“The food was great. I got a medium rare steak, it was very tender and juicy, and their waffle fry poutine is so savoury and filling. We had Jasmine as our server and she was so sweet! Very accommodating and had such a kind vibe to her. The inside is very cozy and the prices are excellent as well :)“
“Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Had a karaoke session for a couple hours and decided to get something to eat and also wanted to get some alcohol, If anyone read my Mokutan review, this place was the one that my friend entered mistakenly. So this time, I decided it was time to actually give this place a try. The place had little individual booths which made it much more relaxing to chat and eat. I personally am not a fan of cramped spaces where I have to sit and eye what the next table is eating or listen to their conversations so this place was perfect. I had a gin tonic, while my friends had a suntory highball and beer. We didn't expect the food to have such a big portion! Living in Japan I've kind of expected smaller portions for cheaper prices, and then growing up in Toronto, I've learned that though small portions remain the same, the prices can jump up to catch you off-guard. This place had really good portions that were fair for what they charged. I think the egg omelette was good, the pork they used inside was a bit on the fatty side but mixed with the bean sprouts, was quite good. The only thing was it lacked a little flavour, which wasn't a huge deal because the other dishes made up for it. I don't eat intestines so I had the vegetables and glass noodles. The dish itself was nice and flavourful and from what I could tell they don't skimp on the ingredients. There were definitely a lot of intestines in the dish and my friends were very happy. The chicken and cheese we actually ended up ordering two because it was just so good! The cheese pull was unreal, I pulled so high that I hit my hand on the lamp above us at the table. It was definitely the most flavoured dish of the three and the chicken was so tender. They also gave us a side of peppered radish. I have to say that these definitely had a kick to them but they were quite good that we asked for more three times. Overall, a really good place to enjoy some food with friends and also a couple of drinks to help unwind your day or week.“
“You can ALWAYS count on Scaramouche —incredible service, outstanding food, lovely atmosphere. It's not surprising that it's full later in the evening on Good Friday, but somehow not hectic—rather serene. Servers take their time but seem to be at the table just when required for next steps. A really special experience.“
“We went as a group of 4, and ordered everything on the menu. I really appreciate their use of different textures. There’s a lot of depth in their flavor pairing as well. Overall the dishes can be a bit too sweet for my liking. The sweetness is subtle at first, i only started realizing that later on as more dishes are served and i found myself thinking oh this is getting a bit heavy. Still really enjoyed my experience at lake Inez! It’s quickly becoming one of mg favourite spots in the city.“
“I can never get tired of this place. I really enjoy their menu. Great atmosphere, great weight staff overall, I have a great experience visited the Sherway Gardens location first followed by the location by Colossus Both locations left me with great experience overall and will return again!“
“Well let me tell you something brotherMy brother Javier brother, he's a brother brotherAnd brother if I brother, were to make a list brother of all the brothers out there brother, Javier brother he's a real brother brother. Whenever a brother, like me brother, askes brother, what chu gonna do brother, brother Javier brother he comes out and saysSome say all brothers are created equalBut you look at me and you look at your brother Javier brother, and you can see that statement is NOT trueSee normally when you a brother you got a 50/50 chance of being a brother, but Javier brother is a brother freak and not normal. So you got a 25% chance at best at being a brother, but Javier has a 75% chanceSo you take that 75% chance of being a brotherAnd add in the 50% chance of brother Javier being your brother brother, and you got a 125% chance of Javier being a brother brotherYou seeThe numbers don't lieAnd the say Javier is a brother brotherBROTHER!“
“Fabulous experience!!We booked a bday party here and the place was PERFECT!! we had about 40 people give or take on a Saturday night coming in and out and the music along with the vibes were fantastic. The service was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful evening!Highly recommend booking your event here- Gordon, was amazing at setting up and answering any questions we had. Booking was smooth and they worked with us to have the best layout.Food was lovely, drinks were boozy and the night was amazing.Thank you team for making it a perfect night! ??“
“I really liked the institution, it was a pleasant discovery for me (I found the institution based on recommendations in tiktok)! My friends and I came here for lunch, everything we ordered was very tasty, plus the prices are not high and here instead of a waiter, a cute robot delivers the food :)I recommend this establishment 100%, you will like it!“
“Great selection of beer knowledgeable staff. Great food. Sometimes too busy so go to sauce for a drink while on the wait list find out what band is playing so you can go back after dinner!! Burger is great one of the best in the city. Mozzarella sticks are unique.“
“Came here for dinner for 6 people. Although the tables are a little small and services are lacking, the food is truly amazing! I'll list the food with ranking from best to good.Spicy stir fried gold coin egg with perilla has a thick and savoury sauce. Hardboiled eggs are cut into coins and deep fried, then tossed in a mince pork, black bean paste and chilli sauce. Perilla and carrots added the sweetness that brings the whole dish together. This is an unbelievable way to eat eggs. Must try!Stir fried pork slices with green pepper is a classic chinese dish that has many variations. I can't comment on the authenticity, but I certainly found it incredibly well made. The pork slices are cooked to the right texture and green chillies are fresh. The sauce collected the smoky flavour from the hot wok as it was fried. Incredible dish to eat with rice.Hunan boiled fish fillet in hot chilli oil used freshly sliced black fish instead of frozen basa as seen in most restaurants. This makes the fish neither flakey nor watery, but tender and oozing with flavour instead. The chilli oil fully bloomed the numbing peppercorn and dried red chillies that excites your pallette as the fish lands on your tongue. Konjak jelly noodles and cucumbers are great choices to add to the dish, providing differences in texture. There are spicy chicken offal dishes and skewers that I really wanted to try next. When I'm in the area again, I'll come back for more.“
“What an incredible place. If you've been to Unionville, you'll know that the area has many cute and aesthetic restaurants/cafe's but this one is truly a gem. The restaurant has a very cozy but fancy vibe, dimly lit but there's still enough light to see all of the amazing food served here. The staff were super friendly, greeting every customer, both coming in and leaving. The food was definitely super good and worth the price (which, on that note, wasn't too expensive). We ordered skewers, scallops and a beef noodle soup. The skewers were kind of dry on their own, a dipping sauce definitely would have improved them a lot, and the scallops were very fresh, but I'm not a huge scallop fan so I didn't get to enjoy it fully (but my boyfriend said the texture was really good and chewy, and the seasoning really enhanced the flavour). The beef noodle soup was really flavourful and the beef itself wasn't too tough to chew. Honestly I will be going back soon, there are still so many things I want to try and I truly enjoyed the ambience.“
“New and beautiful Việt Restaurant in your area. I visited twice and each time the experience was great. Love the cozy atmosphere and decor. About the food, I tried the special Beef Pho and all the side dishes. Pho was yummy, chicken wings and fresh rolls are recommended ❤️“
“I ordered salad and a bottle of alcohol for delivery. After waiting for almost an hour (which was fine), Skip the Dishes arrived and there was no bottle, just a salad. The driver nor I was made aware until I check the bag. The driver then called Gabby's to inquire why he was not notified he was delivering a partial order, he was dismissed and told to give me the phone. The young lady (Gabby's employee) then proceeded to convey the bottle was not available and that I'd have to attempt a refund through Skip the Dishes, not Gabby's. She was quite dismissive and closed with a very sarcastic "have a nice evening" and hung up.Needless to say, Gabby's on Eglinton is off-limits to me and my family.Update:David, the owner, arrived at my doorstep to personally deliver my order.I'm appreciative of this, he has renewed my faith in humanity (and Gabby's). Thank you David!!“
“Probably the best burger we’ve ever had! My son (8years old) devoured his giant burger and refused to take any home. We stayed until he was done. Delicioussssss! The service was also great and the jazz playing was amazing. We live across town but will make the trip for treasure like this. No question.“
“Wish I had been going here since we moved east. Thoughtful, eclectic decor. Fantastic drinks and small plates. Attentive and engaging service. This is where you bring the date you want to impress whether it's your first or hundredth. Also has the local vibe -- you could be happy here any night of the week.“
“Have been coming here almost daily for coffee since moving into the neighborhood five years ago. The staff are like family and go out of their way to treat my children with kindness and enthusiasm. Coffee is Detour and there is no charge for alternative milks. I miss when they had a lunch/dinner menu! But the snacks and pastries they have now are really good also. My favourite back patio in the city.“
“Food was fantastic! The most flavourful chicken enchilada I've had to date! Drinks were delicious and we had the churros and tres leche cake.... both were ?Seating is a bit crowded but you will enjoy having a meal here! Will be back again!“
“Warm and inviting atmosphere to hang out with friends. Gahzal took care of us tonight and she was nothing short of amazing. She went above and beyond making us feel at home. Would recommend this place to others and shall be returning! Also their chocolate brownie with ice cream is to die for! Yum.“
“I highly recommend Ralph Macleod as a teacher for improv. His subtle gestural expressions are masterful, powerful and impactful. If you're a newbie, he can still lead and pull off a really good skit and entertain the audience to stitches. I learned so much from him and was so inspired. So glad I took a course with him!“
“Out of all the board game cafes I’ve been to (many!!), this place is my absolute favourite by far. From the delicious food and drinks, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the very well organized games, it really is hard to find a board game cafe that is all around as great as this one!“
“We only had beer so I can only do review for beer for now. We went for happy hour on both days. After 8pm until closing time. The service was a little slow I find, but since we didn't order food and just wanted to chat it was okay. I was surprised didn't see too many people in the restaurant on Sunday around 8pm. They used to have fried chicken thigh or leg and not just wings, I wish they can get that back. I do suggest the Alfredo pasta with either chicken or shrimp that's what I liked to order before.“
“Need to reconnect with your inner tennager? This place will bring you right back to all that was great about growing up in the 80 - 90s. Warm and welcoming, just like that one familiar neighborhood basment where we would all get together. Pre netfix and chill..“
“Tried their fish and chips top notch, amazing Crunchy batter of of fish Tartar sauce must be homemade tastes amazing, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Very clean. Overall i rate a billion out of a billion. Thanks I be back for breakfast sometime in the near future.“
“More than 35 years ago Baldev was a customer of mine with my telex company, I telexed his orders for him. He invited me to come down to the shop and try his Paan. He was a wonderful man whose English wasn't great, but we understood each other and I've loved paan ever since. Thank you so much for your kindness.“
“We had a very attentive and very nice personable waiter Harish. I think he made the experience also very pleasant. We had 7 ounce fillets the shrimp cocktail escargot the French onion soup was excellent, and of course, the Billy Minor pie and cheesecake to top it all off. I would highly recommend especially if you’re having celebration.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that leads you into the bar area. There is also a ramp that takes you up to the washrooms, which has an accessible washroom as well.“
“So, so good. Everything I’ve had here has been incredibly flavourful & you’ll want to finish every last bite. Menu items as humble as a burger make you want more & will spoil you for any of the other guys. Smashed fingerling potatoes are the perfect side, even the “I don’t like potatoes” teen wouldn’t share his. Try everything, nothing has been mediocre.“
“I first came to this place more than 15 years ago and it was amazing..a hidden gem.., then it changed owners and they tried to make it more "upscale" but it was just more expensive and quality of the food dropped..it was still "ok" for a change once in a while.. . I have not visited Belle for years now as I moved out of Toronto and then the pandemic and yesterday while in Toronto we decided to order take out .....very very disappointed The prices don't match the quality of the food and when we picked up we just saw a bunch of teens playing videogames not really customer oriented. We had to wait longer for the order and the food was cold. The Lula kebab was burnt, the home fries (that was the signature master piece) were dried up, the chicken was tasteless... Poor quality, poor customer service and expensive. Will not come back or recommend again“
“Finally a Toronto bar where you can have a conversation and hear each other.Unlike other bars that are extremely loud and crowded this place is very cozy and nice you can enjoy a drink while having a conversation with a friend.I went at the night time after they were done serving coffee which was a bummerI wish they served both coffee and alcohol at night it’s so hard to find that in the city but I understand that business need to make moneyThe espresso machine was shut down when I went if it wasn’t i would have definitely had a coffee after my cocktail or even an espresso martini I bet they’d make a good one because they’re drinks are so good and they’re the average Toronto Price 14-15 per cocktailThey also had Orange wine which I was excited to try but didn’t really have time will try it on my next visit for sure“
“Really good korean chicken spot!Their 2 flavour chicken meal was definitely enough for 2 people, we barely finished!Got the garlic soy and spicy flavours10/10 especially the garlic soyTheir drinks were also great, I really enjoyed the milkis cocktail ?“
“Shimeko cooper was an amazing service very cute and so attentive and went over and beyond the call of duty me and my family came from out of time and had difficult time and he was so sweet by encouraging us as he was not so busy we would like to thank him so much for his “
“This was our first experience @ Chop but it most definitely will not be our last. The service was exceptional, our server Michael was a pleasure and always on the ball...amazing atmosphere, food was better then all the feedback we've gotten from previous customers and we can't wait to go back. Highly reccomend this restaurant, not only for the food but if you are as lucky as us to get Michael as your server, he won't disappoint!“
“You walk in and there’s a white piano, so you know it’s going to be a good vibe. The owner is very kind, with some very nice conversations and good recommendations for places to dance in the city. The food: best empanadas I’ve had in the city, the ceviche is also amazing, the pupusas too!I heard that’s there’s open karaoke and dance Saturday nights starting around 9pm, so I’ll have to stop by again!“
“Amazing atmosphere, its an “everyone knows everyone” kind of vibe each night and the staff is nothing short of the kindest and friendliest individuals you’ll come across in nightlife, they also hosted multiple parties for friends and i which have been incredible.“
“My wife Lorrie and I dropped in to Kelsey’s for dinner tonight and a great meal as always Excellent burgers with a great selection of assorted food on the menu with drink specials It was great to see Ricky again still behind the bar with all his charm and smiles as he greets you at your table It’s was also nice to see the manager walking around the restaurant talking to everyone throughout the night Let’s not forget the great selection of desserts Thanks Guys Paul Sands Unionville“
“My husband and I went there on Thursday night to grab a quick dinner. The restaurant was packed. The waitress was nice enough to clear up the bar area to fit us in. There were only 2 chefs working but they were very efficient with the order. Our vegan Udon was amazing. The broth was rich and thick and came out steamy hot. I will definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Vegan brothDietary restrictions: Vegan option availableParking: You can park right in front of restaurant“
“Food was excellent, the dishes paired perfectly with the drinks that were on menu. You can tell that the chef has specially curated each item and didn’t necessarily choose things out of popularity. For example, the sparkling jasmine tea was fantastic.. I later tried to find this drink but was quite disappointed that it’s a very difficult item to get!One item was very interesting - the futomaki was not like any other I have had before. In fact, I don’t personally enjoy it much but really did when the chef made his version of it.We had tried the premium lunch omakase. We would love to come back. Staff were attentive and nice. It’s quite a relatively large restaurant for such a small seating.. the ones downtown a much smaller - but you also get to see everything (a lot of their fridges were in the preparation area).“
“Perfect spot for a late night date adventure! That being said, it's a bit on the pricier side, considering the portions/options available, so keep that in mind.Atmosphere is amazing, very cozy and the lighting is more on the dimmer side, so it's very aesthetic altogether. The food itself was ok, I wasn't a huge fan of the fried chicken nor the potato pancake, as they were both super oily. The cheese+pork dish was nice though, bit on the spicier side but that ended up working in it's favour. They have some really nice drinks though! Very cute and tasty, though the soju is a lot more expensive than other places.“
“Food is consistently well prepared, tasty and of generous proportions. My favourite being the salmon, which is grilled to perfection every time I've had it. The prices are fair and on par with other restaurants in the area. The service is very friendly. It's a family business, and they do truly take care of their patrons. Add to that, that the interior of the restaurant creates a comfortable and inviting ambience and you've got a winner. Oh, and the patio is very cool with a ceiling of grapevines and twinkling lights hanging down the wall. I would warn that it's very loud, unfortunately because it's right on the corner of Pape and Mortimer so traffic's right beside it, but they have created an enclosed space with a look of a garden, which makes up for the loud noise.“
“This place has really great seafood delights. The oysters are their most popular dish and I would go here if you are looking for good quality ones. I ate their mushroom pappardelle dish and found it bland to the palate. The clam chowder was really good and would order it again. The service was pretty standard, nothing spectacular.Vegetarian options: Mushroom pappardelle“
“Love this place since I first time visiting! The food never disappoints me but 4star for the uber eat menu doesn't have all the item there, hopefully they put the missing item there then I will put this to 5 star! I personally recommend theirs udon and the poke belly ! And I love the side dish and salad too !“
“The onion fries were pretty decent and usually I don't like Korean onion powder because it's too sweet at other places. The food was decent! I could really taste the local Korean style of food. The decor is very local pocha, just like Korea with the plastic tables and chairs when they set up shop outdoors!“
“Been to this location 3 times now and I’ve never left disappointed. Though the food is a little pricey and portions quite small, everything is so delicious that it makes it all worth it.I’ve been served by one waiter twice there now and I wish I knew his name, but he is FANTASTIC! Very attentive and helpful with his suggestions.“
“Just spent a casual Monday late evening there with my clients. Super nice staff and great food. Very reasonably priced with a relaxed atmosphere. Wings, fries and wraps were yummy. Didn’t even know this place existed and I’m excited to come back again!“
“Read great reviews about this place so had to come check it out. The vibes here are so chill and relaxing, and exactly what I need for a laid-back weekend. They've got a great selection of video games to choose from and I seriously wish I could stay longer to play. Special shoutout to Mike for being an amazing host and going above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I’ll definitely go back again.“
“Now da Toronto man’s normally rates the nicest toughest bars in da six ya feel dawg? But Nyeah man’s cooked with this hidden gen. Service was locked down like the hatch on a Mandems boatassss. Server was bare chilling and they served the man a dish favourable for a king. Reach this place if ur tryna run a battry on some wings ?“
“Amazing place to be at for drinks and food while watching a game. The food is great quality and satisfies your taste buds, the beer selection is what it should be, and it’s glamorous with all the TVs playing all sports. I recommend this place to anybody that wants to have a good time. Will definitely be going back.“
“We had the nachos as an appetizer and chicken club as the main. Slightly fried garlic bread used for the sandwich. Really tasty! Fresh hot fries, really yummy. Pramath really made the experience the best. He is very attentive and suggested items. Explained everything, very personable. Great service and comfy place with TV screens. Would definitely come back.“
“The Linsmore is the oldest tavern still standing in Toronto. Great atmosphere where everyone is happy and friendly. The bar service is outstanding... Kudos to the bartender... She's awesome. If you don't like standing in a crowd, get there by 8:00 pm because there are only about five tables.“
“The food was really good. Was meaning to come here, and im glad I did. They gave us complementary jeon and definitely love the korean platter. I highly recommend coming here during happy hour to enjoy their deals. It's a sick spot to come for late night eats and drinks. The vibes are always fun, and they have an amazing spots to take cute pictures.“
