“Service is always quick and kind. The food is excellent, fresh, unique, and caters to several different dietary restrictions. The location is convenient for workers at or near Montgomery Park, and the music is calming and chill. What an awesome spot!“
“I was SO excited to visit this place with my best friend who lives out of town. We finally made it there and it is even better than I imagined! It is whimsical and colorful and a pure delight to children and inner children alike! Delicious coffee and snacks and super chill staff (and great pricing to boot!) The scavenger hunt is such a fun idea and such a smart way to bring well-deserved attention to Mike's spectacular artwork! The quality and quantity of his art is incredibly impressive and a true labor of love. We even got to chat with the artist and he was so humble, so sweet and so friendly! Cannot recommend this place highly enough!“
“What a gem of a coffee shop!! We are so glad we tucked in for a cup of coffee. The coffee is delicious and the latte art is so cute. The desserts were the perfect sweet treat for a rainy Saturday afternoon. The shop carries so many darling items, many are perfect for cat lovers. We will definitely be back!!“
“We absolutely love Fresh Love! It’s a really great spot for breakfast or lunch. They have a lot of gluten free options and a great selection of products including local produce and baked goods.Dietary restrictions: The gluten free options here are really good!Kid-friendliness: A very welcoming atmosphere for everyone“
“Our whole family loves to eat here, and tons of GF options. Yummy!Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: My child loves it here. Fresh squeezed OJ and powdered sugar topped waffles… who could ask for more??“
“This has been on my list to try for a long time and it did not disappoint! This has easily made my top 3 favorite brunch spots in Portland. When you enter, you can order on their screens to the right side of the cafe. They have both sweet and savory crepes, as well as coffee and other beverages. We got the okonomiyaki, breakfast, and matcha anko crepes. I also got the strawberry matcha latte and pandan latte. Everything was delicious. I was blown away by the matcha anko crepe, love the blend of matcha and red bean flavors - can't stop thinking about this crepe. The okonomiyaki was my second favorite and would get it again. I can pass on the breakfast crepe next time. The drinks were so delicious and I would definitely try the flight next time. Love the ambiance of this restaurant with the plant decor. The servers were so friendly and kind! I can't wait to come back again!“
“Went here for lunch. Their burgers are very good and the French fries are amazing!. Also have had breakfast here. If you like traditional eggs bacon and potatoes, you will be happy. If you like pancakes, make sure you are hungry because you won't believe how big they are. And very delicious.“
“Best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had! Delicious breakfast sandwich with free drip coffee, and a very friendly Nana. Vegetarians: when I said I didn’t want meat on my sandwich, she offered tomato instead which I thought was a nice touch! So lucky to have this spot in the neighborhood.“
“I love Ken’s for a quick coffee or lunch. Their list of sandwiches looks incredible and I’m looking forward to trying more of the menu. The staff is very helpful and bubbly. I also love that they have dairy-alternative milk for no additional cost! I’d definitely recommend heating up your pastries if possible, it really kicks it up a notch.“
“My wife and I stopped by The Pie Spot on our way through Portland, and it was perfect! The service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the pie was delicious. I had the white chocolate orange mousse, which was perfection. I will definitely stop by again next time I'm in town!“
“Had the cheese matcha and it is the best in the game!! Super high quality matcha, not too much ice and the cheese topping adding just the perfect amount of savory creamy goodness to the drink. Favorite matcha place in all of Portland and the metro area!“
“SERIOUSLY THE BEST!!! Not only is the Kombucha the best I’ve ever had, the CBD is a must have as well!! I just had surgery and wasn’t feeling fabulous when I arrived at the Farmers Market yesterday. I tried the amazing Kombucha with a shot of the CBD and I literally felt amazing by the time I left and STILL have no pain!! THANK YOU! Sincerely, Customer for Life!!! ❤️“
“This place is fantastic. This was our first visit. The customer ahead of us was giddy to recommend their house made vanilla syrup for our coffee drink and the “wicked awesome” sandwich. We aren’t vegetarians but he was so insistent that we changed our order to a vanilla latte ( which was divine) and the recommended sandwich. Service was efficient and friendly. The sandwich was a generous serving with a lot of flavor. It managed to avoid being dry without being greasy. 10/10 would do again.Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from for the veggie friendly crowd.“
“I had my doubts at first about the ricotta hotcakes with how many flavors they incorporate, but it BLEW MY MIND! definitely recommend this place just based on that alone, but all the other dishes were also stellar - we had the potato hash and the Just Beet It salad.Kid-friendliness: There’s a kids area with toys and books!“
“Just want to leave this review because after seeing how many people give this shop bad reviews because they are vegan is insane! It’s like going to chic-fil-a and being pissed they don’t have burgers. Try something new! Blend some non-dairy options! Stop leaving bad reviews because they don’t have cows milk.“
“Jenni's warmth is palpable and very authentic. She owns this warm and homely space where she is glad to share her moving story. I enjoyed delicious pastries with my friend as we enjoyed the cozy vibes. Please patronise Jenni's Sacred Grounds. I'm sure you'll love it, and love her. Bless her heart. Thank you for sharing your story, Jenni.“
“Nice, chill coffee shop. They have a small drink menu and pastry options. The coffee has solid flavor & barista did a good job. Some indoor seating. I esp like their attached & covered outdoor seating setup. A great spot to sit and enjoy a drink semi-insight with the pup.“
“I've only been here twice but each time was such a good experience, I can't wait to go back! Excellent food with rotating specialties, kind and affable staff and delicious coffee. You wouldn't think it would feel as nice as it does looking on the outside (the space used to be a Starbucks) but it is quite pleasant! I highly recommend checking it out. I am delightfully surprised each time I'm here!“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Absolutely stellar experience! The aroma of freshly brewed coffee drew me in, and the rich flavor of their specialty blends kept me coming back for more. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making each visit a delight. The convenience of having this gem on wheels is unbeatable. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just in need of a pick-me-up, this coffee truck is a must-visit!“
“This is a priceless little secret in Sellwood! The food is so delicious. Fresh and fun. The staff are friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. It's very cute inside, but prepare to wait during prime times. Was there today for the first time. I'll be back“
“This is my current favorite coffee shop! I love the GF Brazilian Cheese waffles, as someone with Celiac, I am just so very happy to have these when I go to Nossa (please keep them forever!)!!!! My favorite beverage is the Golden Milk Latte. The staff are always so kind and helpful. A genuinely lovely atmosphere and super tasty beverages!“
“Best latte I've had in a while and it came with a little chocolate. They have a little market with meats, cheeses, and desserts. I think I got a couple of cookies that were gluten free, but I'm not sure and the friendly employee didn't seem to understand what I was asking. This place is worth a visit if you are in the area. It makes a great place to stock up for a picnic.“
“This is a cozy little spot for breakfast and coffee. I got biscuits and gravy and my wife got the breakfast sandwich with jalapeno feta. Even though she isn't a huge fan of feta she loved a sandwich and I loved my order as well. They have a huge coffee and tea selection too. We will definitely be back to try more.“
“I love this place! It’s fast and convenient. You pay the same amount you would at a Starbucks/ popular chain but get wayy better quality and inventive foods/ drinks. Plus you’re supporting local! The owner is also very sweet. 100% recommend.“
“It’s Portland, so be ready for not great service, but the cappuccino is amazing! The mocha is also highly recommended.Great atmosphere, seating, and decorations. The entrance is through the hotel.Parking: Mostly street parking and pay during most hours.“
“The baristas at this coffee shop are awesome! This is a very chill and inviting place to sit back, sip, read, relax, or gab with staff and locals. I recommend trying their everything bagel with fancy cream cheese (Avocado & Garlic, Sundried Tomato).“
“Tried Carnelian for the first time this morning and what a hidden gem! I had an iced orange mocha and was really happy to find out all of their flavors/syrups are housemade and organic. I'm not usually a fan of fruity flavors in espresso, but I was really impressed with how smooth and balanced my drink was. The atmosphere in the place is very warm and our barista was kind and patient while we decided our order. The food options are assorted pastries and bagels with shmear. Small tables available in the back room for getting work done and on a sunny day they have tables outside. Will be coming back here!“
“Do not tell anybody about this super awesome coffee spot! Hand crafted coffee drinks and teas featuring Super Joy Coffee Roasters small batch speciality coffees. On mu most recent visit I got a pepper mocha and it was fabulous. Do yourself a favor and get a coffee now. No regrets. Promise. Just don't tell not no one.“
“this place has the best energy, and best lattes. it's giving minimalist artistic thrifty western? good music, comfy seating with big back pillows, strong wifi and tasty coffee. love the jam iced latte n peanut brittle☕️Dietary restrictions: lots of non dairy milksParking: street parking out front is decent“
“Fleur de Lis is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Portland. The hot meals are good and the pastries are ?! Despite significant ambient noise, it is a pretty good zoom meeting location as well because they have lots of light, lots of seating and wifi.Parking: I’ve never needed to park more than 1 block away.“
“Quintessential hole in the wall, quirky American diner. Good food, sizeable portions, accommodating and friendly staff. It's really small and tight inside so expect to wait in line outside during peak business hours. It can be very loud inside - so if you're someone who gets overwhelmed by sound, definitely wear your headphones or earplugs. Waffles and pancakes are huge. Their chicken fried steak is my favorite breakfast that they serve.“
“I really enjoyed the cool vibes of this coffeehouse. My cappuccino was good as well. The only thing missing for me was customer service. The staff wasn't very engaging, but if you just want to chill and grab a good coffee, this is a good spot.“
“Really good food, only reason it's a 4 star is because eggs aren't seasoned that well, but great quality bread and good fluffy eggs. Bacon was also kinda light but I still enjoyed it. Definitely recommend the Lloyd breakfast panini“
“I ordered the Mexican Hot chocolate with almond milk made with the chocolate from Vietnam. It's rich with some spice to it and not just hot.My wife got the chocolate chill. It was super good! This has been the best drinking chocolate experience I've had by far.Highly recommend it.“
“We stop in for drinks (smoothies, shakes, and coffee) everyone once in a while, and are never disappointed! Really delicious!! And the staff is always super helpful when we are trying to decide what we are in the mood for. I wish this business many, many more years here, they are a great addition to have on Fessenden.“
“The atmosphere was more like a bar than a breakfast place, maybe because it was a rainy and dark day outside. The interior is spacious and there are no booth seats, only long counters or table seats. We ordered clam chowder, Reuben, and avocado Benedict. Everything was well-cooked and delicious, but the clam chowder was too salty for us.“
“Came in on the train and had a layover. Asked the Amtrack person where I should grab coffee and they recommended here.Glad I listened to them because the coffee, vibes, and view were awesome. Sat here for a while chilling and enjoying the straight drip coffee, both light and dark brews. Highly recommend to people who enjoy the taste of a well roasted a flavorful bean.If you’re in town for a bit, stop by for some drip??heard their other drinks were good too but didn’t have a chance to try before I was fully caffeinated.“
“The staff, the amazing pastry selection, the house made lunch menu, the co and y booths are all 10/10. A real gathering spot for the neighborhood, Kelsey Lauren and the rest of the crew are just plain amazing. Check out the rotating featured artist too!“
“Good selection of baked goods and drinks. Just be ready to awkwardly stand at the counter waiting to order because the folks here look at you then just keep working on previous orders without saying anything courteous like "will be right with you in a minute". Maybe they don't want travelers or maybe they're just shy idk. When she was finally ready to take my order she couldn't even say "what would you like" lol just stared at me. Not really rude in my opinion but not super inviting either.“
“Nuvrei was such a cool little bakery with a great selection of pastries to choose from. Their macaroon's looked so delicious and there were so many flavors. I ended up going with the chewy cashew cookie which is amazing. Alongside that, I got a latte which was beautifully made. The service friendly and easy, the person working was doing a great job making good coffee and being a friendly energy. I highly recommend a stop at Nuvrei!“
“This was an amazing find in a city filled with coffee shops. There was nothing stuffy about the place and the service was impeccable. We sat in the window and watched locals stroll in greeted by first name... and we were treated just like we were daily customers as well. If you’re in Portland and you’re near 40 LBS make it a stop!“
“Busy spot, Nice service and quick turnaround although my gf ordered no bacon on her breakfast sandwich and received almost twice as much as I did lol. She's a good sport and I took the extra bacon home but it was odd because the guy who took our order was very aware of our request. you're not waiting for your food for a long time either which is nice compared to other cafe spots and I enjoyed my BACON full breakfast sandwich. Had a vanilla ice latte as well which was great.Oh ya cowboy cookie is a good choice. Nice and moist. “
“Cute neighborhood cafe! Their coffee was good, and they have some good food items for a small bite to eat. They have a picnic table and nice outdoor patio seating on the street. They also have some indoor seating, although you’ll want to place your order at the outdoor window before going inside. Note that they do charge 50 cents extra for credit card transactions, and ask for tips. The prices can be a bit high because of this.Dietary restrictions: Vegan milk options available for drinks“
“Not only do they have great coffee and baked goods, but it's a fun and unique take on a coffee shop, which I love. Our drip coffee and macchiato were both delicious. And the cookie and almond croissant (day old) were tasty! She heated up the croissant for us and despite being in a bit of a hurry, we couldnt resist sitting and enjoying the place. Fun, friendly, unique vibes. If i lived in ne pdx this would be my regular spot for sure.“
“My girlfriend and I popped in here on a walk around the neighborhood the other day and got some chicken noodle soup and cheesecake to go. We had the soup for dinner and it was delicious...but let me tell you about the cheesecake! We just tasted the cheesecake now, and both agree this is the best cheesecake we've ever had! Excellent! Cannot wait to get it again!!!!“
“In my opinion, this is the best coffee you'll find in Portland. Typical of a third-wave roaster, Heart take time to understand the best way to roast and brew coffee. Their pastries come from Nuvrei, the best French baker in town, in my opinion. But Heart's cappuccino steals the show every time. Every barista does it so perfectly that this sets the bar for what ALL coffee should be like.“
“My favorite place in the neighborhood to grab a bite and a drink! The staff is always so kind and the food is DELICIOUS. Tacos made with line-caught sockeye salmon, are you kidding me?! And June Shine kombucha on tap?? Soo good. My partner always gets the breakfast burrito which is absolutely stacked. You have my heart, Cosube.“
“We’re so happy to have found this spot. The cart is a short walk from the farmer’s market. He said he’s been there 10 years!! The owner clearly cares for his community and shows this by encouraging a “pay it forward”process as well as using local businesses to source his offerings. Great spicy chai~ thanks so much!! I didn’t see the pastries but will certainly be back to give those a try (you had me at best almond croissant ever Jonathon Perez! ?)“
“Sweet, pun intended, little Saturday pop-up shop attached to the Brooklyn neighborhood’s new production bakery, Flour Market. They freshly bake and serve up delicious breads, pastry, cookies and delicious cold-brew coffee. As the world returns to normal I believe they’ll be open more often for walk-ups during the week but for now it’s easy to pre-order through their website, FB or IG accounts. You’ll be more than glad you did.“
“I have lived in Morocco and been traveling there since the 1970s. my lunch yesterday at Kasbah Moroccan Cafe was undoubtedly the best Moroccan food I have eaten in the US. The food was delicious and authentic. Portions were generous. While we had to eat outside due to Covid, we could see that the inside of the cafe was attractively done in Moroccan style. The owner was very friendly. My son-in-law is Moroccan and he loved the food as well. I unreservedly recommend this place and will make a point of eating there next time I visit Portland.“
