“Great service and delicious food.Been here about 5 times now and the people here are amazing and so kind. It's my new favourite restaurant in the area. I've tried the steak, chicken and pork dinners and they're all delicious.“
“First time customer, I stopped in for lunch with a co-worker.Truly the best Halibut and Chips I have ever had! The fish and batter were delicious, and the chips were excellent. To top off this great experience our server was friendly and super attentive. Thanks so much for the great food and service!“
“Although we have been patrons for years, today was the first time we decided to sit down and eat lunch. It is a better experience than eating in the car! But foremost is the quality of the food. Of course we cannot expect fresh, unfrozen fish. But I had the cod and my wife had the halibut and the fish remained tender and moist. The batter is not excessive and it appears that the oil is changed regularly because there is no telltale residue or aftertaste of old oil with burnt batter in the fish and chips.“
“So happy to have stumbled here! Service was 10000% and very friendly staff.Mainly a takeout joint, but the quality of the food here is top notch and even better than some of the sit down restaurants. Not even exaggerating.Their burger patties are Halal and made fresh, and made to order, super juicy, not dry, and full of flavour. I highly recommend the crispy chicken because it's so juicy and tender but not overly oily either.Their beef patties are simplistic but you really don't need anything else to highlight the burger. I would call them classics but made well. Also, their poutine are soooo filling but so worth the price for their massive portions! Definitely a guilty indulgence for those nights of partying or even for friend gatherings.Wish they were closer to Markham, but if I'm ever in the area and craving burgers and fries, definitely would come back here.“
“My first time trying Amy’s Fish and Chips was on Good Friday, and man were they busy- as expected. Family owned, fair prices, and great portions. The staff here were busy but still provided great customer service. My only feedback would be that the side salads could use larger dressing cups but overall, a great experience.“
“My 3rd experience with this restaurant and I will continue to go back. Service is excellent, very friendly; great environment; their fish and chips and coleslaw are fantastic, not to mention the pricing, great food and service all at an affordable and reasonable price! Good stuff! A definite repeat customer!Parking: Shared lot with other establishments“
“Good Friday is the busiest day of the year I’m absolutely understanding of that! Wait time was of course a bit of a wait, Food was wonderful and service was fast paced and friendly. First time visitors and we had a great meal and all! Thank you! Just a note if someone orders a Guinness can you please serve them in the appropriate Guinness glass. Was given a small glass and wasn’t able to enjoy my beer properly as the full can didn’t fit in the glass. Will be back ?% thanks for having us!“
“Good quality food always nicely presented even if it's just a little pricey. The staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Even the owners come and check on your table and see how everything is to your satisfaction. The decor is especially tastefully done with a nautical theme throughout. The salad bar is also very good as it is continuously being refreshed.Since I last reviewed the restaurant there has been a dramatic changeStarting with the sale to three Sri Lankan owners who are actively tearing apart everything that made that restaurant so quaint. Their treatment of longtime full-time staff it's deplorable by cutting their hours salad bar is gone which was a big hit for a most out of the patrons and the food is turning more ethnic as time goes on which chases some of the regulars out.The rustic feeling of an old dockside restaurant with delicious and reasonably priced fare is gone. All in all I must give this restaurant now a one star.Sorry to say but as of June the 15th there is no more restaurant. It is currently being renovated to become the fourth banquet Hall. Another good restaurant bites the dust. Of“
“Have gone here for years & have always been very happy with our fish and chips. Fish was crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, so yummy!Very reasonably priced as well.Good Friday is always crazy busy but they were friendly & working fast to get everyone’s food.Definitely recommend!“
“Awesome... Equal to the best if not the best Fish & Chips in Scarborough. The fries are always cooked to perfection, the Halibut is delicious, the batter is light and doesn't over power the fish. I almost forgot the coleslaw it is a perfect compliments to the meal. It's a take out and the ambiance work for what it is Service is allays friendly.“
“My wife and I had lunch here today. We were greeted warmly and seated. We had the Haddock and chips. Food was promptly served, freshly prepared. Portions are generous. Food was delicious, the fish was perfectly cooked. Four other groups of customers came in after us and the service was consistently good. Several were repeat customers who were recognized. We will be back.Parking: There is one spot reserved for customers. We had no trouble finding parking.“
“What this little gem is missing in atmosphere is more than made up for by the delectable food and the welcoming smile of Sumi, the wonderful hostess and server. Sweet halibut in a crispy, crunchy batter sitting on a pile of golden (well done!) fries. Yum!“
“A nice bright fish & chip joint, lightly battered fish fillets of halibut, haddock & Cod, super crispy outside with moist flaky fish inside, served piping hot with crunchy coleslaw, large servings at reasonable prices, efficient service with friendly staff.“
