“03/28/2024 I had the pleasure of celebrating my son's birthday at Brix 31, and I must say it was a perfect night! From the moment we entered, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The food at Brix 31 was absolutely excellent. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in a burst of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with joy. The service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and more. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making us feel like valued guests throughout the evening. Overall, I highly recommend Brix 31 for any special occasion or simply for a memorable dining experience. It truly exceeded our expectations and left us with beautiful memories to cherish.“
“I loved the beer selection and the menu options. The food was great. The atmosphere is what you expect at a pub-style restaurant while the food is what you expect at a medium-high-level restaurant.However… the service from the bar staff where I sat was mediocre. I waited entirely too long between drinks and for cashing out. To the point that they ended up coming to my beers. The kitchen brought out the wrong food. I ordered the Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna and they initially brought an appetizer instead. In the end, I waited entirely too long for the food the beer, and the check. Part of this may only apply to the bar that is enormous and slightly understaffed or mismanaged.I also at one point tried to get the attention of a kitchen staff that came to the bar for something. He ignored me twice when I asked, “Excuse me sir can I have my check?”Albeit, the food was genuinely delicious and well cooked. The beer selection is top-notch. And delicious also.“
“One of our favorite local restaurants. Francisco is the king of customer service, and the entire staff is excellent. They really make sure you feel welcome every time you come through the door. Oh, and more importantly, the food is outrageously good.Kid-friendliness: The kids' menu is great. Tasty and affordable. Our boys always enjoy it.“
“This is the spot. This is where Cheers in Akron would be filmed. The servers/tenders all love each other and love the customers. All the regulars are welcoming and loving to other less-frequent visitors. There’s plenty of decoration demonstrating this bar’s love for the community; there’s enough TVs for 3 sports games in 1 night; there’s touchtunes and immensely underrated food. The wings are a great bet. The burgers are top-notch. Personally, I like the hot Italian sausage balls. Fried sausage filled with cheese??? Come on. A+. Also, prices are still really fair. They’ve worked hard to try to keep this place afloat despite inflation. Call me a lifelong visitor.“
“Baxter and his team have created the coolest Speakeasy in Akron!! Reminds me of the cool spaces I frequented while living in the Chicagoland area. I've shared a few pics before opening hours. “Went here on Tuesday night with friends for dinner and a drink. The food was good and my friends enjoyed their drinks. The place is small but cute. They were playing music and it was nice. The table where we sat was a little dark for reading a menu but thank God for cellphone lights. Also the waitress was not the friendliest person but she got the job done. “We decided on a to go order. So I went online looked at photos and the menu and wow! So much to choose from!!!Also if you are worried they aren’t going to give you as much food compared to dining in… don’t worry they load you up!!I got their seafood burrito and it was HUGE! Not to mention you get beans and rice with it! Definitely 2 meals worth!!! The hubby got a chicken burrito with shrimp and it definitely gone and in his belly haha… huge bag of chips and salsa.Online it said 20 minutes until it was ready but I think the website automatically picks 20 minutes so I would say give them 30 for a pick up.While waiting for my food they were so nice and everyone I saw walk out said their food was great and everyone left with smiles ❤️If you are in the area I recommend stopping here… they have a nice bar and the restaurant is very clean.Oh and the hubby got their street corn and he said if he could he would eat one everyday ?Vegetarian options: Nice selection of options. “I had the fish and it didn't taste that great. Everyone else liked there meal especially the lasagna. This house salad dressing was the bomb and the apps where great to. Menu said the onion rings where beer batter but the where breaded. We prefer beer batter. Over all I would say it was almost a 5 star. “We took a day trip to Akron for a festival and stopped into this bar while exploring the town. This bar was huge, clean, and beautiful! Our bartender was so sweet and answered all our questions! “If there are any problems with Bartenders or an employee get ahold of Chuck Korver owner. Any concerns you have, safety and or liabilities talk to Chuck and give him a chance to handle it. Any problems with other customers call Chuck about it. He will deal with it. Read reviews where someone was using Laundromat next door. Then went to leave. But Couldnt bc blocked in. Again call Chuck so he can take care of it and the customers violating fire code. Customers that bring there drinks out the bar outside Call Chuck. He will make sure customers are compliant. Chuck doesn't put up with bologna.“
“I love this place. Great food, great friends, great prices. But they have a bartender named rosie who is absolutely rude to the point where you just feel sad for her. She's off at 5 mon-fri. If you enjoy watching a miserable person treat customers poorly and get joy out of it, rosie is your girl. Also don't bother coming here for food when she's here. She said she avoids making food hoping you get drunk and forget about the food. You're better off coming later when one of the nicer bartenders are here.“

“Nice place and good service. Cost does not equate to food. It's good, don't get me wrong, but it's not worth it. Company is charging an additional 3% on top of your nill as a "service fee". Not sure it's needed at the cost and really I don't know where it goes. The staff doesn't get it, the place doesn't need it, wonder where it actually goes becuase the cost for food is the same.“
“This place is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. The service was top notch. I had high expectations for the food and honestly left a little disappointed. I really wanted the meatballs to knock my socks off. Everything from the salad dressings to the pasta sauce tasted particularly a little too sweet. The mashed redskins were very rich and the steak came out smothered in butter (not a giant fan, it tends to make everything greasy). I will say that the salad portions were large enough to share. Honestly, the pizza was the best item that anyone ordered in our group of four.“

“This restaurant has provided one of the best service. Our were was waited by PD, and let me tell you, he knew what we was talking about. He recommended items that were absolutely the best ones on the menu, yet he kept our preferences in mind and then suggested something. The portions were big and the food was fresh. The taste was amazing and the ambiance was also one of the most warmest ones.I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Ohio area. If you love Bistros in general, this one should definitely be on your list.“
