Overall good food in this small deli on Avenue Road near the intersection with Lawrence. Nice and clean location with plenty of seating. Good for takeout with decent choices on the menu. Honestly - all good, but not necessarily amazing, principally for a couple of reasons. First, the sandwiches are absolutely fresh with amply portions of fresh meat, but they were not overwhelmingly different or especially flavorful. We were driving by and decided to try Dave’s. Looked like a great menu and clean. We had the corned beef and the Reuben and they were amazing. Fries and pickles also top shelf. Fantastic, friendly service. Best sandwiches we have had in a long time.

Had the 1/2lb smoked meat sandwich and a kishke. Absolutely delicious. Worth the price. I had the pleasure of talking to the owner Dave while I waited for my order (did take out). Really nice dude, helping me find solutions on his menu for my wife who has dietary restrictions. A large part of the menu is GF and they offer GF bread. I will definitely be returning.
