The fish and chips at Fran's is very tasty. The batter on the fish is on the thicker side, but not overwhelmingly so. If you must have a super thin batter, this fish is not for you. The chips (fries) are really great, (some of the best I've had) and the portion is generous. The Cole slaw is fantastic (mayo based) and the tartar sauce quite nice. After a long day at Wonderland me and my friends were starving and not gonna wait in a 2 hour line for overpriced pizza. We came here 5 min walk and when we walk in our stomach was rumbling even more. Great food I recommend the wings and the buffalo burger the poutine is a 8/10. The waffle burger was Ok it look better than it taste. Overall great service, food and Atmosphere.

Fran serves the best fish and chips in Kingston. The cod was cooked to perfection with thick and crunchy batter. The chips were perfectly cooked, without a hint of excess oil. All served with two juicy pieces of lemon, a serving of coleslaw and a smaller serving of tartar sauce, in a biodegradeable box. Quite superb.
