“Yo, this place is off the hook all the other Haitian restaurants in the area be on noticed wow wow wow and wow again. I came here with my son, and we were pleasantly surprised, clean environment. “I discovered this restaurant about 3 months ago and since then, im addicted to it! This place has amazing good food. The Bun Bo Hue "spicy", lemongrass soup is my favourite. I eat it at least 2-3 time per month. It is sooooo flavourful!!! Then, I've tried Bun Cha for the first time yesterday and I fell in love with this plate too. So fresh, so flavourful. “First time visitor on March 23, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was happily booked up when I tried to make a reservation, so I was only able to secure a table at 5:15pm. I left a little note asking them to keep us in mind if there was a cancellation for a later spot, and they contacted me by email, text, and phone when a later table became available for 6:15pm. Very responsive and friendly staff. Our time at Soif was marvellous. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. Service was relaxed yet very polished. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and took great care to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a flight of wine to start, followed by a beautiful bottle of white, and a flight of bubbles to end our evening. We shared a half cheese/half charcuterie platter that came with a mountain of crispy and delicious crostini, the latter being refilled without having to ask. Such a small but lovely touch. We also shared roasted Brussels sprouts, frites and aioli, a bison tartare, and grilled radicchio, that were all delicious. They surprised my friend with a little dessert wine and candle to acknowledge her birthday, which was so kind and thoughtful. I have not a single critique. The team here works like a well-oiled machine. No one seemed frantic or rushed. It was a lovely evening. I (we) will definitely be back. Santé!“

“A lovely family-run restaurant in a great neighbourhood! We've been here every time we visit Ottawa, and so far every time has been excellent. We've tried a variety of their dumplings and their pad thai, and all of it is delicious. They don't have interior seating, so if there's good weather then you can sit at the tables they put out. A great bonus is that they are also environmentally-friendly - they asked us to bring back the take-out containers if we weren't going to reuse them so they could sanitize and reuse them themselves. We ordered the white fish appetizer which my girlfriend found delicious and I just thought it was missing a little something more. We ordered the trout main and the pot pie special. The pot pie was delicious, however we were disappointed with the trout, especially at that price point. The trout itself was good, and the pasta with chorizo was good, but it just didn’t work together. The pasta was too spicy and it took away from the fish. Extremely disappointed with that considering it’s also the most expensive thing on the menu. With all that said the service was fantastic. Couldn’t have had a better waitress.“
