‼️ Do not order the Brisket if the sliced Brisket is not available!!Note: we had ordered the Brisket on a previous visit, and it was PERFECT ? ?Smoky, tender and Juicy!! A top pick!!I highly recommend the sliced Brisket and Prime Rib with baked beans!! ??However, don’t ask for a price adjustment if something comes out wrong ?, even if it’s the staff’s fault, they won’t even consider adjusting their high prices! Buyer Beware!!lol ?. Most of their food is good though ???☺️!!“
