“Love it. I get the V1 or pho at least a couple times a month. Tempura ? shrimp perfectly fried. Light, crispy, not greasy. This family-run restaurant is the best place to dine East of 82nd on Sandy. Clean, pretty, beautifully decorated. Order online food ready within 15 minutes. Great service and welcoming, unlike many other Vietnamese restaurants around town.“
“Incredible food and fun interior/ambiance, though cocktails were mediocre. Highlight of our visit to Portland and visited twice in 2 weeks. The food was unbelievably tasty — they really didn’t compromise on Texan barbecue quality with their Thai focus. The white curry with brisket burnt ends was one of the best dishes I’ve had all year. The massaman lamb curry was phenomenal too.The cocktails (Shoulda Woulda Coulda and Life of Luxury) were unfortunately overly sweet and candy-like. I would skip them and just get a cold Singha draft or their alcohol-based slushies instead. We received cold service on our first visit but super friendly and attentive service on the second. We walked in with no wait on a Monday at 4:30pm and waited 1h30 on Saturday evening at a great wine bar across the street.“
“One of my top 5 favorite place to eat in PDX. The sesame noodles are bright, fresh, and chewy. Served chilled and perfect for summer time. The pork is tender and perfectly seasoned.I have a difficult time finding food that's not too spicy (seems a current PDX trend). They balance it perfectly. I'd more or less given up on enjoying that mouth numbing delightfulness of the Sichuan peppercorn without being blasted with the heat of a million chilies. But they've found the sweet spot. Prices on par with other places in the area. Plus you can enjoy the food in their neighboring establishment, Holy Ghost.I highly recommend paring any noodle dish with the 5min Gin Fizz!“
“A food truck with mighty flavors in their tacos! This was featured in netflix so it was a must stop to check out during our portland trip. It's located in Hinterland Bar& food Carts. The truck is at the end of the row, near their version of indoor/outdoor seating..The covered outdoor seating has heat lamps. The dining areaWas nice and cozy during the day. The seating area have a fair amount of seating, self-serve water, and a modest shelter from the wind and rain..I ordered the chopped brisket tacos which consist of brisket and guacamole. The brisket was the epitome of juicy. The tortilla were soft and warm. The brisket flavors together was savory delicious. It's safe to say my tastebuds were seredipity! The size of the tacos are surprisingly deceiving as they leave you feeling a healthy full..I also got the smoked turkey taco with guacamole and it was pleasing to the presentation. The turkey taco had good chunks of white turkey meat. The taco was refreshing too. I wouldn't have thought about smoked turkey tacos as my second choice but it was great to experience something different. It's great being adventurous sStreet parking since it's near a residential area. The server whohanded me my food was nice. The ordering process was a breeze as you order on atablet located at the front of the truck and they text you when your order is ready. Matt'sBBQ Tacos is a revisit when I am craving a snack at the food trucks and l'm looking forward to trying out other creations. Hope this review is helpful and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.“
“Just had the half pound pastrami brisket sandwich available as the Thursday special. Absolutely amazing. Very generous half pound. As tender, juicy and delicious brisket as I have had. I will be making the trip here often and maybe not just on Thursdays.“
“I've eaten smoked meats all my life, but this food is unlike anything I have ever had. No disrespect to my own father, but the people behind these smoked foods are incredible and GENIUS. I am beyond impressed with the flavor of each item I had the privilege of trying out. First I'll start with the brisket slider. Just based off the smell I knew I was going to be blown away. I was immediately on a joyride of flavor with my first bite. The perfect amount of smoke flavor, combined with the juiciness of the meat, as well as the crunch from the slaw made that slider absolutely to die for. The potato wedges are a MUST. The rub that's on them is unlike any flavor I've had on wedges before. Dipped in their ranch makes for the perfect bite every time. I had to try a bite of my partner's burnt ends slider and that was EVEN BETTER. I'm a huge fan of fatty meat and this was just loaded with flavor. If I could try a slider with a piece of brisket and pork belly burnt end mixed, I'm pretty sure I would truly be at peace in life. By the time I was finished with my slider and wedges I was more than satisfied and full, however I had to find out what their smoked key lime pie was like. I'm not a key lime pie fan, but holy smokes this was an extremely delicious pie. The smoke, lime, and creaminess of the filling is the absolute perfect balance of flavor. The crust brings it all together to give you a subtle sweet flavor and bit of crunch throughout your whole bite. I truly could go on and on about this food and I definitely need to try every item on the menu in the future. The staff here is worth a whole other paragraph of positive words. Immediately being greeted by friendly voices who seemed happy that we were there was very comforting. Excellent counter service when taking our order and even came back out multiple times to check on how we were doing! Absolutely beautiful vibe and chill music on, highly recommend for a quick bite or a nice dinner!! Grateful I found this place!“
“Best BBQ in Portland. Of course this is unofficial, but confirmed through various sources. I had the pulled pork bowl over cheesy grits. It was beautiful, delightfully delicious and substantial! Covered tables with heat lamps for seating. Street parking easily available. Small free library available if you want to come by yourself and read, but definitely a community gathering place - great place to meet neighbors that chat with each other around the beer spot cart next door. Definitely recommend and will be back!“
“Go out of your way to visit this cart! Their food is so fresh, delicious, creative, and the staff is super kind. They have some great seasonal fish sandwiches, their potatoes are delicious, and they have a great vibe. They have a really cool red food cart and they are in Hinterland, which is awesome.“
“We parked in a nearby lot on SE 11th Ave & SE Madison St ($3/hr) instead of trying to find street parking. It was pouring rain on a Wednesday at 1pm in February and the carts were still open. It wasn't busy at all. There was seating near the fire pit or more seating in the back with heat lamps! We ordered a vegan club from Smaaken Waffle Sandwiches that was very good. It took a while for the order and they didn't give me a buzzer. We also got mac & cheese from Le Bistro Montage Ala Cart. There are 2 bathrooms (no code needed). I was surprised that they were actually pretty clean. Definitely would recommend coming to show friends around.“
“I drive from Gresham for this catfish. Reminds me exactly of how my dad used to make it. My friend had the pork and said it was also very good. Delish Mac and cheese as well.Food cart plaza can get chili, bring a coat. Black owned and operated ✊?“
“Mighty Moe's Tanker is such a beautiful little spot! It's a little small, but even when I have seen it packed out, it wasn't uncomfortable at all! People are respectful, bartenders are darling, and the owner Moe is such a gem! It is all family vibe! I started regularly going when I was going through a super hard time and they were my safe space and comforting support! ?“
“This is the best BBQ joint that in town. The food is amazing!Their Slaw is hearty, the Mac and Cheese is delicious, and sprinkled with crispy cheese bits.I like the 2 meat platter (Bunt ends, and ribs),It all f'in incredible.Eat here! You wont regret it.I may get the names wrong, But Nick and Jen and pretty awesome people too. Thanks for keeping me well fed.??✌?“
“This place is amazing! Such a good selection and no competing carts. Every one has individual dishes and origins. The outdoor dining is picnic style but also has some cool features like a boat to sit in and we'll fed cats to love on. If I could give them a 6th star for having cats I would. I had a Doner Kebab, kids had grilled cheese and my wife had fish and chips all in one stop and our kids were occupied by the cats. It is the perfect place for a family looking to have a lot of food options but still share a meal. There is also indoor heated seating if the weather is not ideal!“
“I've heard a lot about Landmark. It's the type of place your boyfriend's Dad calls you about when he sees that his sons's shared location is there. You know, because one time he went there, or maybe it reminds him of something... or, maybe this place is about connection. Maybe that's why I've heard about it... or maybe it's the drinks? I don't know...But, what if it is about connection? About talking to the person you came with, thinking about picking up that phone call when you'd usually hit ignore on a Saturday night, or maybe just remembering a moment when you were absolutely happy to hear a live band play something you've never heard on the radio...You know, the radio... that thing people always listened to on their commute to somewhere...“
“I'm so glad my husband and I stumbled upon this mom and pop restaurant. I was craving for wonton soup and saw this place on the way home and decided to try and have early dinner here. The place is small with few tables but it's very clean and a nice friendly staff greet us by the door. We ordered wonton and dumpling soup, pork BBQ steam bun, pork roast and pork BBQ combination rice plate, roast duck and beef brisket combination dry noodles. The food reminded me of my father's cooking, since he passed away I've been missing him so much and these food just reminds me of him. The food we ordered tasted like a home cooked meal. My father was a great cook and his love language was cooking for his family and the food here reminds me of him, like a warm hug. Thank you for this experience, the food here not only feed my hunger but also feed my heart. I will definitely return here. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for an authentic Chinese BBQ and noodle place.“
“The eggplant melted in my mouth. I recommend the scallops, oysters, scallions, chicken hearts and cauliflower. I will have to go back to try it all. The flavors were fantastic! Friends live in the neighborhood and they say they have been going once a week.“
“Outside seating was perfect for the 65 degree weather. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the burnt ends deviled eggs, happy hour ribs (a little dry) and the happy hour Mac and cheese bowl. The Mac and cheese bowl was amazing, perfect amount of cheese, not greasy or oily, delicious pulled pork and the crushed chips on top were well suited for the dish. Definitely recommend.Parking: Great location in the heart of town so we walked. Looked like there was plenty of on street parking on the same block if not around the side streetsKid-friendliness: Kids welcome, bar feel and outdoor seating was spacious“
“We had J&L cater our 130 person wedding with two choices of Meats and 3 sides. The whole process with them went so smoothly, they delivered our food timely and we received TONS of great reviews on the food. Their catfish was AMAZING and the corn bread and green beans with bacon were a hit. If I ever had to do another large event they will be number one choice. thank you guys so much for taking our wedding to the next level! Taylor and James Roberts“
“Greetings,Finally got to try this place out and it was delicious ?.Got the Pulled Pork Sandwich and fries. The sandwich was excellent and definitely will ask for more BBQ sauce next time. The fries were well seasoned and not greasy. Would definitely get again.Customer service was well done and food came in a timely manner ?.Great job all around!“
“Used them for our work Christmas party food and it was pretty awesome. Pulled pork was great ribs were awesome and some of the best corn bread I've ever had (it was sweet and dense) the hickory bbq was great and the Carolina bbq sauce was pretty dang good, also beans an collared greens were awesome. Overall I'd check there food truck out“
“I have ordered take out and delivery from here. I've had good experiences both ways. For take out, they greeted me immediately, took my order, had me pay, then told me how long it would take. I didn't have to wave them down and I felt like they treated me well. The food was prepared surprisingly fast. I was even more surprised by the large portions for the price that I paid. For delivery (via Grubhub), some items aren't available (such as the pepper and onion prawns), but similarly the food was prepared fast with large portions and delivered in a timely manner. So far, I've had their BBQ pork, roasted pork, duck, salt and pepper prawns, fried rice, congee, Big Game A and Big Game B, and wonton soup - all tasted great, not overly salty nor bland, and a great price for large portions. Overall, great experiences!“
“This is my preferred AYCE kbbq spot, the menu has more variety compared to places like Kkoki. Service is pretty consistent, not the best but not bad. I do feel like they start to get stingy & come around a lot less after we order anymore than like 3 rounds. Place is cool, very loud, K-pop music playing in the background, people chatting, grills sizzling. Great place for hanging out with friends & drinking a little too much soju. This location is my preferred over their sister location in Beaverton as well, we tried the one in Beaverton once & lord our server must've been having a bad day because they gave us the nastiest attitude & barely checked on us. We had to ask other servers for help.Make sure to always get a grill change before your next round.“
“I absolutely recommend this place the food is amazing & I love that the owner has made it a policy if a homeless person is hungry to knock at the backdoor they will feed you because he believes no one should ever have to starve God bless you & I wish more places were like thisParking: There is a very small parking lot with minimal parking sometimes you may have to park a couple blocks away & walkWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I wish we didn’t have to use QR codes to order. I’m trying to get off my phone and one of the main things I do is don’t have it during meal times so I had to go back to my car for my phone just so I could see a menu and order. The food was delicious, the Mac and cheese leaves something to be desired, it’s very bland but the meat is really really good and so is the chili.“
“Visited this welcoming spot while staying in it's residence, the Radisson PDX.Though we just needed dessert and a nightcap, we perused the interesting menu to discover nice appetizers, salads, and mains. We had the Carrot cake, a good-sized wedge with nice flavors and textures, with both cream cheese icing and fresh whipped cream and a tracing of caramel sauce. Uummmmm.Tea for the hubs and a generous portion of Grand Marnier for me. Our wait staff was gracious, kind, efficient and friendly. Such a lovely respite after a long drive through rain and traffic. Certainly recommended, especially during daytime when you would have a view of the lake.“
“Secret gem of old turned new SE Portland. The Tanker turned Mighty Moes Tanker! If you want a spot where you can dance without judgment, have an amazing snack...(sometimes the most baller secret jambalaya) BBQ season permitting and the best owner who works his ass off everyday to be a contributor to the community, then this is your spot!“
“Came here as group of us were doing a art walk on Alberta street, was craving for some meaty food, stopped by this spot where there were few other food trucks, mind you Portland is known for food trucks as I discovered, we ordered bbq ribs that came with the potato salad And greens and , chicken wings. Mind you, I have never seen my fiancé finishing potato salad when we've ordered in the past from other place, which he did so there must be something good about this place , he liked the collard greens, meat was cooked well, I just thought it was little too much bbq sauce, meat kinda somewhat seemed like they were swimming in the sauce as I don't really like having that much sauce on the meat but however I liked the meat itself. We were definitely full and satisfied after. I would go back again.“
“This was our favorite BBQ spot in the Portland area. Freshly made, well seasoned and perfectly cooked, you cannot go wrong. I would usually get the Brisket, beans and macaroni. The team behind the magic is enthusiastic and genuine. Worth a visit!“
