Everything was quite tasty, but there was nothing particularly special about them, like a normal homemade-style Hunan dishes. Some dishes were VERY salty, which made them a perfect match with rice. Additionally, you can also order milk tea in the store and pay at Shuyi next to them.
I don’t know why this place has such a low rating. It’s very authentic Hunanese food. I’ve been to Hunan and lived in China for 16 years. Maybe someone from Hunan might disagree with me but based on me. Salted ham and garlic scapes were excellent. Flavors are strong and salty. It’s meant to be eaten with rice so order a few bowls. The pickled chicken feet with pickled peppers that I ordered for takeout seemed to have moldy onions inside. I wanted to convince myself that it might just be a different color, but later I picked out a few more gradient ones. Although Uber has already refunded my money, I really don’t want to have this bad experience again.
