“I took a chance and got the Cool Kid bowl with grilled chicken added on even though it was $20 (im a student, so this is a splurge). And you know what... it did not disappoint. Oh man, it's fresh, flavorful, decadent. I don't even usually like lentils but I am chowing on this bowl. The hummus is almost fluffy and mixing it in with everything else just tastes perfect. The grilled chicken is tender and lean, better than Sweetgreen. The carrots and beets are well cooked. Perfectly balanced bowl with filling portions. Came out quickly and hot. Allia and Gillian (sorry.. spelling!) are so sweet.“

He gave us several recommendations (we ordered them all) and every dish was great. We got the branzino, the lamb chops, the half grilled chicken, hummusand mishwia. While every dish was truly tasty, my two favorites were the branzino and mishwia. I told Ahmed it was my parents anniversary and he gave us tea and baklava on the house. “The lamb shoulder is so wonderful and tender and just the right amount of juicy-ness. The bean (soup?) dish reminded me of mom's amazing bean stew, which was just awesome. The bread, hummus and mezze were out of this world; I haven't tasted hummus that good - ever. And I was so impressed to see Chef Solomonov making my bread and standing in front of the oven just doing someone's job who had to take a break. And he owns a bunch of other restaurants! Keep it up, Chef.Okay, so I would have given 5 stars for service as the host stand did great, adjusting to my change in number of diners on the reservation and for putting me at the chef's counter, and for the server doing great, but I sat without water or anything else to drink for about 15 minutes. Not horrible, but I thought I'd mention it.I only gave 4 stars for the atmosphere because I'm not a big fan of the interior design. Please don't take this as a gripe, just a comment from a guy who does renovations and wasn't blown away. You need to go to this restaurant now! Have the drink pairing, too. The red and white were perfect with the food and the "sherry" from Australia was so good I'm looking for it now so I can take a case home.“

Would highly recommend! Chicken Adana wrap - could have used more meat in it and the fries were lacking salt but that's easily fixable! Sütlaç -the oven baked pudding was good The table cloth on the tables kept moving which was a bit frustrating, not sure what other restaurants do to hold it down. Please keep in mind that I don’t even like meat and I’ve been struggling with anorexia for decades. So it’s very difficult for me to eat anything unless it’s super fresh and extraordinarily tasty. To my surprise, I loved the grilled pork, Greek veggies and Rice was so good....They had this white creamy sauce called Tyzekih sauce it was......interesting, good but tasty as well. The one draw back was the waiter...he was old, tired and could not get the order correct. Maybe he should be on the register instead of on his feet taking orders, not so successfully. “High quality Lebanese style Mediterranean food at an amazing price. We opted for the Mediterranean platter-a sampler of creamy, lemony hummus, smoky baba ganoush, an eggplant salad and some pickled items. Nothing totally remarkable, but reliably deliciously flavored and good portions. One of us got the beef shawarma sandwich and reported it to the best one ever tasted, especially the Lebanese style with pickles and French fries added in! The service on an early Saturday night was a little slow, but the food was hot when it came and worth the wait. Top it off with the baklava, it’s worth the calories, with just the right amount of honey that squishes out of the pastry when you bite down.Vegetarian options: Fava bean appetizer, along with many other veg options, felafel, veg platterDietary restrictions: They were great about nut allergies and there were plenty of options for veg.“

“This is our second time grabbing take-out from here, and it most definitely NOT be our last.First, the food:My son and I both got the lamb gyro. The lamb was some of the most tender and flavorful I have ever had (and I sous vide my lamb). Just fantastic. We also got the mini sampler. The hummus was a bit lacking in flavor, but was still good and well made. The falafel were perfectly cooked (so rare in my experience!) crispy and delectable. The dolmas are a hair too tender (I like more of a firm leaf) but the flavor more than made up for it.The Baba Ghanouj was a show stealer of the sampler. The signature char flavor was outstanding. More than good enough to eat by itself. My favorite of the night was the lentil soup. The aroma alone was mouth watering. Overall it has a wonderful depth of flavor. The time and love that went into making it was very evident.Lastly I want to make sure to mention the owners…they are so friendly! Both times now I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality on the phone and in person. These two are doing things the right way.I would absolutely recommend you give this place a try if you have not. Such wonderful food being made by just as wonderful people!“

“This was such a nice surprise! The place looks like any old building in a residential neighborhood. It is a tiny place to order Armenian soujuk (sausages), and lahmajun (seasoned meat toppings on flat bread). Soujuk is salty, because you have to pan fry them and either mix with tomatoes or eat with eggs and bread. Lahmajun comes in a pack of ten, and it is truly a bang for your money! If you go to any Middle Eastern markets and buy frozen lahmajun you will easily pay a lot more and have them not taste that good. This place is family owned so the service is friendly“

“Amazing food and polite staff, and a really lively atmosphere. I had a great hangover chicken and waffles (which was personally enjoyably much sweeter than usual at other restaurants, but you do get self serve syrup). However, I think choosing this dish over others here would be doing the restaurant a disservice. It was obvious that with only like three sweet dishes, you should just get their actual food.I’ll be back if I’m in town.“

“Irwin’s is an Italian restaurant located inside Bok Building, which was an old school revitalized as an artsy complex space. From the school desks to the chairs, the vintage furnishings of Irwin’s give a nostalgic vibe.*Shallot and Thyme Focaccia **They change the housemade foccacia flavor regularly. Glad that we got to try the shallot and thyme one. The bread dough was pillowy with a shiny brown surface, while not feeling oily at all. The sweetness from the caramelized shallot and the herby fragrance from thyme made a harmonious flavor duet.*1/2 Agrodolce Chicken**SERIOUSLY how could they make the chicken (even the chicken breast!) so tender and juicy? Also can we talk about the gremolata? It was fantastic as a dish itself, and add extra textures and tangy flavors if you spread it over the meat.*Trofie (half)We know their carbs wouldn’t be as amazing as their proteins but we still wanted to try. The pasta was cooked to al dente. The mushroom truffle flavor was exactly what you could easily imagine. Nothing mindblowing here.*Milk & Honey GelatoWe picked this right away because I saw it had “pistachio”. The honey was very sweet, but premium in flavor. My cravings was fully satisfied as they didn’t skimp on the crushed pistachios on top. Lowkey wished that the gelato melted a bit slower.“

“wow, I just discovered this hidden gem right off temple campus and with one visit it’s already my favorite restaurant in Philly, the food was so amazingly flavorful and I love the vegetarian options. The service was phenomenal, I felt like I was at a 5 star restaurant. The boy with the Afro was extremely nice and made sure I knew of ALL of my options and even helped me get $2 off my order since it was my first time. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to grab a bite to eat and do some work or have a nice catch up with friends. The environment and food are top tier.“

“TL:DR - Delicious food, awesome folks, family business!Had been meaning to try this place out stopping in briefly last month to check out the menu, but not ordering anything. Sure glad I came back! The food is delicious, and prepared with love by Ali and his family. The menu has a wide variety of Mediterranean food, so you can get everything you'd like! They also do custom requests (and catering!) if you'd like something specially prepared for you.First and foremost, the "famous" pumpkin bread pudding was absolutely amazing. Fortunately they serve it all year round! It was great cold, warmed up, and from the fridge the next day. The savory pumpkin and just-right-amount of spices pair perfectly with the rich, sweet bread pudding. Do not miss out on this one! And eat dessert first! At my sis' recommendation, I tried the stuffed grape leaf wrap - and it was delicious. It had all the things a tiny stuffed grape leaf would have in it, with extra tasty ingredients, in the convenience and size of a full wrap! There is a reason that we ordered three of them, and they were gone in a blink! The moussaka was a little light on the bechamel layer, but otherwise wonderful. The ground meat, sauce, and cheese were great with the layers of eggplant. Slightly different than the traditional Greek style I'm used to, but definitely tasty. The cold eggplant and tomato salad is a terrific side for any food from Caspian Grille. It's perfectly pickled, freshly made, and you can get as large a size to fit your hunger. An interesting new taste that I will get again next time. All in all, go here, and try out these delicious foods!Parking: Free strip-mall parking lot. Be sure to go in the correct entrance, or you will have to take a side street to get in.“

“First thing I noticed was how friendly they were with the woman ordering in front of me. These are nice people. While I was there, I noticed even though the kitchen was busy, it was clean. Big points for that. Then there's the food... we ordered three separate things and everything was very good. The smell of the sauce on the pizza was heavenly. I know a good "gravy". Hard working people who make good food and they make you feel like you stopped by someone's house, that kind of welcome. I will definitely be back!
