“This place is phenomenal! I don’t understand how it is not packed all the time. We were looking for a place to get a good steak that was anywhere but Portland, especially downtown. We ran into this on Google. The reviews were great and I’m so happy we checked it out. We got bread, polenta salad, and coconut shrimp for appetizers. All delicious! For the entrées we got a porterhouse and a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and mushroom risotto. All delicious! The steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dessert we got a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end the meal. This was a celebration dinner so we spent a good amount of money on this meal but they have a great selection of good quality cuts and other great options that aren’t priced as high. Also, the drink menu is extensive. I don’t drink alcohol anymore but they have a non alcoholic menu made with zero proof ingredient's, so I was able to have an old fashioned without the alcohol in it. That was a really nice surprise because I missed the taste of those but couldn’t drink them. I didn’t realize that was even a thing. We will definitely be back to this place in the future! Finally, I would like to mention, Elaine. She was our server. Best in the business! Her customer service was top notch, she was sweet and walked us through menu options when we couldn’t decide, and was extremely knowledgeable on the menu. I honestly wish I could have an “Elaine” at every restaurant I eat at. She made the experience there even better. 10 out of 10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“
“This is one of those Hollywood steak houses. It's been around forever they get all the big names to sign something for their wall. They have the service and quality food to back it up. Best lobster I've ever had and fantastic service.If you've been to a place like this before you know what you're getting into. If it is your first time, enjoy it. You are paying not just for the meal but an experience. Take your time, speak up if anything is not to your liking, and budget the time and money to relax and enjoy.“
“We found this hidden gem by accident. It was almost 10p and we had just arrived into town for a football tournament there wasn't many options for places still open. This small family owned business had not just amazing food but service was impeccable. The food was 10/10 and so were the drinks. We were greeted right away and our server took the time to walk us through the menu. The chef came out to check on how the food was and we were all thoroughly impressed. We can't wait to go back!“

“The strak was tender and succulent. I had it medium rare. The wait staff was less than stellar and we waited for at least 30 minutes for a waiter after being seated. Not a good look. There may have been a mistake or a table assignment error. Once the waitress came she was great. The food was excellent as usual.“
“Really good food, very friendly staff, and really good managers, I definitely recommend Stanford’s in Tanasbourne , everyone needs to come in and try it if you haven’t yet, I recommend the fried calamari and the chimichurri steak tips, they are really really good, save space for dessert and try the chocolate mousse, and make sure to try out the drinks the way is made is all fresh made juices, so if you are in the area make sure to stop by at Stanford’s in Tanasbourne, you will not be disappointed.“
“The salmon chowder was fresh, well balanced, and just down right amazing. The chicken marsala was also perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful which can't be matched locally so far. We also had the braised beef which was packed with vibrant flavors that made it rich and delightful to the last spoon full. But it wasn't just the food that did it, the entire atmosphere was amazing and I highly suggest visiting them for a warm and inviting atmosphere.“
“Trendy upscale restaurant. Service was outstanding. Very polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. The lunch menu is fairly small, but small menus keep the food fresh and fantastic in my mind. Fun atmosphere with lounging area. Giant atrium inside of the 9s hotel. I failed to get a photo on my chicken sandwich and fries, but both were excellent. Others in the group went with the mushroom scallop risotto, which looked amazing.“
“Jen took care of us yet again, she made our celebration special and left us speechless. The food is sensational and the staff are old school attention to detail types. If more places focused on providing a guest experience like El Gaucho and Jen, they wouldn’t go out of business so fast. “Pretty good food at a great price. You can get a 7oz filet mignon for $40, with sides. However, even at that price the steak is cooked very well. We got a new York stripe because they had run out of filet mignons, ordered medium rare, and came perfectly. The steak also came with a gorgonzola butter, asparagus, and fingerling potatoes. The second dish we got was a chef special, pork cheek pasta in a cherry sauce. It was delicious and the pork was tender beyond belief. The only thing I would say is that it could use a bit of salt, on both. Side note definitely get the duck fat rosemary fries.“

“I met a brother and his grandson for lunch. The building is nice with an Adirondack feel (but wrong end of the country). They have various lunch options at tiered prices. Two of us had half sandwiches with a cup of potato cheese soup. It was very good. I was also pleased that they had Heineken 0.0 which is one of the better na beers.“

I do like the seating in this restaurant as it is private but the restaurant itself is too dark for me. Maybe some updating and lighting? Surprised the restaurant was not busy on a Friday night.“
