“Best Mexican around, a little pricey but worth it. The ground beef is actually seasoned & has a lot of flavor, unlike every other Mexican restaurant. They have great guacamole but it is like $12, so it's VERY expensive. That being said, it tastes great, but it's way cheaper to make the same thing at home.They barely put any cheese on their tacos. I always order extra cheese on them & I still can barely find any cheese on them. Thankfully I always order cheese dip, so I end up having to use that on my tacos. Kind of annoying.Update: I took a star away because their take-out/online ordering service needs some serious work. I ordered two tacos for myself & only received one. I mostly wanted to just eat chips with salsa, guacamole & cheese dip (I even ordered a large cheese & large guac). They only gave us a TINY bag of chips, smaller than any other Mexican restaurant would give. Why couldn't they give us a normal size bag? Needless to say, I ate one taco & a handful of chips & was still left hungry. :(“
“Food is quite delicious and the oysters the one's I consumed were fresh. Service is ok. Maybe a bit more friendly. I'm not a regular though. Ambiance is a bit distracting and different music can be a bit loud. I've only been there a few times. However I do continue to go back. Check it out for yourself. I would say it's worth it.“
“This is the spot. This is where Cheers in Akron would be filmed. The servers/tenders all love each other and love the customers. All the regulars are welcoming and loving to other less-frequent visitors. There’s plenty of decoration demonstrating this bar’s love for the community; there’s enough TVs for 3 sports games in 1 night; there’s touchtunes and immensely underrated food. The wings are a great bet. The burgers are top-notch. Personally, I like the hot Italian sausage balls. Fried sausage filled with cheese??? Come on. A+. Also, prices are still really fair. They’ve worked hard to try to keep this place afloat despite inflation. Call me a lifelong visitor.“
“We ordered a salad topped with salmon, French Onion Soup and the sirloin and mashed potatoes. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the salmon served medium as ordered. It was very good. The French onion soup was excellent with plenty of onions in a tasty broth. The sirloin was cooked medium as ordered. It tasted great but was a bit tough to chew. Service was very good - friendly and efficient.“

“Food and vibes at The River Merchant were so good! Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, and the added blackened chicken was perfect. Our server Lorelei was great, and suggested leaving our beer cheese behind from the pretzel app for our fries which was such a clutch suggestion. The salmon croquettes were also delicious. Lots of wins at this restaurant, definitely would recommend.“

“I had the fish and it didn't taste that great. Everyone else liked there meal especially the lasagna. This house salad dressing was the bomb and the apps where great to. Menu said the onion rings where beer batter but the where breaded. We prefer beer batter. Over all I would say it was almost a 5 star. “Had the 3 piece fish dinner as did my husband. The fish was done perfectly, and the tartar sauce is excellent and does not over power the fish. The carrot cake which we split was delicious, but for the price of 9.99 pretty small. They do offer complimentary coffee with it but we didn’t want any.“

Any problems with other customers call Chuck about it. He will deal with it. Read reviews where someone was using Laundromat next door. Then went to leave. But Couldnt bc blocked in. Again call Chuck so he can take care of it and the customers violating fire code. Customers that bring there drinks out the bar outside Call Chuck. He will make sure customers are compliant. Chuck doesn't put up with bologna.“

“I love this place. Great food, great friends, great prices. But they have a bartender named rosie who is absolutely rude to the point where you just feel sad for her. She's off at 5 mon-fri. If you enjoy watching a miserable person treat customers poorly and get joy out of it, rosie is your girl. Also don't bother coming here for food when she's here. She said she avoids making food hoping you get drunk and forget about the food. You're better off coming later when one of the nicer bartenders are here.“
“Relaxing cocktail bar with dim lighting, unique furniture, indoor and patio accommodations. Kitchen food is limited but good. The stars of the show are the strong, unique cocktails. The Lavender Bees Knees is a must have every time I go there, but the drink menu does change. I go to this business frequently. The only reason not 5 stars is the service. I've had too many negative service interactions to give 5 stars. Even so, I still recommend this business to everyone I know who enjoys a stiff drink.
