“I highly recommend this restaurant! We have never had a bad meal there. Of all the restaurants we go to, Sima is always one we return to more than any other. Friendly staff, home cooked food. My husband always says it's like what his mom used to make. Our go to appetizer is the agadashi tofu, Dduk Bbok Gi, or the Korean pancake. Last night we had the Squid dolsot and the Jaeyook Tofu & Kimchi. Loved every bite!“

“A classy atmosphere with very good Thai and friendly service, my only negative is that the food, while very good, is not quite as flavorful as some more authentic Thai restaurants that I have eaten. I got the spicy level of 4 of 1 to 4. They do have a more authentic Thai spice level that can be ordered. I wish I had done that. Might be more authentic. I will probably order that next time as it was definitely worth going back to eat at. Maybe the overall flavor will be more robust too. It is an excellent American Thai restaurant with an upscale flare.“

“4 Star Food- Salads are good. Ingredients seem fresh.5 Star Service- Staff always fast and friendly.2 Star Atmosphere- Music is too loud - Food prep area looked like a Tornado went through it. Unsanitary kitchen conditions due to mess. Cross contamination of meats, vegetables ect.“

“Coffee has changed. Used to have the best Caramel Machiatto! It is very bitter now. Sweet caramel is almost not there.There are so many good things to get. I frequently get their Orange Cranberry Muffin... so delicious. Bagels are always on point. No need for cream cheese on them, but still great! “Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

“I got the Tony and it was excellent. The menu is limited, might want to expand sandwich choices even just using different combinations of the same meats / cheeses and toppings. Sides and salads are limited, again might want to look at expanding. The grocery concept, I get it biggest complaint of downtown residents is lack of a grocery store. There selection is limited and didnt look like they covered the basics. I would either get in or out of thar business and maybe focus on being a sandwich shop.“

“I've had their ice cream cake at a family party so we decided to do it for our boys' birthday as well. Man, am I glad I did! Laura went above and beyond to make their cakes so awesome for their parties! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome and was given great service. They didn't have a lego cake design, but she did a fantastic job taking the idea and made it amazing! My daughter is already looking forward to her birthday cake in like 7 months! I look forward to trying their ice cream on its own next time we can stop in!“

“I was just diagnosed with celiac, so I remember very clearly (like last week) what “regular” cake tastes like.The GF cupcakes I had today (I tried 3) tasted absolutely no different from “regular” ones. I was blown away. I feel SO grateful that an entirely GF bakery even exists in the Dayton area.I was also surprised that the price for a cupcake ($3.50) was the same as what you would pay for similar size & quality as a regular bakery.Thank you, thank you for opening this bakery. “Sueño is now easily our favorite Mexican restaurant in Dayton. The atmosphere is vibrant, with great energy and stylish decor. The service is impeccable, complete with complimentary valet parking! Their cocktails are a highlight, especially 'The Guy,' and the food is out of this world. We tried the chips and salsa, (Salsa del Día), Tacos de Cochinita, and the smoked chicken enchiladas — all were absolutely delicious. The smoked chicken enchiladas were so good that we had to order a second serving. I could eat their chips and salsa every day; the salsa, possibly a fermented pineapple and jalapeño blend, is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. If you're looking for upscale Mexican cuisine, Sueño will not disappoint!“

“Took my mom and a dear friend for an early Mother's Day dinner. As always, we started with the Brussels sprouts-outstanding! The ladies really enjoyed the Bubbles and Sweet wine flights. Entrees were very good and Sherry (sp) made the experience wonderful.“

Chicken tikka masala has been my favorite curry and all of the biryanis (literally all of them) have been amazing. They get the spice right every time and it’s especially impressive since everything is made from scratch. “This actually is The Best Mexican Restaurant in Dayton! While we have tried many establishments around the area, this place knows what they are doing in the kitchen. This is probably the only restaurant where the chimichanga I order actually came out crispie and very tasty. Their refried beans are hand made and so so good. While my wife was devouring her fajitas and a Diet Coke, I got my favorite Jarritos Mandarin to drink with my meal. We are very much looking forward to our next meal here!“

“My whole family loves Old Scratch. Try the vegan pizza-- I swear you will not be able to tell it's dairy-free. That "fake cheese" is so creamy! My mom and I love the mushroom vegan, but you can get it plain or whatever toppings you want. My kids like the Shorty-- a personal cheese pizza that is shaped like Mickey Mouse's head. The Shorty comes with a drink. The roasted cauliflower is a favorite appetizer of ours. The salads are fresh and yummy. The kids love the "free" soft serve ice cream. You give a donation to get a cone. We usually give $1/cone. It's pretty noisy, which is why I gave a 4 for the atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.“

Organic coffee (hard to find now days) and freshly baked goods (from bakery in the same building). Pour overs are amazing! They assist the care and needs of battered woman. “I don't recall how I originally learned about Boosalis; I think it was on some award list of best bakeries perhaps? Whatever the reason, I had it on my list of places to try when I was in Dayton early last year, but I wasn't able to make it there that visit. This time around, I couldn't miss out and went in on a weekday morning. Inside, I was greeted by a number of customers sitting around, eating pastries, and sipping on coffee. The pastry case in front was fully stocked with some very delicious looking croissants and other delights. We had a tough time deciding what to get - we wanted to try everything, but we didn't have the stomach space! After pondering for a while, we made our decision. Chocolate Croissant ($3.65) - Two small chocolate batons are baked into this pastry at the bottom, as is tradition. They are not too sweet and add a very nice cocoa richness that works well with the croissant. The rest of the croissant is buttery with well laminated layers that meld together but are also fluffy. The top few layers are crispy and well browned. They flake off easily in buttery flecks. I found this croissant to be pretty cheap for a chocolate croissant from an artisan bakery and overall found this to be a solid chocolate croissant in general. (4/5) Kouign Amann ($2.85) - This kouign amann is pretty small - around 2 inches across. There's melted caramelized sugar surrounding the edges and in a layer on the bottom. Additional sweetness from pearl sugar is added right in the center of the pastry. The pastry is very well laminated, with distinct layers that peel off easily. The dough seems to be salted a bit and has a somewhat bitter flavor to it. It doesn't seem like the dough itself is sweetened at all, so the middle portion is buttery, but not sweet. it's not nearly as buttery as the chocolate croissant though and there's larger air pockets compared to the croissant. There's a good crunch on the outside from both the browned dough and the sugar on the outside. (4/5) I can see why Boosalis Baking and Cafe is popular. Both pastries we tried were solid and I can easily recommend the place if you're looking for something nice for breakfast or just a treat for yourself.“

“Tried for the first time yesterday and everything was amazing! We got spring rolls (10/10,) chicken & mango curry, beef & yellow curry, miso soup and the spideroll sushi. Yum! The TK refresher was amazing too! Loved the outdoor seating, cute for a date night. The waitress was very friendly too!“

They have seating outside, great to take advantage of the great weather. The food was absolutely excellent with subtle flavors and quality ingredients. We had the Ceviche (spelled with a v!). It needed more white fish, but it was tasty. My husband had the "Tierra y Mar". The steak was good. The shrimp was good. The scallops were excellent! For desert we had the Lucuma Croustillant and it was amazing! Never had it before, so it was meat to try something new. 10/10. Even the coffee was good. Will be back.“

For lunch, I had the shrimp and grits because I saw a photo of the dish and it looks decent. My first bite was like a hug from the south (that's where I'm from)! “We had a very nice dinner here last night. It was my first visit she the server was helpful with suggestions. We started with the Garlic Fries. Hot and delicious. I had the everything salmon. The fish was cooked to a perfect mid rare but the everything topping had a bit of a burnt flavor in the garlic. I think I get the same thing when I have that type of bagel so it's probably just me. I ate every bite. Don't sleep in the veggies and potatoes. Both incredible. We finished off with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and the lemon tiramisu. If there was booze in the cake I didn't taste it but it was incredible. Will go back on my next visit to Dayton.“
