Was that aStarbucks moment at lunch today when I was singled out and told I’d have to give up my table if a larger group came in, after I’d ordered and paid for a coffee and croissant, while waiting for my wife? And again, when I decided to order soup and sandwich for lunch, paid for it, and waited for it to be prepared? In calling my name to collect my order, the barista publicly announces a vernal warning to me, by name, repeating that I must vacate my table in 10 minutes! I look around me. I’m at the middle table of three, and on either side there’s a white couple, and another single white guy, dressed in hospital scrubs, AND neither of them are asked to give up their tables. I was a paying customer; my wife did join me and ordered lunch, too. It was not a busy day, and there were plenty of empty tables inside and in the patio area. I do not recommend this aroma location. They need to change management and fix their service policies. There’s a better service location on Yonge St near Isabella St, as well as other d’offre shops nearby.
