I have not even made 5 meters away from the store, the handle broke and it fell on the floor. Luckily the cake is not smashed except the fruits on top and the girl quickly fixed it for me. Please get better cake box - easy to fix.Secondly: I ordered the cake on line and I entered the date of the pickup. The owner called me the next day to ask when I need the cake and I told her the date and I told her that I already provided the date when I placed order on line , however she said that I need to put the date on the message field. I appreciated the owner calling me to find out the date, but if I have already listed the date while placing order, why somebody needs to call and ask? I came into the store on a Sunday with a strange request, my son wanted a regular sized Moon Cake double layered and dressed like the Mini Moons for his birthday. Daily pasta, focaccia paninis, fried chicken, etc. On the first trip, I tried the daily pasta with two meatballs and my boyfriend had the tortellini in cream sauce. My dish could have done with some more salt, especially the meatballs, but my boyfriend's was delicious! The filling of the tortellini was exceptional, so much so that we got this again on our second visit. Pasta dishes came with a bread roll, which were quite lovely. Soft with a nice chew and delicious with some good quality butter.There's a rack next to the fresh breads of (I'm assuming) bread that's a day or two old and sells for a bit cheaper. From here, I got some rolls, mini baguettes, and Portuguese rolls. All of the bread still felt soft and fresh despite being older than a day, and I've stashed some in my freezer to reheat in my oven for when I want freshly baked bread!In addition to this, there was quite the impressive selection of packaged pastas, sauces and jams, drinks, and various other sweets such as pies, cookies, and danishes.But the star of the show was the pastry case. Again, a very impressive array of pastries. If you buy six or more pastries, they aren't taxed! On our first visit, we tried the pecan butter tart, lemon bar, Portuguese tart, chocolate raspberry roll, tiramisu slice, and maritozzi. My favorites were the maritozzi and Portuguese tart. “ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!Supermoon in South Common Mall has definitely become my go-to place for Japanese desserts. I previously had tasted their tarts (both cheese and chocolate) and their original cheesecake and felt that it was much better tasting than their competitor, where I usually go.However, I wanted to test it with my husband’s guy friends who prefer Japanese desserts. During a recent get-together with them at our place, I popped out to Supermoon and picked up a box of four cheese tarts, four chocolate tarts and one of their new Spring flavours of cheesecake – blueberry. I served the tarts as a snack and the cheesecake as an after-dinner dessert. They ALL absolutely loved both the tarts and the blueberry cheesecake!They agreed that the tarts were smooth, very tasty, and not too sweet with a light crispy crust. The blueberry cheesecake smelled so good when I opened the box and it tasted even better; it even had bits of blueberries. Supermoon’s cheesecakes are so light, fluffy, and fresh.I saw from another Supermoon review that they previously made a Mango cheesecake. I hope they will make that again real soon; I would love to try that as I love anything Mango – lol ?. I also cannot wait to try their mini-moons.The staff at Supermoon are all so friendly, helpful, and SUPER nice. I highly recommend trying Supermoon; you will not be disappointed.“

At 1pm, the cake is still frozen rock solid in the middle. I've attached pics to show the frozen cake parts. When I called to speak to someone, I was told "leave it out 30 minutes from time of pick up." I then asked what a customer is to do, in terms of wanting a cake for immediate eating. She said order it for pickup with 2-3 hours of leeway for cake to warm up. This is shocking. I've never heard of eating frozen cake other than from Fairy Queen. Also a customer has to give leeway time for eating it? Wow. Time to find a new bakery.“
“I love coming here for fresh Filipino desserts but the last couple of times I visited they were out of a lot of things. It's probably because we did end up going when it was close to closing & then tried going when it opened. I did enjoy the fresh, soft Spanish rolls. The middle filling has the perfect sweetness to it. I also liked the carioca. It was perfectly fried with the right amount of glaze, which is usually brown sugar. “Based on a few good reviews on the durian cake I decided to order it. It was ready within a few hrs which was great. The sponge cake was soft and really good, however we didn't quite enjoy the durian filling, it certainly is an acquired taste. The lady at the counter who assisted me with the order was very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of ready to purchase options also such as pineapple, coconut, hot dog, ham & cheese, and red bean buns. They also offer bubble tea. We'll be back for sure!“

The Ube birthday cake I ordered was a delightful surprise – not overly sweet, but bursting with delicious flavor. It was a hit with my guests, and my son couldn't get enough of it! “Where do I even begin?! This is definately my most favourite banh mi spot. This is family owned and only a few people were working on a Sunday morning but they were friendly and efficient. You can tell they work hard and put their sweat and tears into this family business. Everything is made in house. The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are very generous with the meat, especially the cha lua (love this) and I asked for extra pate sauce. I dont know what they put into this sauce aside from pate but it is AMAZING. It probably has mayo or butter mixed into the pate but its creamy and delicious goodness. I wish they sold this on the side. The veggies in the banh mi were very fresh. I cant wait to go back and try the meatball and fried fish banh mis. I will definately make my way back there weekly. It is $5 per sandwich which I think is a steal in this day and age. There is no tax and they only take cash. When they run out of the goods, the close up shop so sometimes they arent open till closing time as advertised. There is lots of parking in this plaza. You have to enter into the plaza where the supermarket is and the banh mi shop is a few stores down. Please support this small business. The owners are so lovely, the food is homemade and tasty, and $5 for a meal is a steal. P.S. I have no pictures of my sandwich because I ate it as soon as I got into my car :)“

It is quite expensive (cheese loaf was $8, and mini breads with toppings $3-4 each, plus taxes), so I think of shopping here more as a treat, rather than regular place to buy bread.
