“About a month ago, I fell upon this amazing gem of a place. Traffic stopped on the 404 and my maps directed me to go across a road I wasn't familiar with to Hwy 48. Thank goodness for that detour because I fell upon Nonno Crupi's Pizza and decided to stop. I learned from a young child, travelling with my parents who taught me that if you don't know where to eat, assess by checking out parking lots and go where it's busy. That's what I did. Today I was on my way home from Toronto and decided to take this route just so I could stop here. My husband wants to to go this way all the time now lol! I usually have a cooler with freezer packs and or ice so this works out because I want to eat with my husband, not on the road. I ask for the veal cold and the buns separate as my drive from Nonno's to my home is about 1.5 hours away. I put it in the oven, covered with foil at 375-400 for 20ish minutes. The veal is the best I've had, and way better than California Sandwiches. California Sandwiches are good but tough in recent years but Nonno Crupi's veal is tender and just so amazingly perfect!! Next time I'm buying the veal and my husband wants me to pick up a calzone.”

“Quaint little place hidden in the corner of this strip mall. (The owner said that they've been opened here for 2 years already).I wasn't expecting much from this restaurant but the lunch that we ordered was surprisingly delicious! Their menu is quite limited but we had the pork bone ramen and spicy beef brisket on fried rice and both were very good! I'll definitely be back and will try the other stuff that's on their menu!”

“pho basil is the sheer DEFINITION of a comfort spot. rich, savoury broths and tasty rice noodles come together to form a lovely, soothing meal. it is family owned and run, and the authenticity of their recipes is felt throughout their array of dishes. i recommend p1 (the house special) and p4 (rare beef and brisket - my personal favourite), as well as the fried pork spring rolls for an app !! make sure to absolutely smother your soup in hoisin and sriracha and pack on as many fresh roots as you can <3 a meal here is sure to warm your heart and revitalize you !Dietary restrictions: they made sure to clarify that there were no peanuts in my meal :D”

“I have been going to this location for the past few years. Never been disappointed with the quality of service. Employees always greets with a smile on their face. Fresh veggies and toppings. They go out of their way to help accommodate with any requests. This time I ordered the new Mozzarella Bella sandwich. The Mozzarella cheese is fresh and melts in your mouth. “We had this place on our list for a while and finally made our way there. We were extremely impressed! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile. Then, instead of asking us what we wanted he asked if we had been there before. We hadn’t so he proceeded, then, to give us a sample of all the different curry flavours to get an idea of what we would like and what the spice levels are. So for service - 100%. The ambiance was really nice as well. It was clean and quaint but in a homey way. Exactly the kind of interior and decor you would want from this style of establishment. Next comes the food. We were surprised- in a very positive way - at how good fast food Indi-Pakistani/Mediterranean food could be if it was down right. The owner was the one helping us and his whole goal for this brand was to provide quick food without compromising on quality and he most definitely achieved. The flavours were phenomenal; and not just for the main dishes. Even the salads were delicious! They were flavourful and you could test all the ingredients without it being overbearing. We loved it so much we took more food to go and then even got his card to make catering requests for family events. So, food is a 100000% positive. Hands down one of the best fast food style Indian/Pakistani/Mediterranean food in the Newmarket/Aurora areas. And, not just for the pleasant services but also for its mouth watering food.”

“My gf and I came to check this place out for dinner because of all the great google AND yelp reviews.The resto is located on Main St in Stouffville. It resembles Main St on Markham Rd more so than Main St on Unionville with the intermingling of business buildings between the restos.This resto just so happened to have a big parking lot in the back next to it (thank God). The interior is actually TINY compared to a lot of sports bars or wing places I've been to (All Stars, WEGS Stadium, Wild Wings, even Fanzone in scarbs when it was alive - were all bigger in size). The inside is actually shaped like a square and the washrooms are single stall units. Even the bar itself is square in nature! The thing that tripped us out was that there were a ton of tv's playing sports (BIG ones too) but not enough seats to match. But because of the abundance of tv's it gave the place a super cozy vibe.Anyways, don't be fooled by the size of the place because the food ABSOLUTELY SLAPS and the servers check on you very frequently because the place is so small.My gf and I ordered the Double Deal (cuz she told me she was hungry and we thought we could handle it). The double deal comes with 3lbs of wings (2 flavs), 1 Lrg fries, 1 Lrg garden salad and 2 dipping sauces.We upgraded the Lrg fries to a poutine and the server was kind to let us swap the garden salad with ceasar salad. For the 2 wing flavours we got honey brown girl and honey garlic parmesan. For the dipping sauces we got ranch and blue cheese.The ceasar salad was above avg for a sports bar for sure. The wings were HUGE, meaty, juicy and CRISPY. You could also tell they were fresh and not frozen because the bones were not black but grey (black is a telltale sign of frozen wings). The poutine was the sleeper hit though. The fries were actually crispy still and the cheese curds were ACTUALLY melted properly by steaming, hot gravy. And this is coming from a dude who knows how average, poutine at sports pubs are (the fries are usually soggy out the fryer, the gravy's usually lukewarm which in turn doesn't melt the cheese through).My gf tapped out earlier than I expected but luckily I managed to polish off all the wings and dipping sauce in the end while making a considerable dent in the salad and poutine.Oh right, I'm not gonna forget the fact that they actually have coke zero! Most sports bars just carry coke and diet coke and call it a day (I hate diet coke) so that was a big bonus point in my eyes.It's soooo far from me location-wise but if they ever opened a location in Richmond Hill this place would 100% be my go-to wing spot.”

“I had ordered some vegan cupcakes from lemon tree, I am speechless of how amazing they taste. The cupcakes are so light but yet so rich with chocolate. I highly recommend trying lemon tree’s desserts especially for the vegan dessert. I often find that vegan desserts are so hard to find, which is why I recommend lemontree.”

“Seven years ago I moved to Ballantrae, and after trying many Chinese takeout places in Aurora, Markham and Stouffville, discovered one of the best in the region.Small and family run in a small strip plaza, most of Wok Chef’s dishes are quite good (excellent fried rice, wife loves the beef & broc and beef ho fen, I like the Wok Chef beef and sweet & sour chicken balls), but where Wok Chef really excels is in unfaltering consistency: food is always cooked the same and tastes the same.After moving an hour away and trying to find a new place, I’ve realized how rare a restaurant like Wok Chef actually is. Such that whenever I’m passing though Ballantrae, I’ll make it a point to stop in and pick up my favourites… which still taste just like I love!Order early, as they get very busy and a 1-2 hour wait isn’t unheard of.”

“My mom is a butter tart fanatic. I've never met somebody who likes butter tarts as much as she does, that being said, she only likes GOOD butter tarts. The ones with the super thick crust or minimal raisins are not a pass in her books. Yesterday my dad found out about Beverly's Bakers online, then excitedly told me we were going to get my mom some butter tarts. Although it's a little hidden, Beverley's Bakers had such friendly service and we got our butter tarts fresh out of the oven. When the butter tart queen came home from work, she was thrilled. My mom said they were the best butter tarts ever, runny, lots of raisins, had the homemade taste and best of all they're such a great value! We will definitely be back!”

Nothing particularly special about the food we had (it was good enough), but the price and the service made the experience worth returning.”
