“Ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and bacon and an order of breadsticks! Pizza was good, the ingredients seems fresh overall. The crust is thick and doughy! I put it my pizza in the Airfryer because the pizza seemed a bit undercooked to me!The breadsticks were very good, I enjoyed them! They did forget to put the marinara sauce in with them; which was a little disappointing as I think it would have been great to have with the breadsticks!So overall good, not great and as a newbie to the area I will continue my search for that perfect pizza!“

“It’s what you expect and want a bowling alley to be. It’s dated. It’s clearly been here a while but that’s part of its charm. You walk in and it smells like bowling shoes and nacho cheese and nostalgia.There’s no electronic scoring so you have to do it yourself on a paper scorecard that they give you. The food was good.“

“We’ve been loyal fans of this pizza for years and can’t praise it enough! Today, we decided to try something new and ordered a classic Italian sandwich along with some pepperoni rolls. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. The sandwich had perfectly fresh bread with just the right amount of crunch, paired with high-quality ingredients. As for the pepperoni roll, it’s now my absolute favorite – hands down the best I’ve ever had! There’s simply no competition for pizza in Youngstown.“

“We went to our granddaughter's dance competition in April 2024 at the DeYor Performing Arts Center and had dinner at Avalon afterward. There was a line out the door to be seated on a Saturday night, but the customers waiting in line were friendly and assured us that the line moves fast - this restaurant obviously has a regular following. We sat at the bar and again sat among regulars. I had a Cabernet, and Ray had a beer. Heaven! I can't believe the menu here!!! It reminded me of my ex's Italian family recipes. I had the fried smelts and Brier Hill Pizza (just like my ex-grandmother in-law's homemade)! My husband had wedding soup - with homemade soup breads - another Youngstown staple! I make soup breads at home, but I have never had them at a restaurant. Impressive and delicious! My husband had a meat pizza and loved it. We ordered a potato pizza and cannoli to go. I didn't realize a restaurant still existed that served authentic Italian food. By the end of the evening, my cheeks were sore from smiling! What an experience!“

“I had the special Friday fish with coleslaw and perogies.Wife had Fish and haluski. The haluski was very good, Fish was very good, maybe the best I've had since moving here, we both had fried, maybe a lemon half would have made it perfect. Our waitress was very nice and the kitchen was very busy. Great place for a weeknight dinner.“

“We went here for my birthday yesterday because we were referred here by relatives and wanted to try it. The food was excellent- generous portions, served hot, and a ton of variety on the menu. I like the option of either butter or herbed olive oil for the bread- a true authentic Italian way of doing it. They may do a bit more business if they offered alcohol. The server was pleasant, although we felt a bit rushed by her and she seemed as though she did not want to be there, but the food and atmosphere make up for it. Perhaps she was just out of her element that day or was having an off day- we all do. It is said this place used to be an Antone's restaurant back in the day, however I was not reminded of it when I stepped inside. I had the Sausage Diablo and it was wonderful. We each ended up taking half our orders home. They were not busy that day, however we put in a reservation just to be safe. I am glad we tried Paul's and look forward to returning!“

R’ Pizza was good, but not what we are searching for but we will definitely stop back to try some of their other offerings! Toppings were good, tasted fresh and was hot! “I'm a long haul truck driver, with my wife riding along. We have been wanting pizza for a few days and am currently doing a 34-hour restart in North Lima, OH. My wife went online to find a Domino's but found that our nearest pizza was Pizza Joe's in North Lima, OH. We ordered three medium pizzas(Taco pizza, Pepperoni Pile-up and Meat monster) and a tossed salad. The gentleman on the phone who took my order was professional and tenetive to our needs. The gentleman who delivered was polite and professional. And the pizza was too quality. It was still hot as lava when delivered and tasted great. I for one am glad there wasn't a Domino's nearby. If you want great pizza, and you're in the area, you won't go wrong with Pizza Joe's. Keep up the great work.“

“I have never tried Uptown pizza before, but kept hearing good reviews. I ordered a pepperoni and a deluxe pizza. The owner told me it would knock my socks off. ? And here they are. I could not get over the crispness of the outer crust and the flavor and texture of the dough. The sauce was so mellow and rich, the cheese pull really stretched! It was not too thick nor too thin...just perfect I am so glad this place is down the road from work...I will be ordering often!“

“Tonite we got the sausage and banana peppers version. The sauce was delicious, the crust was cooked to perfection, the banana peppers were the exact amount of spicyness we like, and the sausage was very flavorful. It wouldn't be possible to make it any better tasting than it was. We live in Poland and have tried all the pizza places there....Larry's Cornersburg Poland Pizza is hands down the best !!“

“Pizza is good, wings are good and dipping sticks are delish. I've never been in the shop, nor have I ordered delivery. When I order by phone, the gentleman is always courteous. Upon completion of my order, he gives me a total, a time and gives a "Thank you". My order is always correct and it's ready when he said it would be. I appreciate all of this. I see more than a few poor reviews prompted by rudeness...I've not experienced this, and I hope I never do. I like Pizza Joe's.“

“My brother and I are visiting our mother, and we been trying to find a pizza place like we had growing up. Most places in the area are about 3 stars. Lacking in taste. This place, was the Golden egg nestle in the corner. The place is old but clean. The owner is down to earth, and the sausage pizza was outstanding! Not heavy, light, sauce excellent the sausage ground to perfection. This is the old school pizza we been missing. We can't wait to come back again. “The service was amazing. Since it was our first time there we asked for advice about what was popular and tried a little bit of everything. The beef and cheese pastelillo was nice and beefy but the chicken and cheese was even better. The relleno was a much better version of a fried mashed potato ball than any other version I have had, with a little beef inside too. We got the slow roasted pork meal as well which was delicious and came with yellow rice which was amazing. The chef even brought out some beans to go with it on the house and they were delicious too. We got to try all their sauces. The mojito sauce was the best but they were all good. We're having the leftovers for dinner right now because we don't want to wait to have more. Give them a try!“

“This was a go place for wings. Just 2/3 years ago they had a .75 cebt wing special on Sunday. Then we had the supposed wing shortage and that was done. Really. We used to throw wings away! In the last month or maybe 2 westside has increased there cost of an order of wings from 12.99 to 16.99. Really?? Rhis is not a cola type of increase. This is just pure greed. Shame. Ecause they ARE good with many choices of flavors“

“I ordered chicken parm with penna the noodles were overcooked. The place was overloaded with way too much sauce..I should of ordered the sauce on side. They give you two extra small slices of garlic bread like they took one slice cut it in half. The serving should of been bigger or gave you four small slices. “I ordered from this location earlier this week and picked it up. Nice location, clean, decored for the holidays, and my order was ready on time. Good service and some great pizza! The crust was very light and the sauce has a little spice to it—a nice change from the typical Youngstown variety. My wife and I split a meatball sub and it was also great, juicy meatballs, Italian bread toasted just right, and that sauce again. Yo... I'll stop in again!“

“The best and most affordable food in the Ohio Valley! Cinnamon "rolls" for .50 cents, meal worthy bread sticks $1.50, delicious pepperoni rolls for $3 and then there's the pizza! You can eat lunch everyday, not break the bank and enough options to never get burned out! If that's not enough, the people are great too!“

“Delicious! The chicken francaise and chicken marsala were both so good. Crispy calamari was okay- breading was a little underwhelming but we loved the thai chili sauce. Mashed potatoes were very yummy but the rice pilaf could use some work. The homemade cheesecake was the perfect ending and we each had leftovers!! Staff was friendly and very attentive. We enjoyed our dinner very much and will definitely be back!“

“Amazing food and service tonight at the boardman location! I usually order a NY style pizza, cause it’s my favorite pizza around, but today i got Alfredo and red sauce for the kids and the sauce didn’t disappoint! Even the salad was fresh and had lots of veggies. We love this place!“
