“My favorite Thai food in town. The owners are wonderful and the food is the best. some of my favorites are Drunken Noodle, Curry, Pinneapple fried rice, Stir fried Cashew Chicken, oh all of it! All items are TASTY! Just go and taste! To top it all off, the prices are very reasonable.“

“Okay, it's really just a local pizza place, so atmosphere is what you'd expect, but clean and pleasant. The staff are beyond pleasant and the food is always delicious. Never been disappointed at any of their restaurantsParking: Plenty of space“

“I was looking for a place that was open and offered good food along with soup. I decided that Uptown Cafe was my best choice and stopped in as a single diner yesterday around 7 PM. I appreciated that they are open until 9 PM as most places around here close at 8 PM and I don't like going to eat at a location that I know is closing up soon. There were a few tables occupied and one server. I looked at their specials which included a creamy mushroom soup! After a short time he came over to seat me and was very affable.I was seated at a nice window seat and decided upon the mushroom soup and their special pot roast. The server came back over to my table and took my order. He apologized for the wait, which in this post-covid era, wasn't much of a wait at all.My soup came out right away, and it was delicious. I was able to enjoy it while waiting for my food. The main course arrived and it was a huge portion size. I ate half of it and had to take the other half home. The pot roast was cooked perfectly, melting off my fork. The entire meal was very reasonably priced and exceeded my expectations. I had not visited here before because the outside and the location gave me the impression it was an average tourist stop along the way to the coast but I could not have been more wrong about that.I will definitely be back again!“

“Buoy Beer Co. is a charming culinary gem. From their mouthwatering salmon sandwich to their delightful shrimp cocktail, every bite is a taste of perfection. But what truly makes this place shine is the warm welcome you receive from the friendly and awesome staff. It's like stepping into a cozy retreat where good food and great company come together effortlessly. With quick service and a laid-back atmosphere, Buoy Beer Co. is the epitome of casual dining done right.“

“Don't let the unassuming exterior dissuade you; this place is the real thing! Great location, delicious margaritas, and the best Mexican food we've had on the Oregon Coast. Top marks for the chicken mole (best I've ever had in the USA), the birria tacos, and the guisado de camarones. So happy to have made this discovery!“

“Unique and hard to find beers found here. It’s rare to come across a place with so many beers on tap and a huge variety of bottles in self-serve coolers. This place has got something for even the most pick beer snob. It’s also really laid back. The guy running the place was a blast to talk to. Everywhere you look is a little bit of character.“

“After checking the city out for an upcoming middle school field trip and hiking through the immersive old growth of the Cathedral Tree Trail, I shared a wonderful TLT (Tempeh Lettuce Tomato) with my soul mate at this great spot below Fort George Brewery. Lots of veggie and vegan options, baked goods and made to order sandos and burritos- along with whole loaf bread to-go.Our sandwich was perfectly crisp, filled with savory tempeh bacon, sliced tomatoes, greens and avocado. A dainty yet effective side-salad and mini pickle added value and a bit of flourish. Decaf double oat milk latte for the ride home...Make a stop here, find the non-disposable napkins, real silverware and eclectic magazines for purchase as proof that someone here has vision.“

“We were referred to Ship Out by the gals at the Astoria Column and in the mood for a drive and something 'eclectic ' we took their advise. Not only were we delighted with the food, but the funky ambiance on a rainy day was delightful! After enjoying a great lunch, bellys' full and looking to get on the road, I left, leaving my handbag behind. 4 hrs later and that far away I discovered my loss. I quickly sent a message to their website and within an hour, they reassured me that they had it and would get it back to me, which they did by shipping it home and the rest of my journey was carefree. Is the service there outstanding? YES, in every way! Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes! again! When in Astoria, try Ship Out!“

“I understand that it might seem strange to order pizza without cheese. I've been this way for as long as I can remember, so I understand when a restaurant makes a mistake and needs to remake my pizza. Most people are so accustomed to making pizza with cheese that it's almost a reflex. I'm pretty sure something similar happened tonight at the Fultanos in Astoria, OR. It took a bit longer than usual to get my pizza (they were also quite busy). The difference between Fultanos and other pizzerias is that they didn't just remake my pizza and apologize; they also gave me a coupon for $20 off my next order. If they had simply remade the pizza, I would have left satisfied, but they went above and beyond to ensure my happiness. That's excellent customer service that definitely deserves 5 stars!“

“We often eat at Bridgewater Bistro and have had many excellent experiences there. Our most recent visit was weaker than most because they were short-handed and we waited quite a while for someone to take our drink order. The food and drinks were as excellent as always, however.“

“One of the best kept secrets on the Oregon Coast. This is a little hole in the wall on a busy street in Astoria with a changing seasonal menu and some of the best vibes in town. There's always something new and interesting coming to the menu, including chef-foraged ingredients and private dining experiences where the chef curates a special menu just for you. Kenzo, the owner-chef, is a wonderful human being, fun to talk to & just a genuinely kind guy. Stay and chat with him - he's a wealth of knowledge of the local area. He's leaning into more vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options, which is great, but he also has plenty of meat and glutenous options for you.If you're coming to Astoria, check the Busu Instagram to find out whether he's open & what's on the menu. You won't regret it.“

“Food was amazing. Honestly really hit the spot and while we had to refrain from ordering while hungry and having the whole menu this was honestly the perfect amount. I had a black currant cider with my meal and it was a great match for the food.My only gripe and why the atmosphere doesn’t get 5 stars is the seating is so scattered. And since we were looking for a place to sit we ended up having to be outside. Thankfully it wasn’t raining but yeah it would have probably made it better if the options for being outside wasn’t only big tables or tables with stools so high you can’t properly eat your food.“

“My true rating is of the pub, 4/5 stars for the pub. We got the fish and chips and the Cajun pasta. The fish and chips was the best of the 2; the only downside being that it was double fried so although it had great crunch, it was too breaded and we had to pick around to eat just the fish. But the daily caught cod was amazing! And the fries are ultimately the best part of the meal! The cajum alfredo pasta was a 3/5 - flavor was there but the sauce was soupy and not creamy like a typical alfredo. We ordered it with prawns and it came with 5 which was more than expected (3 typical) but 2 of them still had their poop sacks so it made it unpleasant to pick through and eat them. They were big prawns than typically I would expect so that was a positive! The service and stay was 5/5! The room, although small, was perfect for 2 nights. We do plan to come back as the overall experience of the town and inn was welcoming and wonderful.“

“Updated to add that the owner really went out of her way to make it right. We will give it another try next time we're in town.I'll start by saying that our food was mostly decent save for the burger which was extremely overdone. I don't normally get overly concerned with service but there were a few things that really irked me.First I was sent with my ($85) pickup order with no cutlery. I went back in to ask for it and was handed two forks, one of which the packaging had already been opened and was told that's all they had. Which is unfortunate because 3 of us ordered soup.I also noticed after leaving that I was charged $0.75 for dressing for my salad. I can understand a charge for extra dressing, but I did not ask for extra anything. I was also charged for sauce for chicken strips. I was asked what kind of sauce I wanted for the chicken - no mention of an extra charge. Finally I was charged $3.00 for ordering takeout. Again this wouldn't really be as big of a deal if it was disclosed prior to me arriving to pick up my order.Would not eat here again and would not recommend. Just not worth the price and the hassle.“

“The food and service were great! Oddly enough, the beers on tap weren't very cold. We're big Rogue fans and didn't even know this one existed, until we're drove by. The one across the bridge in Newport is still my fave, but we had a good time here.“

“We ate here for Mother's Day. The pork belly appetizer was awesome. The seafood pasta was good but perhaps it could have used a bit more taste so I had to salt and pepper it a little. My husband's salmon was good but again, probably could have used a bit more taste. The freshness of the foods were excellent. We thought the $10 berry lemonade that they had special for Mother's Day was overpriced for a glass that did not have refills and which had a lot of ice. Overall, it was good but not outstanding.“

“Gourmet experience, affordable price! Lots and lots of gluten-free options. Very helpful staff. Honestly one of the best lunches I have ever had. The atmosphere is cozy in the back of the restaurant, nice and bright in the front. Pure delight. We had:GF Rogue quesadillas (oodles of blue cheese and buffalo chicken)Chicken nachos (tasty, crispy, good barbecue sauce)Curry Quesadilla (apples, walnuts, chicken, cheese, And the best damn honey mustard I’ve ever tasted in my life.)Chips and salsa are great too, love the red white and blue chips, the salsa is fresh and cold and refreshing. The gentleman who took our order was most helpful, professional and very sweet. If I could give 10 stars I would! A word of warning, if you come here you’ll want to come back again and again.“

“Nice menu, large portions and freshly made. The food was delicious and not overcooked, nice selection of items and friendly staff. The service was fast but we didn't feel rushed. They had standard Asian cuisine and then a selection of American items (burgers) which is a plus! Would return when in the area.“

“My date and I dropped in for Thai food on a Friday evening in April and were greeted and seated immediately at one of the four tables inside the restaurant. The smell upon entering the establishment was a foreshadowing of the delicious food we were soon served. We enjoyed the Astoria Potstickers as an appetizer and they were crisp and flavorful. My entree was Pad Thai Country which was a generous serving of chicken with lemongrass and peanut sauce over the noodles. The cook himself came to our table to make sure that he had my date's order correct since she didn't want rice and had requested that her curry dish be more like a soup. The result was amazing and she was similarly pleased. We both would like to come back again the next time that we visit Astoria. As a fun aside, the decor and music inside were all Cuban, as were the tattoos on the arms of the cook. Yet, the food was some of the best Thai I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Highly recommend Curry & CoCo Thai Eatery!“

“My wife and I were visiting Astoria for the first time - kind of celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. After going to the Bridgewater Bistro and discovering it was closed to the public for a private party, our second choice was T. Paul’s Supper Club - which was right across the street from our hotel. We split the nightly special which was a 6 oz. sirloin steak that came with 4 jumbo prawns cooked any one of 4 ways (we chose the coconut shrimp version), mashed potatoes and broccolini with carrots for the vegetable. And we also added a house salad which ended up being fantastic in it’s own right. The steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables were also fantastic and the shrimp came with an orange marmalade / thai chili sauce (or something) and that was truly out of this world. Then there was the dessert - we split the Chocolate Ganache Cake - a chocolate lava cake with pecans and caramel inside and whipped cream on top with french vanilla ice cream on the side - all drizzled lightly with chocolate and caramel sauce. Hands down the best dessert my wife and I have ever had.The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the service was excellent to boot. What more could you ask for? Nada! 5 stars does not even do justice to the excellence of this restaurant.“

“We've only done takeout and just discovered them a few months ago. We really like their lunch specials and the create-your-own combo.I've never cared for eggfoo young and love theirs! Everything has been yummy and fresh. We haven't tried anything that we didn't love and have been there several times since discovering them.We live out of town or we would probably go more. While waiting on our last to go order all the food leaving the kitchen looked great. The decor is dated but the food isn't for American Chinese.Kid-friendliness: Standard from what I could see.“
