It was our first time there. We asked for recommendations. Our server, Clarke, was great. She took time and made many suggestions. My blackened shrimp and gumbo was delicious. I was surprised by the spice level simply because restaurants will say something is spicy and it isn't. This dish had the perfect amount of spice. I would definitely order again. Great first experience. We will definitely be back.
The fried chicken and milk gravy are incredible. However, the grits in the shrimp and grits looked like a combination of old scrambled eggs and the inside of a Nerf football. They were completely inedible. Their cocktails are oddly flavored. Their ‘Debutant' cocktail was the most harsh and appalling liquid concoction I have ever tasted. Despite their signature chicken being excellent, we won't be returning.

The food and the service are always good here. I had the shrimp & avocado poor boy sandwich & the rosemary (&sea salt?) potatos -all very good. My guest had the chicken sandwich & the gumbo(excellent).
