“Probably one of the best steaks I’ve had in years. I had the sirloin and my wife had the filet. Excellent price and much cheaper than brown derby. You definitely get a good size steak! Only issue was why no rolls? Nice clean place and excellent service! We are going there again for sure!“

“I would give this place 10 stars out of 5 if I could. The food was absolutely delicious! The Italian wedding soup was the best I have ever had! The service was excellent! All of the servers were helping and kind to us. The food came out quickly! We had 5 people and everyone loved their meals. Our server was Michelle and she was the best ever! She was so extra good and interactive with our 7 year old. The atmosphere was very cool- barrels, reclaimed wood and a fire going in the fireplace. So cozy. The server noticed my mom's artistic hands and helped her box up her meal and told her she saw her hands and was hoping to help. I love this place (and I am picky) and I can't wait to come back!!!Kid-friendliness: All the helpers and wait staff were kind, patient, interactive and encouraging to our 7 year old. The kids menu had great choices and were very reasonable.“

“Such a fun neighborhood place for good food and drinks. Highly recommend this gem. Great people, staff and the Thursday Steak special can't be beat. Usually a Ribeye kind of guy, but damn, that Strip was so good. Stop on in and see what you have been missing. 5 stars.“

“I had a great experience at Lager and Vine. The atmosphere was very welcoming and even in a busy section it felt like I had privacy still. The food was amazing and came out in a reasonable time. The desert was delicious as well. The service was fantastic and added to the amazing night!“

“Food and vibes at The River Merchant were so good! Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, and the added blackened chicken was perfect. Our server Lorelei was great, and suggested leaving our beer cheese behind from the pretzel app for our fries which was such a clutch suggestion. The salmon croquettes were also delicious. Lots of wins at this restaurant, definitely would recommend.“

“Mad Jack's is a great place to go anytime. The food and service is always great. Truthfully I always get the burger with mushrooms, Swiss cheese, grilled onions & their special sauce.....always perfect. You can not pass up there home cut fries.“

“We just live down the street and have been going here for years. Had a bad experiance with over cooked burgers earlier in the summer and quit going. Today we decided to give it another try and we are glad we did. Our burgers were cooked to perfection and huge, very juicy and tasty. The value is the best I've seen anywhere we've been lately. Definately will be back soon. The young man who waited on us was super also, very polite and fast!“

“The restaurant's mission is consistency and the food is ALWAYS delicious. The short rib bruschetta paired with the Maison Nicholas Pinot Noir was absolute perfection. I constantly enjoy sitting in the pub area and my mom, dad, and significant other especially enjoy the pub food including the short rib nachos and pretzels.I love to get my holiday wine here as well. I am always so impressed with how much variety NE has. I managed to get a case with all of my favorites including a Beaujolais Nouveau, Georges Duboeuf Pinot Noir, and Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc for the upcoming holidays. I do wish that the beer selection had a tad more variety as we enjoy ciders, sours, goses, and stouts and the fridge was mostly IPAs but overall, always a wonderful visit to this local gem.PS. Lambic beer is a little rare to find and I'm really glad NE stocked this!“

“Just had a great dinner. The best food we have had in a long time. Mushroom Carbonara for my wife, Japanese sea bass for me. Delicious, we had beef tartare for appetizer. Great service. Even the manager was bussing tables (which to me a sign of a well run place where everyone does what it takes). Good job.“

“The person at the cash register came out and scolded an older couple who sat in the first booth for not waiting to be seated by a waitress. Both of them could hardly walk and her feet were misformed. When we mentioned that to her she quickly said to us that she knew them, but they need to wait to be seated. She mentioned her title and that rules need to be followed. I hope she never experiences being handicapped and have pain in walking. Now on a positive note Jacob is an excellent waiter and all the waitresses do a great job.“

The Lavender Bees Knees is a must have every time I go there, but the drink menu does change. I go to this business frequently. The only reason not 5 stars is the service. I've had too many negative service interactions to give 5 stars. Even so, I still recommend this business to everyone I know who enjoys a stiff drink. Call ahead because this place is usually very busy.“

“Very nice atmosphere and the food was excellent! Being plant based, I am used to ordering “the salad” but they have a Cauliflower Steak Chimichurri entree that is amazing! Our server was incredibly attentive and everything we ordered came out in a timely manner and was delicious.“

“Overall good experience. Parking is across the street. restaurant seemed OK. I did not try the food but it looked appetizing, and the bar was efficient and decently priced. Location is good and with in walking distance to multiple restaurants. I would stay there again no problem, if the need aroused.“

With the new year, the tables are set with linen and white china-the perfect background for Chef Ian's rotating and creative cuisine. An eclectic shuffling of melodies flow through the cozy space. My most recent experience was a delight. The strip steak was seasoned and grilled to perfection accompanied by potatoes lyonnaise and steamed broccoli. Not only delicious but a beautiful presentation emphasized by Brandon's twirl of the plate. Dessert of poached baby Bosc pear in Beaujolais sauce ended dinner on a high note. And what's not to love about sipping a Caymus Cabernet by the glass?Bravo to the James Gang for their continuous efforts toward excellence in food, service and atmosphere :) Reservations highly recommended!“

“I tried this place for the first time today. I was with a coworker who frequents here. He was acting like a pro to me with this place telling all about this and that...well, I finally got to the bottom of it. Yeah, he's been there a lot and can tell me how amazing the mac and cheese is....bc that's all he's ever ordered lol.Well, I ordered the buffalo wrap. I added tofu and subbed kalamata olives in place of tomatoes. This was a very fresh, simple and tasty meal. I am not from the area but am absolutely looking forward to the next time I am in. Grazers each day would even help me another way. I stop daily for a kombucha. They have that here, too. Everyone was friendly, and they came out and made sure our food was good while we were eating, which surprised me. The restaurant was very clean as well.Vegetarian options: When I say everything is vegetarian, it is not. But it basically is and you can add various proteins. Great spot, wish there were more like it.“

It is my understanding that the very talented couple running the tavern actually own the business within the hotel. Kudos to them!
