“Really good Filipino food! I try to hit this place on my way to Kombat to grab some Filipino home cooking as often as I can. If you’re craving Filipino cooking or want to try something exotic, try this place. They’re hard to find but worth it when you do.“

“I love coming here for fresh Filipino desserts but the last couple of times I visited they were out of a lot of things. It's probably because we did end up going when it was close to closing & then tried going when it opened. I did enjoy the fresh, soft Spanish rolls. The middle filling has the perfect sweetness to it. I also liked the carioca. It was perfectly fried with the right amount of glaze, which is usually brown sugar. This bakery definitely hit the spot.“

“It's a quaint little restaurant. We had sisig and laing. The sisig was delicious. It follows a traditional recipe that does not have mayo in it. It's good and crispy and just a hint spicy. The laing is not their best IMHO. It needed more coconut milk to it and a bit more texture. The taro leaves have been reduced to a pulp and not so pleasant to eat.My daughter downed the leche flan in a blink. It was that good.We thought the halo halo was bland but we just didn't mix it properly and when we did, it was a trip back home. It was good.We are planning our next visit already.“

“The service at this place along with the flavor and the kindness is unparalleled! I felt like I was part of a family from the moment I arrived. I was in town from the US and by myself. Filipino food is not readily available where I live so I was excited to have some. I sat at the bar and talked with the owner, the head chef, and a few awesome employees. The portions are HUGE. So tasty. They make for great leftovers and can serve 2-3 people.I was here on a Wednesday night. While parking is free, there wasn’t very many spaces available at 8pm. The tattoo shop hoards a lot of the spaces (not the restaurant’s fault; just sharing so you are aware).I will be coming back and bringing my friends next time we are in Toronto. I asked about Vegan options because my friend is Vegan. The owner said they can make something custom and delicious with vegetables and/or tofu aligned with vegan standards.Vegetarian options: They had tofu and/or vegetable dish options.Parking: The tattoo shop in the shopping center takes up a lot of space.“

“Inside Dixie park mall, this place serves Filipino food. They have crispy sisig which is pretty good. A shallow party tray is $75 I believe. The dinuguan was tasty, but it was a bit fatty. I'm not sure what their hours are because sometimes I come by and they are not open. This, I just called in my sisig party order tray. Would be better if they are open all the time.“

“I prefer to eat here over the likes of seafood city. The food isn't oily or salty, and it's properly rotated, meaning they rarely serve out leftovers from prior days. The service is genuine, and the place is rarely packed with more than +5 customers at one time (from what I experienced). There's seating inside for you to eat a combo (ulam, kanin, sopas, with a beverage). You feel like a local after some visits.Parking: At most, 5 spots on a lesser busy day.“

We love their Lumpia Shanghai (fried spring rolls w pork), Pansit noodles, dinuguan (pork in blood stew like a blood pudding), caldereta (beef stew), Halo-Halo (shaved ice dessert soooo goood!), Braso de Mercedes whipped meringue cake, empanadas, etc. You line up, point at the stuff you want in your combo or takeout. “Got combo #1 with Dinakdagan + rice + bottle of water. The flavor of the dinakdagan is creamy, spicy, and a little tangy - perfect to balance out the richness of the sauce. Great choice for my first visit! The owner is very friendly, and offered a few samples of his dishes. He took care to avoid foods that contained peanuts since I'm allergic. This was so helpful for someone who isn't very familiar with Filipino food, like me. I appreciated his welcoming attitude and will be back again!“
