“I haven’t been to this place, but I came across a video of this place and how the guy preparing the meat went out of his way to bring the meat to the storefront, where a bunch of flower eaters were protesting, and cut the meat pieces out of a rear leg in front of them. If I lived in Canada I’d go to the place just to tip them.“
“The food was amazing and the staff was fantastic. Sitting at the chef's counter watching the food being prepared was a wonderful experience. Big shoutout to Jonray for being personable and making us feel welcomed at the chef's counter.“
“A TEN course tasting menu in intimate surrounding with the chef preparing your food directly in front of you. Largely vegetarian with 2 fishs dishes...a scrumptious ceviche and a seared cod. A fantastic experience for all your senses ...and educational too!“
“Well let me tell you something brotherMy brother Javier brother, he's a brother brotherAnd brother if I brother, were to make a list brother of all the brothers out there brother, Javier brother he's a real brother brother. Whenever a brother, like me brother, askes brother, what chu gonna do brother, brother Javier brother he comes out and saysSome say all brothers are created equalBut you look at me and you look at your brother Javier brother, and you can see that statement is NOT trueSee normally when you a brother you got a 50/50 chance of being a brother, but Javier brother is a brother freak and not normal. So you got a 25% chance at best at being a brother, but Javier has a 75% chanceSo you take that 75% chance of being a brotherAnd add in the 50% chance of brother Javier being your brother brother, and you got a 125% chance of Javier being a brother brotherYou seeThe numbers don't lieAnd the say Javier is a brother brotherBROTHER!“
“This is one of my favourite restaurants in the city! The menu changes all the time so frequent visits won't be boring. The atmosphere is quiet and reserved. Perfect for a night of good food and good conversation.Parking: There is a Green P lot just a block west of the restaurant“
“If I could give service 10 stars I would. A friend and I went for dinner and our server was so sweet and attentive. Just one example of the excellent service we received: while we were sitting in the back covered patio, she noticed I put on a sweater. She immediately turned on the heaters and came over to let us know, in case I was feeling cold. It’s small moments like that, that really make you feel taken care of. My only regret is not leaving a bigger tip. I’ll definitely have to return and offer more next time.As for the atmosphere, the place was full and lively but didn’t feel overly crowded or loud. The space itself I would describe it as unpretentious but still felt refined. Finally, the food. We ended up getting a main AND an app of the beef tartare since it was so delicious, as well as the trout which was cooked beautifully. To be honest pretty much everything on the menu called out to us. We also got a salted chocolate mousse that we shared and it was a perfect way to end our meal. They also had a great offering of wines and drinks.Overall: fabulous staff, great food, lovely atmosphere.“
“An excellent date spot, with top notch service. We had their tuna tartare (8.5/10), spicy ceviche (9/10), truffle gnudi (8/10) and the Branzino (7.5/10 - this was amazing but maybe the tomato side was overpowering). I’d say the spicy ceviche and tuna tartare cannot be missed and I’d definitely back go just for that. We were seated at the front area of the restaurant, which was really cute (but a tad chilly). We also got complimentary cheese puff starters (sorry forgot the specific name!) which were delicious! There is plenty of street parking and I’d definitely recommend!“
“The Chicken Wings ? were AMAZING when I ordered take out last week from O’Grady’s on Church. Plump & juicy wings tossed in a yummy honey garlic glaze. An ample portion, along with potato wedges and carrot sticks. MUCH better than other places I’ve ordered from, so highly recommended!!!“
“Excellent dining experience at George with their 5 course tasting menu. Staff were very attentive (we had booked a private room) and restaurant had a mature and cool atmosphere.Highlights were the beef tartare and sirloin. The tartare had a very unique blend of flavours and textures that really elevated the dish; unlike any tartare I’ve had before. The beef tenderloin was the shining star however. The potato pave had such a nice sweetness to it to accompany perfectly cooked beef.“
“I love this restaurant and I feel lucky that it’s in my neighbourhood. The food is sophisticated and pretty and the staff are genuine and kind. When we want to treat ourselves or take out a friend or family member, we know it will always be delicious. A rare find!“
“Have had drip coffees, lattes, cortado and Americanos here and they were all great! The barista is super friendly and very helpful when recommending coffees too. Lastly I'd also highly recommend buying the beans here, every variety I've gotten has been excellent.“
“I ordered salad and a bottle of alcohol for delivery. After waiting for almost an hour (which was fine), Skip the Dishes arrived and there was no bottle, just a salad. The driver nor I was made aware until I check the bag. The driver then called Gabby's to inquire why he was not notified he was delivering a partial order, he was dismissed and told to give me the phone. The young lady (Gabby's employee) then proceeded to convey the bottle was not available and that I'd have to attempt a refund through Skip the Dishes, not Gabby's. She was quite dismissive and closed with a very sarcastic "have a nice evening" and hung up.Needless to say, Gabby's on Eglinton is off-limits to me and my family.Update:David, the owner, arrived at my doorstep to personally deliver my order.I'm appreciative of this, he has renewed my faith in humanity (and Gabby's). Thank you David!!“
“Great tacos, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Both Khush and Ishtar were helpful and prepared the food quickly and with freshness. Place was also clean. Love the unlimited toppings option and 24 hours availability. Will come back and try different options. Great place.“
“We highly recommended! we so impressed by the over the top Mixologists, Riley and Joe welcoming us with their great entertainment with the amazing cocktails, personality, enthusiasm, food service and atmosphere.Thank you so much to Riley, Joe, Chris and Keelin. for this 2 night in your bar. In November 25, 2023. it was an an absolute pleasure to be there from the beginning until the end. for the highest level of hospitality andprofessionalism that your team provided us, to me and my wife. Keeling (Host)was very polite; she was always with a kind smile. And she also provided us with a seat at the Library Bar. We will definetly coming back for them in our next journey at the Fairmont!“
“We stumbled across this little place while out shopping for bridesmaids dresses. Let me tell you how very happy I was to be in the area and find this hidden gem! The absolute best poutine I've ever had. I also tried all of the stuff my bridesmaids ordered and it was all so delicious! Definitely recommend!!“
“Amazing staff.Great food and drink menus. The thing that really makes this place special is the hospitality they have for anyone that walks through the door. The thoughtfulness, skill and love that chef steve puts behind the dishes are felt through each bite.“
“Pretty good spot for a quick meal, portions are worth the cost. Staff is friendly and inviting. Cozy spot by a great place for walks by the lake. Parking can be limited at location but there are plenty of places close by. I recommend the breakfast burger and poutine.“
“Food was spectacular. Service amazing ?We had a 3 course lunch April 5th, 2024.I would definitely go back for the delicious food served to us....Atmosphere is very inviting ?We had the fish , the pork and the pasta dish.Charred Broccolini salad and soup just delicious ?.We tried all 3 desserts....chocolate creme Brule, lemon tart and sticky toffee pudding...yum yum.Absolutely loved our experience ❤️“
“Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos!Homestyle that's comforting. A meat pie filled generously with meat and rice with a flaky crust is complimented with your choice of two sides to completely tailor to your liking. The beets provided a beautiful contrasting sweetness to the savoriness of the beef, and the chickpeas were slightly underdone, which actually provided a surprising depth of texture to the meal. Great value for money too.“
“One of my favourite bars in the city! Unassuming and easy to miss if walking by, but definitely worth a stop. They have a ton of beers on tap along with a good selection of cocktails and other craft cans/bottles. They have 3 pool tables which are pay by the minute and usually has a long wait on weekend evening, but aside from that they're usually available. While I mostly come here for drinks a pool, their food is delicious too! Typical items you'd expect from a pub menu but executed at a step above most others.Love the cozy environment, ample seating along with a fire place for those colder winter nights. Service is always friendly and attentive.Definitely a great date spot or to have some drinks with friends.Highly recommend!“
“We spent the morning doing touristy things and decided the Sportsnet Grill would be a nice place to stop. We were pleasantly surprised with the seating overlooking the renovations to the stadium (very cool to watch while you eat) and the food was excellent for a fair price. Definitely recommend!Kid-friendliness: Our 5 year old was totally enamored with the view overlooking the stadium. Kids menu has a number of options and staff are friendly to the littles.“
“The Gingerman Restaurant is what I would call a real old fashioned restaurant. It’s like getting into a time machine and heading back to the 1950’s. I’m quite sure that this restaurant will never receive a Michelin Star but they will be getting something better, which is a 5 star rating from me.My wife and I visited The Gingerman Restaurant for lunch. I ordered an absolutely huge 4 egg Meat Lovers Omelette and my wife chose the Classic Clubhouse Sandwich. Both dishes were scrumptious and service was quick and friendly. If you want to walk out with your tummy full, then this is the place to stop by.“
“I don't think I've ever struggled this hard to decide on what cocktail to try. They all sound incredible and the two I tried definitely were. Also, I think that may have been the best burger I've had in months!? Damn, what a great experience. Can't recommend enough. ?“
“Great meal, salad and pizza were fantastic, only to be outdone by the incredible service! The owner and chef were engaged with the customers, that was impressive. The place has a cool vibe, we are definitely going back. Well done Pizza Beast!“
“They added a 20% gratuity to the bill without letting us know, which I find a little dishonest when they still have a blank line for you to add a tip. For me, it feels like they are trying to trick you into tipping twice. Otherwise the food was decent. Had the daily omelette which was cooked nicely.“
“Very cozy neighborhood haunt. Expansive food menu that it shares with sister restaurant Botham's (next door). We had the sourdough pizza and latkes, both delicious. They also have a huge drink menu, beer, ciders, cocktails etc. Don't come here with a group bigger than 4 or 6.“
“The flavors here pack a punch - by itself each dish was delicious, but together it might feel too rich (e.g. the lemon tart was amazing, but after three bites it was too sweet for me). My favorite dish was the iceberg wedge salad, I could eat this for lunch by itself!“
“I come here when I’m in the area and while it’s always busy, we get seated fast. I order egg whites, pancakes, or the sunset breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes. Waitresses are all friendly, the portion sizes are big and it’s not expensive.“
“Wow! What more is there to say? Truly the best experience a gal could ask for. I went for my 30th birthday and had the best curated experience. Everything from the outstanding staff, the vibe, the best cocktails, and to the scrumptious food. Thank you to Benji, Nicole and Page for making my night special!“
“Took my beautiful girlfriend and our dog to hunters for a quick drink and appetizer. Was blown away by their new Manager (Sonal). She was charming, funny, ensured the dog had water and even brought him a little treat when she came back around. Not sure the last restaurant I’ve been to with this kind of leadership, awareness, kindness and compassion. Best part is she’s super genuine and you can just tell she’s a good person. I’ve been to this location many times but you found an absolute gem in her and I will frequent even more often. Our server Carley was also amazing. Kind, efficient, funny and just fantastic service overall. Great hiring lately at Hunter’s landing.Food is great as always and I’ve always found the prices super reasonable.See y’all soon“
“Excellent meal - grilled calamari appetizer was delicious. Main dishes were outstanding (crispy duck leg, braised short ribs, veal chop). Excellent dessert & nice wine selection. Great, friendly, attentive service & cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend.“
“Outstanding! We ordered the pescetarian/vegetarian (no shellfish or other seafood) chef's tasting menu. The dishes were artistic, colourful, interesting and tasty. We also ordered the wine pairing menu ($100 per person). The wines were paired nicely and the pours were generous. That being said - not many of them were that impressive. We considered the premium version of the wine pairings - at $200 per person - but decided that was a bit excessive. The bread was excellent - served warm, super fresh - sourdough with a hint of rye - and a tasty garlic butter. The main course was halibut and it was cooked perfectly. The truffled risone was also like a main course and was quite enjoyable. The vegetarian onion soup served in an onion was fantastic. The Marigold dessert was really unique and very good. The service was simply impeccable. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, detail oriented and generous with the wine. The whole dinner, for two, with one cocktail each and a cappuccino at the end - came to well over $700. The credit card machine was preset to start at a minimum tip of 22%. We booked well over a week in advance and weren't given a window seat which was a bit disappointing. But overall we loved it. Really a tremendous experience.“
“I booked the back room at Her Father's Cider Bar for my birthday celebration and everything was absolutely amazing. The food, drink selection, ambiance, hospitality and overall experience- everything exceeded my expectations!I worked closely with their manager Josh to coordinate the timing, capacity, budget, food and dietary restrictions for my group. He was extremely flexible to work with and ensured that everyone in my group had a meal that they could eat (we had a couple vegetarians/vegans). Even though we only corresponded through email, he was extremely quick with getting back to me and answering all our my questions - no matter how big or small they were. Having him as a contact made me extremely comfortable and less stressed with the planning since he clearly knows his stuff when it comes to special events and planning! The server who helped take care of my group was extremely attentive while also easygoing and flexible. She was patient despite our group being so large and split into two, and I greatly appreciated her attention to detail when it came to catering to my vegan guests and latecomers.I had the chicken & waffles and it was the perfect size. Their apple butter and apple ketchup are both amazing and accompanied the food perfectly. I would love to come back to try other brunch items as everyone else's food looked really good as well! I also can't wait to visit again to try their dinner menu and I know for sure that this is going to be a lovely date night location going forward!Thank you everyone at Her Father's for your amazing hospitality and service!Vegetarian options: Shakshuka, french toast and modified eggs Benedict. Vegans got a Tempah quesadilla.Dietary restrictions: Vegans were accommodated for!“
“FoodInitially, our visit was motivated by Winterlicious, but a small oversight on our part led to the realization that it was offered only on certain days. Despite this hiccup, we embraced the experience and delved into their regular menu. I chose the Eggs Benedict, and it lived up to my expectations: light yet satisfyingly savory and greasy, filling without being extraordinary. It was a classic dish executed well. My companions and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals, finding comfort in the familiar and well-prepared dishes.ServiceOur server was a paragon of professionalism—friendly, well-informed, and eager to recommend his favorites. Despite the restaurant bustling with activity, he and the rest of the staff managed the flow with remarkable efficiency. Their hard work and dedication to providing a seamless dining experience did not go unnoticed.Ambiance and DecorThe restaurant boasts a charmingly vintage ambiance that transports you to another era. Incandescent bulbs bathe the space in a warm, yellow light, enhancing the extensive use of wood and period-appropriate decor. It’s a place that feels like it has been a cornerstone of the community for generations, inviting patrons into a cozy, nostalgic embrace.AccessibilityProspective guests should note the presence of stairs leading into the restaurant, coupled with somewhat narrow internal passageways. This setup might present challenges for some, highlighting areas where accessibility could be improved.“
“I had dinner with my family (2 adults and 2 kids, 8 &10), we had a really, really delicious meal. The portions are very generous, the menu is tight and everything is made super fresh. They have a kids menu (my kids had burgers from the regular menu). The staff is accommodating, very friendly and it's clear that they're all working as a team. The prices are spot on and we can't wait to go back again soon!“
“Husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. The food is excellent, service was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere felt very cozy and warm. Another thing, we did not feel rushed, like we needed to eat and run. It felt like we could stay and really enjoy the food and take our time. Will definitely be returning to try other dishes!“

“Nothing special. The food was okay but the place is cozy and staff are friendly.Parking: Not very easy because its on a main street and residential neighborhoodKid-friendliness: There are stairs to go in and the place in there is a bit tight so it might be tricky if you have a stroller.“
“Great service and excellent buck a shuck oysters that we enjoyed during Happy Hour. Best of all was when Fitz recommended that we try going upstairs to their sister bar "Laissez Faire!" What great food! Fitz, you're the best.“
“Decent prices and tasty menu.Nice place to unwind, relax, and do some work.Vegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: Speak with counter staff to confirmParking: Paid street and parking lots in the area.Kid-friendliness: Yes - ground floor.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Small and unassuming. No fancy decorations or showmanship, the food SPEAKS for itself. This keeps the price good and the quality great. I had a big lunch with a side order and a pop and it came to under $20. That's incredible for 2024.“
“Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at this charming establishment to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening. The attentive staff made us feel like VIP guests, ensuring that every moment was special. The menu was a culinary delight, with each dish surpassing the last in flavour and presentation. What's more, the pricing was reasonable, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.I can't recommend Sauvignon Bistro enough for anyone looking to create lasting memories with great food and exceptional service! Thank you!“
“Great place to have brunch! My wife, my son, and I spent a wonderful brunch at good Fork. I ordered the breakfast special and it came perfectly warm with a thick slice of bacon. My son ordered the bowl, and the portion was very generous and very delicious. my wife ordered the blueberry pancake stock which exceeded all expectations for taste and presentation. We found the pricing to be very reasonable. The coffee as well was outstanding. Highly recommend this place for a great brunch.“
“Really enjoyed my birthday dinner here!Super delicious food with a mix of a great abundance!Really cool how the front of the kitchen is like stage with all the fresh seafood on display!Cocktails were good!Lobster roll was super fresh and overall very tasty and I loved the mixed mushrooms!! They are so good I highly recommend!Fish and chip was also a great portion with huge fries!“
“WE LOVE CORNER PLACE!!! My partner and I are regulars here, we come here very often. A regular spot for Sunday brunch for us. We come for the mimosas and I’m obsessed with the breakfast tacos. I have gotten them every time I come here. My partner loves the eggs Benny. The food always comes so quickly too! All of the staff are amazing, super friendly, and very accommodating (shout out to Kate thought she’s the best). Will continue coming back to corner place for sure!“
“Great selection. Food was excellent. I had the Bayou Spaniach Salad and the scallops were not bay scallops but the large ones. Great portions. Reasonably priced. Small restaurant ,not high end decor but a hidden gem because of the food . I would recommend and plan to go back. The Key Lime Pie melted in your mouth. Not to tangy or heavy.“
“My husband and I just had a delicious meal at Tea n Bannock. I highly recommend the bison burger, elk stew, and fried bannock (ok, let's be serious, is there anything better than fried bannock?!). Strawberry juice to drink, and the crumble and bear paws for dessert--also all amazing. Beautiful atmosphere, warm and friendly vibe, the people here are so great--we will definitely be back.“
“So, so good. Everything I’ve had here has been incredibly flavourful & you’ll want to finish every last bite. Menu items as humble as a burger make you want more & will spoil you for any of the other guys. Smashed fingerling potatoes are the perfect side, even the “I don’t like potatoes” teen wouldn’t share his. Try everything, nothing has been mediocre.“
“My friends and I went to this place last night. We were a group of 10, and the place was jammed pack. Our host, Andrew, did a great job managing the crowd and the food was great for the price point. We had a pleasant time and will definitely go back!“
“From the drinks to the dessert, our meal was amazing! The beef TarTar was super flavourful and the burger was one of the best I’ve ever had in the city. It was cooked medium rare which made it even better. The Dessert was recommended by the staff, The Spiced Parsnip Cake. It probably was the best dessert we’ve had all year as we did not know what to expect. The staff and atmosphere were also amazing !!!! Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.“
