Bar Isabel offers an authentic Spanish atmosphere with tapas-style dishes and a lively setting. The restaurant features creative cocktails, including the barragana with jalapeño-infused tequila, setting the tone for a delicious meal. Customers highly recommend dishes like octopus and basque cake, praising the excellent food. The dimly lit space can be fairly loud, especially when full or during parties, but the lively environment adds to its charm. The attentive and friendly staff, including the bartender and servers, help ensure a positive experience, although some guests have noted instances where service could improve, especially when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are recommended as it often gets packed, but the staff's effort makes each visit enjoyable. The decor is beautiful, making it a great place for a celebratory meal, with offerings like pan con tomate, shrimp, and the best octopus ever tasted. Overall, Bar Isabel remains a favorite for many, despite occasional noise and service hiccups.
The recently added reviews highlight the remarkable experience, with the service being helpful and knowledgeable, and the food melting in the mouth and delectable. The restaurant is described as one of the most thoughtful in the city, with a beautifully designed interior and attentive, friendly service that makes guests feel at home. The tuna crudo is praised as a favorite dish, and while the octopus was slightly overcooked, it was still enjoyable. The restaurant is consistently booked and recognized in the press, offering an absolutely delightful experience overall, with excellent wine recommendations.
