“Someone recommended this place so we thought we'd give it a try. It was very clean inside and out. The people behind the counter were friendly. I got a mocha chip ice cream on a wafer cone. It was so creamy and tasty. The coffee flavor wasn't as strong as other coffee ice cream that I've had, but it was still good. One scoop was a good amount. It was a little pricey - over $5.“

I have even come here a few times outside of book club and it's just a nice place to unwind and have a beer and the bar tender is always helpful in giving recommendations if I'm trying to decide between drinks. “If you are a FOODIE and have been wanting Birria tacos, you have to come here! I drove two hours to get these tacos because I've been wanting Birria bad and they were worth the drive. Crispy shell, rich beef flavor, fresh onions and cilantro and the consomme is on point. Every bite was tasty, not bland like other places in Ohio, you can actually taste the spices. This is Authentic Tijauana style red Birria tacos like you see with food bloggers on IG. The staff was super friendly. The best days to go are Thurs-Sat when the Birria is available all day. Get there early because they sell out fast.“

From the effort they make in being eco-friendly and supporting other local businesses to how happy and friendly the staff is. You can tell the owner treats her employees well. All of these things together creates a dining experience unlike any other. You can go to Portia’s and feel completely good inside and out about the food you ate and supporting such a wonderful business. I like to try something new every time I go and everything is amazing, but I LOVE the waffles. Being vegan, I hadn’t had waffles in quite some time before I moved to Columbus and found Portia’s. Anand worked with our group to provide a wonderful atmosphere for our event. The staff were attentive and very professional in their assistance. “My boyfriend and I went here for our first time for their St. Patrick’s Day party. We decided to get food from the Chef Shack food truck they have there. All the food was delicious! The bartender was super nice and personable, and made great drinks. And he was very efficient as well. Never had to wait to get another drink, even though they got fairly busy. I had the Bloody Mary bar which I loved. Great topping choices and I like that I can create it myself to my liking. They have many great drink choices. Even the patrons there were all very nice! I liked the atmosphere and they also had a live band that day as well as some Irish dancers. Their outside are looked nice as well, but it was too chilly to stay out there and enjoy it this time. Even though it is about 20 minutes from home, I was very impressed and we will definitely be going back!“

“Very cute coffee shop located in Old Hilliard. The location is right on the Main Street, which allows you to walk around to some great shops, parks, and other restaurants. However if you want to stay, there is plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs, and outside. The counter is located at the back of the shop, and right next to that is the door that leads outside. You can also purchase items from local people. Parking is free on the street and there are plenty of free parking lots in the area.“

“A group of 9 of us went to Spire Social recently to brew our own beer as part of a bachelor party. The owner Alex was awesome - he let us start early before the brewery opened and made sure we all had a drink before we got started. He provided a lot of instruction and explanation throughout the process which we all enjoyed. We all got to participate in the brewing and the bachelor was able to smell and select which types of hops we used. The process took about 3 hours so that gave us plenty of time to hang out and drink at the bar (good beer!). I would definitely recommend Spire Social to anyone who’s interested in brewing their own beer or just grabbing a drink!“

“I tried the goat over rice, it was delicious. I love the Somali rice; basmati rice cooked in a rich stock, spiced up, and with a bunch of vegetables in it too. I also had a beef Sambusa. Portions were generous and goat was cooked to perfection. The mango juice was excellent too. Sambusa was great. I will definitely be back, and may also try the American dishes too. “I currently live too far from this particular location, or any of them, unfortunately. However, I can tell you it's worth visiting a Rita's if you get the chance. They do not disappoint with their authentically fruit flavored Italian ice and creamy custards! I highly recommend the apple ice with vanilla custard. Only complaint is that I wish they use actual silverware and glasses and bowl and less disposals. But given the size of their store may not be possible“
