“My whole family loved the food at the restaurant! I ordered the soup and salad and I have to say, the cream of mushroom soup was definitely the best I've ever had! Everything was so fresh and tasty!I love that they had so many gluten free options.“
“The taquitos here are delicious, made with fresh ingredients, seasoned perfectly, and balanced with some veggies and pickled onions. If you come at lunch hour, there can be a bit of a wait as they get a lot of regulars, but it's well worth it, or you can order online.“
“One of the best pizza joints in Portland some of the nicest folks ever. The care and love they put into their food also shows up in how they treat and pay their employees, which gets reflected in the quality of food and service. Always happy to pay more to get something unique and special, while supporting my community to boot!“
“We absolutely love Fresh Love! It’s a really great spot for breakfast or lunch. They have a lot of gluten free options and a great selection of products including local produce and baked goods.Dietary restrictions: The gluten free options here are really good!Kid-friendliness: A very welcoming atmosphere for everyone“
“I wanted to try a new place for date night and picked a good one. The food was excellent, the service was warm. I made a reservation for the purple room which has about 4 small tables. There is another room that has more tables and a bar. The restaurant is on the second floor of a converted house. I don't think they have an elevator, so you're aware. We got mostly what the waiter recommended. The chicken liver mousse tart was savory and delicate, crust being flaky and good contrast to the vinaigretted frissee. The grilled cauliflower still had crunch and umami. I picked the duck confit which had delicious crispy crust and a slight sweet, salty sauce. My husband had the pork coppa which is a braised pork shoulder over a sauce with delicious huge beans. I thought all the food was outstanding, the presentation was great and flavors well balanced. Ended the night with an almond flour orange cake, not too sweet. I might have skipped that one because the gelee was a little tart and cake a denser than expected. The waiter was great at helping us navigate the menu. I liked all the choices available and can't wait to try more of them. I don't think there is a wrong choice here. Their menu options rotate.“
“Had a great meal here on Friday night, including some of the best gluten free pasta we've ever had. Service was lovely, very professional and we were treated well. Was a nice evening out. We did make a reservation, which was ready and waiting for us. I would recommend reserving a table before hand as it gets quite busy. Can't wait to go back!“
“One of my favorite Portland restaurants! The team is so kind and the food is unique and delicious. Drinks are excellent too. The regular menu is great and they always have something interesting on special. There aren’t tons of vegetarian and vegan options, but enough that me and whoever is dining with me are always happy. :)“
“Some of the best Ethiopian I've ever had (and I grew up on it). Beautiful environment, and great service. The chickpea dish is so good I think of it all the time. One of my new favorite restaurants in Portland!Dietary restrictions: I think it might even be easy for a vegan. And the injera (the bread) is gluten-free!“
“Best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had! Delicious breakfast sandwich with free drip coffee, and a very friendly Nana. Vegetarians: when I said I didn’t want meat on my sandwich, she offered tomato instead which I thought was a nice touch! So lucky to have this spot in the neighborhood.“
“Always a wonderful experience. Top notch plant based cuisine with a wonderful twist of flavor combinations.True care and time goes into their menu, tonight we enjoyed house made tempe, sauces, vinegars, and fermented beverages that have been crafting for months.Far more than just a meal Astera delivers a dining experience worth the price of admission.Highly recommend!“
“WONDERFUL PLACE! I heard about this restaurant last night at work. We work at a local hospital. A few of us have wanted to try this place for a while. I will be recommending this everyone at work. Amazing food and the gentleman at the shop was so kind. We will come back.“
“Super impressed! They plant their own veggies and include in most dishes, foods are served by a robot!Ordered a Kimbap, added bulgogi as protein, it tastes different from what I tried before, it’s not greasy at all, healthy and delicious!“
“We visited Denizens Cafe today for the first time and we cannot recommend it enough. The food was excellent, the service was beyond great, and the two people working that day were so lovely and made us feel so welcome. We will for sure be back!“
“On my first visit, I went with a group and we shared nearly the entire pasta menu family-style. Before we even left, I was texting a friend about how they needed to try this place because each dish was, individually, the best pasta dish I’d ever had. On the next visit, I heard the table to the left of me say “This is the best bolognese I’ve ever had.” Earlier in the night the table to the right of me couldn’t stop talking about how the chicken cavatelli was their favorite pasta they’d ever had.So, come to Montelupo for the best pasta you’ll ever have!“
“Such a great spot! Oysters were super delicious, drinks were perfect, the staff was friendly and kind! Was not expecting such a steal on a Friday but here we are! We never come to china town either and now have a new reason too, as well as spotting a few other restaurants we're excited to try!“
“In a sea of Thai food, this is my white whale. I stumbled upon this place after having a deeply offensive experience at blutos. We were asked to go to the back of the line and wait again after already waiting 20 minutes, because they had too many tickets to put our ticket in as well. It was like being hit with a flash bang of gaslighting and snubbery. This inexplicable event happened on an evening when I was entertaining friends from out of town. This proverbial slap to the face came after a long day of hiking and little food. Now hangery and nearing the dreaded hour of nine in Portland, we used what little blood sugar we had left to high tail it to the nearest establishment. We walked into rudkiew at 8:45 feeling guilty, and hastily ordered our food. They whipped that work in ten minutes flat true to Thai form. It tasted like we were transported to Thailand and it brought pure elation to our wounded hearts, and that says everything you need to know. They also gave us free spring rolls to boot just to put the cherry on top. I’ve been going back ever since and it slaps everytime.“
“stopped by for late lunch and tried their bento based on the great reviews (lunch pricing ends at 3pm). the food was super fresh and yummy! ordering is via QR code on the tables. the server was kind and checked on us. sashimi and sushi were fresh. the spicy chicken serving was probably twice the size of what i usually get in a bento. i ended up bringing most of the chicken & rice home and had them for dinner. this meal fed me all day!“
“The food was good. It was better the last visit.Steak was overcooked, and beet salad missed the mark. Special with seafood was good, cooked perfectly. Drinks, good. The place is loud and, although nice to have a breeze, was cold with the windows opened. The server was very pleasant. We did not choose to have dessert as the selection consisted maily of ice cream items. Again, it was a chilly evening.Parking: Downtown, limited in area.“
“Just take-out/delivery only, but service is great and the food is DELICIOUS! I love the fried plantains and the fried chicken is maybe the best I've ever had - love the salt and pepper breading - so crunchy and excellent with the hot sauce. Enjoy!“
“Absolutely insane sandwiches. The flavor profiles are so well thought out. I got the prosciutto brie melt, my husband got the tony, and both were so phenomenal that I could not pick a favorite if you were holding me over a vat of acid. Save room for dessert.“
“Amazing food! We had the platter that comes with all the favorites and it was the best Mediterranean food we’ve ever had! Highly, highly recommend. And the family working there was super nice to us, even with our toddler doing toddler things.“
“Oma’s Hideaway offers tasty tapas style Malaysian and Singaporean street food (1 plate can comfortably serve 2 people). Possibly the best Roti in the city! Maybe the highlight of the night.Great for date night or a group experience.Knowledgeable staff, outdoor seating, and street parking.Be prepared to $$.Enjoy!“
“5 stars all around! The amount of love, identity, thought and detail that go into curating the dining experience that is Langbaan, is a unique and very special gastronomic adventure. From the Kanin Krak (scallop), Tom Prape (salmon), Gang Pai (brisket in cha om leaf curry) to the Rice Khao Lam (sticky rice pudding + fixins), your tastebuds are in for a treat that takes dining to an entire new level, another world and culture of flavor! Plus, they really care about the visuals - they made beets look like blood! March was the month highlighting Isaan, the chef’s hometown in Northern Thailand, we really get a taste of his childhood, very nostalgic.I look forward to the month where the menu is unapologetically Thai! I’m talking bile, blood, tripe, and all of the authenticity that makes Thai cuisine so bold and flavorful. I appreciate how thoughtful the chefs are when designing the menu. I encourage customers to be open to the Thai food scene, in all its forms!! I have no doubt that Langbaan will always put heart and soul into their menu. Thank you to the entire staff for their hospitality and for an exceptional dining experience for my birthday and anniversary!“
“Really really good burger! The garlic fries are super good- we ordered them and then asked for them to be well done and they were so crispy and delicious. They have a lemonade with whatever featured berries and that was also good. They don’t have a large menu so more like a place that does something and does it well. I look forward to trying their chicken and fish sandwiches.“
“Went here the other night for the first time in a while, for dinner. I was warmly greeted upon entry and directed to seating. Excellent vibes and nice decor. We ordered the appetizer combo and chicken satay to start. I had the evil jungle noodle medium spicy. It was as delicious as I remember. One of my friends had the tom yum with shrimp and said they were very pleased with it. Good prices for downtown and generous portions. Great service! Definitely recommend this place! Parking can be tricky as it sits on a busy corner of 2 one-way streets, but if you dont mind walking a block or 2, youll be fine.“
“This place is exactly what I needed in this city! The quality of the food is great, with fresh ingredients that scream healthiness. The menu offers a range from savory to sweet, ensuring there's something for every palate. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is just right. I'll definitely be coming back again and again!“
“Got the salciccia and vegetariana sandwich both were excellent. Nice saucy sandwiches on fresh toasted bread that still has a bit of squish and chew to it. Pickled veg on the side is a perfect palate cleanser. All around would recommend. Plus the staff is super “
“I've been ordering takeout pizza from Rudy's for about two years now and I've never had a bad experience. The prices can be a little bit higher than I'd like, but the portions are large, the staff is friendly, and the quality is always top-notch. I particularly recommend the Margherita and trying out the tomato pesto base.Vegetarian options: I've only had their pizza, but there are quite a few meat alternatives available as toppings, and an impressive selection of different vegan bases.“
“We were lucky enough to get an amazing outside table at paella night. What a wonderful experience and evening with great drinks and great food. We only wished they had introduced themselves or said a few words about their background and why they do paella night.“
“as old skool as ya gonna find in rosy metropole(s) these daze. yer drinkin' comrades will prolly look like they still play grunge, and/or wrench onna ze nearest bike within an arms stretch... ooooh & ze drink program aqui? non_parallel, gitcha sum!?“
“Best pizza we’ve had in a lonnnggg tiime, best salad too I might add! Authentic stone oven baked crust, not tough and dry at all. Not too soft either, just perfect! The toppings are the right amount, they do not overwhelm or underwhelm the crust, and very fresh to boot! The kale/greens salad was. 100% amazing, with a fragnant light dressing, almost lemon-y. The smaller size salad was more than ample for 2 of us. The place was busy, but the service was well-organized and reasonable, not too slow. The staff were nice. The atmosphere has that traditional pizza parlour feel, big wooden tables, nothing fancy or pretentious. We were at the NW Portland location on 23rd. The drink choices wete also fabulous, highly recommend the pomegranate cider, It was 10 Barrel brand, a local outlfit. Price of everything was very affordable, perfect for Canadian visitors who pay the exchange when travelling to the US. Awesome dinner all the way :)Vegetarian options: Large, fantastic salads. Fresh veggie toppings.“
“Fresh and delicious! Chess Tacos took over the space that used to be El Diablito which had some of the best tacos in Portland [just my opinion] so they had big shoes to fill and did not disappoint.I tried the Pollo Burrito and really enjoyed it. The service was friendly and quick. The burrito is loaded with fresh ingredients, the chicken cooked perfectly, and great flavor! The chips are fresh and crisp, the perfect addition to the burrito. The avocado sauce is a bit meh, but other than that it's all delicious. I will be back to try some of their other salsas and some tacos! Will update once I've tried more, but it was a very pleasant first visit. I took my order to go but there are picnic tables with umbrellas or a few bar seats on the deck if you want to hangout for a bit to enjoy your food.“
“Got the turkey cranberry relish with Brie panini and the sandwich special which was a corned beef, sauerkraut, Gouda and pickle panini. Both sandwiches were amazing and ready for pickup on time. The staff was helpful and nice. This is going to be our new go to sandwich shop!“
“Always enjoy the food at Laughing Planet. Unfortunately, the location in Lake Oswego closed, requiring quite a trip to enjoy it, but it makes for a special occasion. Very friendly to people with dietary needs and offers a small selection of canned alcoholic beverages. Excellent for children.Vegetarian options: This is a great place for anyone with special dietary needs, particularly vegetarian or vegan. The offerings are highly customizable and they offer options.“
“I've been here 4 times and it's always very enjoyable. The downstairs dining room is smaller, so I'd suggest making a reservation as it's where all the atmosphere is at. I ate upstairs once - the atmosphere is definitely not as cool up there BUT you can rent it for events, which is cool. The drinks are great and the food good.“
“Great to have a salad option in the airport! Ingredients were fresh and topping options are expansive. Really appreciated two vegan protein options- vegan chik’n and tofu. 4 different vegan dressing options was nice too, though most were olive oil or vinegar heavy. I found the pricing pretty fair and I’ll definitely be back when passing through this terminal.“
“The lady who works there is AMAZING ? Her family has owned the place 22 years she hooked it up and seriously treated us amazing! Doesn't hurt that the food is also fire she also knows good substitutes to reccomend for your philly sandwhiches if one sounds good but don't like everything on it she's very good with giving reccomendations and substitutes for what's on them!“
“I got a medium pad kee mao and loved the variety of vegetables as well as the fact that the wide rice noodles were not overcooked. Their mango sticky rice is one of the best I've ever had! I have not been able to find mangoes this ripe and sweet in a while. And of course, the staff are so hospitable and kind. I'll definitely be back!“
“Delicious, but slow. First, this is an indoor "cart pod" facility and Coco Garden is over off the options. There is a performance venue, and lots of tables. It is like a mall food court, but in a good way. A Thai place inside Zed, they have an extensive set of gluten free options. I got pineapple curry and my husband got pineapple fried rice (see the theme?) I also got Thai ice tea. All tasty and worthwhile. I was sad that the ice tea was made with half and half, rather than coconut milk, but I also didn't ask if I could have a substitute. The only downside was how long the food took. Our party ordered from multiple locations. The others had finished their meal before ours was ready. So, give it a try, just need prepared to wait.“
“Our son decided to take the family here, for one of the adults' birthday! This will be the first time, we've heard of this restaurant, to be honest. There were six of us eating here for the first time, ages 6-73. I call this a Tapas-style restaurant because almost everything was meant for sharing. Starting of course with a large fondue, with a steaming urn of hot melted cheese. The fondue came with a nice variety of sausages, vegetables and bread, and thinly slices of apples. Other things we shared were the Schnitzel, smoked trout, Bavarian pretzel, golden beets, and the burger Alpina which was served with fries. For desert we had the flourless chocolate cake and panna cotta. Between us we did have a glass of wine, a couple cocktails and an IPA. This is a gastro pub and the drinks menu is extensive. All of the food items were delicious and as described on the menu. Service was friendly and appropriately paced. The bathrooms are clean. Our youngest, conversed easily and both were polite to our waiter, who understands children! Bonus point for him.“
“They were out of a lot of to-go cold soup, but the people were nice, and the food was delicious. I even bought an extra sandwich to go! Don't skip out on the cookies they're soft, and they really hit the spot for that post-meal sweets craving. We got a hot turkey sandwich (my husband LOVED this - a combo of the cheese pull and onions), steak sandwich, mac n cheese, shortbread cookie (my fave), double chocolate cookie (husband's fave), and a cute elephant shaped shortbread cookie. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I would go again“
“Hadn't been here for 10+ years. Just as good as I remember. No one else there for breakfast on a Monday morning, not sure why, but we really appreciated it. The breakfast burrito was good but OMG the maple sausage break pudding sandwich was all time.“
“I've been in Portland for 10 years, and Coquine has been on my radar for a while now. I was so excited when my friend made reservations (about a month in advance). I absolutely love the location near Mt. Tabor. It's really special, sitting there on its own with the market right next to it. I parked right in front of the restaurant. We were seated next to the window, and it ambience was lovely. I think you can get away wearing what you want, but dressing up is 100% appropriate. Food is clean, beautiful, and simple in a good way. We started with the trout roe and bread, and that was great. It was a fun, enjoyable start - you make your toast by putting your own toppings on. I got the 1/2 chicken, and thought it was cooked perfectly. I also got about 2 full meals out of it, so I'd say pricing was good. I loved when the server poured the carrot soup into my friend's bowl at the table. Shout out to the bus boy who folded my napkin and sat it down next to me as I came back from the bathroom. Clearly everyone pays close attention to what is going on. This is a Portland must. I'd say it pretty much embraces Portland dining at it's best.“
“The Caesar salad made with radicchio was super impressive. The large plate that fed about 4 was fluffy and piled high with Parmesan and lightly dressed. I would have eaten all of it if I didn't need to save room for pizza. It was that good. The combination pizza was light and crispy and I liked how it was cut into squares. The deep crust pizza was just right for my son.“
“A total slice of SoCal! Came in for lunch on a cold blustery day and was pleasantly surprised to find the Beach Hut living up to it's name. Felt warm and inviting, from the folks at the counter to the beach decor. There is an excellent selection of food and drinks and my Hobie sandwich was absolutely delish! My partner and I both lived in SoCal in earlier years and we both totally felt transported as we sat in the back section with the private booths that each have a surf board for a table and even your own tv and remote.“
“I love this cart. Oh well, haters gonna h8. I'll drive across the city for one of their plates, they're so good! They consistently hook it up with the large portions, plus lots of sides. I typically order the Mixed Meat Plate. Come with chicken kebab, which is my fave. Get a baklava, too. Very tasty. A solid choice if you have a big appetite, like me lol“
“My favorite neighborhood Thai spot. The staff are very friendly. They have good vegetarian options and the food is yummy!Vegetarian options: You can get several dishes with tofu or extra vegetables. Sometimes I special request broccoli or egg for the protein and there’s never been a problem.“
“Don’t walk too fast or you’ll pass it. Cool place I stumbled onto. Bad signage great food. Corn chowder tastes homemade to me and I’m a soup snob. Cornbread OMG! Pastrami sandwich dad would love. Soups, salads and sandwiches. Subway on steroids!“
“Update: my now WIFE and I still go here all the time! Just as delicious as it was seven years ago. Still one of our favorite spots. Peter, the owner is sweet and will joke around with you if you ever come in.My girlfriend and I are regulars here. It's our favorite restraunt in Portland by far. The veggie combo and beef tibs are the best we've ever had. I can not recommends eating here enough.“
“Wow wow wow wow! The potato wedges are amazing. Especially the fact that they’re gluten-free! I ordered their special Masego chicken burger on a lettuce wrap and it is spectacular. My partner ordered the pesto, chicken burger. I love that they have a pile of pickles as a side dish. I like to see a food cart that has this many options for people with dietary restrictions. I will definitely be back.Edit- next trip I had three beets to the wind (chicken) which was amazing and my partner had chicken cordon blue which he loved. The potatoes were a bit overcooked this time but still yummy.Vegetarian options: They have a housemaid gluten-free dairy, free lentil pattyDietary restrictions: Lots of options for people with gluten sensitivities“
