I recently dined at The Queen's Head on 1214 Queen Street East, and my experience was a mixed bag. The food, which I had heard was decent for pub fare, actually surprised me with its tastiness. I particularly enjoyed the steak sandwich, the meat was cooked well and very tender- not at all chewy! However, the service left much to be desired and as a long time bartender/server I was surprised at the lack of attentiveness from the staff. Been coming here for a few years and always a great time. I come mostly to watch games because they have a ton of TVs (and they’re 3 blocks away) but have eaten here a lot and too, definitely better than average pub food. Great staff and great summer patio out front! It’s a neighbourhood cornerstone.Parking: Although on Queen St, it’s always been easy to find parking.
