So Shari's came recommended to me. First time in Portland area. So I had the country fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I had a long day at work and I just wanted good comfort food. I'm a chef and been in the industry for years. The place had maybe 5 sets of customers for breakfast, but the waitress took that to be rush hour. Food wasn’t great and was barely warm by the time I got it. The eggs Benedict had the toughest pieces of ham, overcooked poached eggs, under-toasted English muffin, and the hollandaise sauce had no seasoning. Once done I had to wait 15 mins to get my check, and another 11 mins to actually pay. I got the impression that because I was by myself, I didn’t matter.

Once I got my meal, I never saw the sites again. She got a bit swamped, I get it.I saw a couple walk in and stand & wait to be greeted and seated. Neither happened, so they walked out. You've got to have fast & friendly hostsses/hosts with their head on a swivel (I used to be one, so I'm speaking from experience). Food was really good!
