“We booked this place as we love the Kinki Original spot in downtown Toronto. We expected the menu to be same but it was quite different but we had a great time here as well. We had dinner a few weeks ago at Kinka Sushi Bar and the food was amazing! The service from the young lady was great as well (Gigi). We tried various different sushi rolls and other shareable items. Also tried the beef bibimbap. The place was busy for a weekday evening. We also tried some cocktails and the sake cocktail was a hit. Definitely recommend folks to try this restaurant.P.S. The restaurant allowed me to bring a cake for my wife’s birthday and we enjoyed her special bday dinner.“

“Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Had a karaoke session for a couple hours and decided to get something to eat and also wanted to get some alcohol, If anyone read my Mokutan review, this place was the one that my friend entered mistakenly. So this time, I decided it was time to actually give this place a try. The place had little individual booths which made it much more relaxing to chat and eat. I personally am not a fan of cramped spaces where I have to sit and eye what the next table is eating or listen to their conversations so this place was perfect. I had a gin tonic, while my friends had a suntory highball and beer. We didn't expect the food to have such a big portion! Living in Japan I've kind of expected smaller portions for cheaper prices, and then growing up in Toronto, I've learned that though small portions remain the same, the prices can jump up to catch you off-guard. This place had really good portions that were fair for what they charged. I think the egg omelette was good, the pork they used inside was a bit on the fatty side but mixed with the bean sprouts, was quite good. The only thing was it lacked a little flavour, which wasn't a huge deal because the other dishes made up for it. I don't eat intestines so I had the vegetables and glass noodles. The dish itself was nice and flavourful and from what I could tell they don't skimp on the ingredients. There were definitely a lot of intestines in the dish and my friends were very happy. The chicken and cheese we actually ended up ordering two because it was just so good! The cheese pull was unreal, I pulled so high that I hit my hand on the lamp above us at the table. It was definitely the most flavoured dish of the three and the chicken was so tender. They also gave us a side of peppered radish. I have to say that these definitely had a kick to them but they were quite good that we asked for more three times. Overall, a really good place to enjoy some food with friends and also a couple of drinks to help unwind your day or week.“

“Dropped by for lunch during the weekend where we ordered the following: Mushroom Croquetas, Grilled Pulpo, Endive & Radicchio Salad andPaella de Tapagría. While a tad on the expensive side, everything was really delicious with welcoming service. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“The $1 Oysters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, featuring Torpedo Bay and Malpeque, led me here. Despite being the cheapest oysters on the menu, they tasted fresh, although some contained traces of dirt or shell pieces. The Crispy Pork Belly melted in our mouths with its umami. Its marshmallow-like tenderness was a refreshing change of pace from the typical crispy texture associated with pork belly. Equally satisfying were the Japa-Burgers, Nome's homemade sliders. The smoky BBQ and garlic mayo sauce were creamy and light, complementing the ribeye's chewier parts. The buns were soft, and I also liked the crunchy garnish on top of the patty. I would recommend making a reservation, as we had to settle for bar seats. Since this is an izakaya/tapas, do be mindful of the prices when ordering.“

“First time here for dinner and was not disappointed. We ordered a number of dishes to share and every dish was delicious. Highly recommend the following dishes: platha with chicken curry (better to add an extra platha..super crispy and buttery), Myanmar potato..had a nice kick, tea leaf fried rice..very aromatic, huge portion, and Burmese pad Thai. Service was quick and staff were very friendly and constantly kept our glasses filled with water.“

“Food is so good! If you're coming to this area you know the parking is horrendous. Come anyway to try this place! Order things other than your usual izakaya skewer. Service was great and attractive. I took one star off for atmosphere because the music was so loud even for bar standards. If you're coming with younger kids be aware some menu items have some spice to it.“

“Not bad. Table was cramped and uncomfortable. The waiter tried his best but was rather unremarkable. I would hesitantly come back again. Overall a lack lustre experience. The food was decent but was not heightened by the overall dining experience. Oozed mediocrity. Good wonton nachos though.“
