“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

“I got the Tony and it was excellent. The menu is limited, might want to expand sandwich choices even just using different combinations of the same meats / cheeses and toppings. Sides and salads are limited, again might want to look at expanding. The grocery concept, I get it biggest complaint of downtown residents is lack of a grocery store. There selection is limited and didnt look like they covered the basics. I would either get in or out of thar business and maybe focus on being a sandwich shop.“

“My kids and I were visiting Dayton for the day and decided to stop by here and get ice cream before heading home. I'm so glad we did, the ice cream was delicious and the service was amazing. The two gentlemen working were incredibly nice and even offered some water for our trip back. Next time we go to Dayton we will definitely be back.“

“This actually is The Best Mexican Restaurant in Dayton! While we have tried many establishments around the area, this place knows what they are doing in the kitchen. This is probably the only restaurant where the chimichanga I order actually came out crispie and very tasty. Their refried beans are hand made and so so good. While my wife was devouring her fajitas and a Diet Coke, I got my favorite Jarritos Mandarin to drink with my meal. We are very much looking forward to our next meal here!“

“Sueño is now easily our favorite Mexican restaurant in Dayton. The atmosphere is vibrant, with great energy and stylish decor. The service is impeccable, complete with complimentary valet parking! Their cocktails are a highlight, especially 'The Guy,' and the food is out of this world. We tried the chips and salsa, (Salsa del Día), Tacos de Cochinita, and the smoked chicken enchiladas — all were absolutely delicious. The smoked chicken enchiladas were so good that we had to order a second serving. I could eat their chips and salsa every day; the salsa, possibly a fermented pineapple and jalapeño blend, is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. If you're looking for upscale Mexican cuisine, Sueño will not disappoint!“

“Walked in for an early dinner and they were able to sit me, my husband and a stroller without any reservations. Kudos for that! They have seating outside, great to take advantage of the great weather. The food was absolutely excellent with subtle flavors and quality ingredients. We had the Ceviche (spelled with a v!). It needed more white fish, but it was tasty. My husband had the "Tierra y Mar". The steak was good. The shrimp was good. The scallops were excellent! For desert we had the Lucuma Croustillant and it was amazing! Never had it before, so it was meat to try something new. 10/10. Even the coffee was good. Will be back.“

I am meat free and this is the best food that I have ever had. My husband had the Jack fruit Reuben sandwich and said he felt like he was eating a real reuben. We are only in town for 3 days. And I will probably eat there 3 more nights. So outstanding.“

“Great place for lunch. For the weekend brunch experience, get there early because seating is limited for groups of 5 or larger. For lunch, I had the shrimp and grits because I saw a photo of the dish and it looks decent. My first bite was like a hug from the south (that's where I'm from)! The dish was Delicious and packed with FLAVOR! I'd order it again.“

“We had a very nice dinner here last night. It was my first visit she the server was helpful with suggestions. We started with the Garlic Fries. Hot and delicious. I had the everything salmon. The fish was cooked to a perfect mid rare but the everything topping had a bit of a burnt flavor in the garlic. I think I get the same thing when I have that type of bagel so it's probably just me. I ate every bite. Don't sleep in the veggies and potatoes. Both incredible. We finished off with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and the lemon tiramisu. If there was booze in the cake I didn't taste it but it was incredible. Will go back on my next visit to Dayton.“

Nicole and Jade are always attentive to when drinks need a refill as well as when any food may have any mishaps and they always do more than enough to correct any issues. They even remember when the wife and I forget to specify the veggie versions of a dish and write it in anyway. In short a great place with an amazing veggie gravy and even better staff.Vegetarian options: Most of the Vegetarian friendly options are labeled with a leaf while others can be ordered vegetarian friendly, such as biscuits and gravy being able to be ordered using veggie gravy.“

The staff was friendly and attentive.Dietary restrictions: A quarter of the guests were vegans and we wanted to make sure the bakery we chose was only vegan or at least vegetarian. All the ingredients were kosher and good quality.“

I had the Eggplant Fries which were deliciously crisp, albeit a little salty. The yogurt sauce and marinara helped cut the saltiness though. I also had the Green Lasagna with added chicken Italian sausage, spinach, and mushrooms which was rich in flavor but light overall. The mushrooms added on were plentiful, which almost detracted from the balance of the dish - but that's on me! Overall I will certainly recommend Wheat Penny to my friends and colleagues and will be back to visit next time I'm in Dayton!“

It is something I crave and it always tastes the same (which is exactly the way it should be). The portions give me two, if not three, other meals. “Their omelettes are oven baked which makes them harder instead of fluffy. I don’t like it but it’s more of a personal preference. Prices are more expensive but you also get a lot more food. Pancakes are average. They are well staffed and services are good.“
