“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!“
“Today was my second visit here, after having finally stopped in a couple weeks ago. This place is nothing short of AWESOME! It's bright and happy, with wonderful colors and totally unique tabletops--created by the owners! They have done most everything themselves, a true accomplishment and a reason to be proud! The employees are unfailingly friendly and helpful! The owners have hired handicapped individuals, and today I was fortunate to see the owner teaching one such an employee a new skill, and she was so patient and very encouraging, helping this young woman to catch on quickly and feel good about herself. You don't see an employer working to build up employees that way very often. They have an amazing assortment of handmade ice cream, some flavors you'd expect and some you wouldn't. Truth be told, I've yet to try the ice cream, as both times I've been here, it's been morning and I was on a quest for coffee, but I sure do plan to get around to it! Now, the pastries. Ah, the PASTRIES! Beautiful huge cookies with a great variety, to start. And muffins and danish, and turnovers, oh my! On my first visit, I had a wonderful cherry danish, and this time I opted for a cranberry chocolate chip muffin that turned out to be nothing short of fabulous!! SO fabulous, in fact, that I got half a dozen to go, to share with friends this afternoon. (Although, truth be told, I'm making a good argument to myself to keep them all...!) I got a plain old coffee, although they also do a bunch of other coffee house-type specialty beverages for those who prefer those. The coffee was great, not horribly strong but with plenty of body and flavor. The coffee and muffin made my day. And today, I learned from talking to the owner that they have live bluegrass music on Fridays around 6pm. AND I found out that they also do pies, so, YAY! They're also incredibly accommodating, as she told me that with a few hours notice, they'll create pretty much any custom item you want! Doesn't get any better than that, right? Okay, those of you out there who have read my reviews before know that I can write good reviews for good places. This time, though, I'm going to add this: Cookie Cookie absolutely DESERVES your business! This is a business that gives back in a number of ways, and they deserve your support. Even if you live a bit out of the way, do make a point of coming here. I promise you'll enjoy whatever you get, and you'll be helping these folks to help others.“
“This place never disappoints. I come here every time I come to Pittsburgh. This is a high quality ice cream shop with something for everyone! The line was long both times I came here, but that is a good indication of why this is a Pittsburgh staple! I want to come here and try other menu options but it's hard when I like what I've had already and would eat that again! The building and location is fun to venture too, as well! “That is the best ice cream I have ever had in town! Antney's Ice Cream is undescribable!!!! They are killing it with flavor, friendly staff and their changing menu. My personal fav is Cookie Monster and Red Velvet. However whatever I tried in there did not dissappoint once! Everthing is so delicious and freshly made!! I can give them 10k stars if I could! “My baby shower was held at The Steeping Leaf. We visited twice before: once for an afternoon tea and once for lunch. Both times beforehand we were met by the owner to discuss the shower. The tea menu is extensive and each time we had excellent tea. All of the food is delicious! For the shower, once we had discussed what we were looking for (Mad Hatter Tea Party), the owner took it from there. We arrived for the baby shower and everything was decorated and set up. It looked incredible! The space is so inviting, the decorations were amazing, food was delicious, and the tea was great as well. I would recommend the Steeping Leaf for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and special events. We will certainly be back!“

“extremely quick place for frozen yogurt. little human interaction as the yogurt and toppings are all self serve. only thing you need to interact with somebody for is to weigh your yogurt and pay but the whole process takes less than 10 maybe even 5 minutes if you know what you want.“
“Custards is my choice for local ice cream stand. They may not have the selection of other competitors but their prices are better and they are friendlier than most. The only drawback is that they are not open year round, but that makes sense given their business, and I can't fault them for that as I'm the odd one who wants ice cream on January 1st...:)“
“I'm a big fan of scoops! The location is perfect for grabbing a treat after dinner in the area or on a walk. They're open all year and open late which is super convenient. I love that they carry my childhood favorites (Superman, White House cherry, grasshopper pie) and the price is super reasonable. They have a little sitting area inside with some retail space selling pop, ice cream cakes, and candy. There are SO many options it always takes me forever to choose, but I usually pick two. This isn't the place to go if you're looking for super high quality locally churned ice cream or anything but is great if you're looking for a classic scoop of something sugary and fun or are going with a group who has varying tastes. There are tons of flavors kids and grownups alike will love (shout out blue moon!!!!) They have some frozen yogurt options, dairy free options, and things like milkshakes if a cone or cup isn't your thing. A go-to when I'm hanging out in Bloomfield and want a treat.“
“I ordered a chocolate chip cookie because I feel like you can judge a place by something classic like chocolate chip. The cookie was excellent and had a ton of chocolate chips throughout and on top. The cannoli cookie was great and came chilled. It had a cream filling that was sweet but not too sugary. The cookies were good but they are pricey. We spent $10 on two cookies. It's definitely a place to get a special treat but not an every day thing. They also had self service kiosks which I love!“
“This is one of my favorite businesses in Sharpsburg. They're so creative and artsy, and the place is a joy to visit. The ice cream is delicious and always generously filled with candies and confections. I love their Instagram account photos too; I can't possibly try all the flavors, so it is nice to be able to see all the new flavor names and creations.“
“I'd give this place 10 stars! Tried 3 milkshakes and hubby tried 2 over 3 days in Pittsburgh. Every shake was great. Thick, flavorful and perfect toppings. Root beer float was basic but still the rich vanilla elevated it. Chocolate strawberry shake was the best. I'd be here 2x a week getting shakes. The Chocolate was also delicious. Almond bar was better than coconut but I prefer almond. Staff moved quick and I don't do social media, but they do make the shakes picture worthy.“

“Will absolutely make multiple return visits! This place is such a hidden gem, and much more spacious inside than it appears from the street. Great coffee and food, and MUCH more affordable than expected. I parked in one of the dedicated for spots for free, then got a 12oz drip coffee with a delicious breakfast sandwich, all for less than $6. Can't wait to try out more on their menu! To top it off, the WiFi is strong for working or studying, and there are clean restrooms on-site. Happy I discovered this place!Parking: A few free spots are located next to the shop. Street parking is free in the permit parking zones according to the hours on the signs. Otherwise, paid parking can be found in the area.“
“I came here without knowing much about it other than it has ice cream. I discovered it's more interesting than I expected. You create your own ice cream flavor and add toppings and other additions. I got a regular size custard in a waffle bowl. I combined marshmallow, white chocolate, and caramel flavors and added Oreo and cookie dough pieces. It was yummy and I was super surprised by how big the regular ice cream was. Would go back again.“
“This ice cream shop is cash only .I've been going to that ice cream store since I was a child my dentist was down the street but after I seen the dentist my father would take me up there to get some ice cream to cheer me up they got some great fantastic food as well a milkshakes and they're not like McDonald's and you don't have to worry about the milkshake machine where there's going to be working or not laughing out loud I personally would tell you to go check it out if you're in that area I don't think you'll be a disappointed if you like ice cream and they have many other things to choose from. They're chili dogs are awesome as well they're very close to Page's ice cream store on East Carson Street Becks Run Road stop by today and try a treat for yourself or treat the whole family to a night out with ice cream I don't think you'll be a disappointed one last thing I like to point out this ice cream shop is strictly cash only if they are very busy bring a little bit of patience with you they'll do their best to serve you they are very nice people the staff is always there they want to make sure you're happy when you walk away from that window they can't help the prices went up on things everything is going up. And I do believe most things are price and reasonable but when you want good quality like you said you'll pay for what you want If you want cheap ice cream then go to your local grocery store you want good ice cream then you're going to pay for it. “Very wide variety of flavors to choose from. My favorite is lil blue panda and is what I get every time. Family members think the award winning chocolate is not remarkable at all, though. Flavored cones are a nice addition. Prices are comparable to other shops. The place is always very clean and there is seating available. My only complaint has consistently been staff. The kids working are not friendly, at times horsing around, confused on which customers need waited on.“

“This is by far my favorite ice creamery around. They are a tad more expensive but so so so worth it. Even when uber delivered for them they pack the ice cream with such care making sure in case the driver has other stops your ice cream does not melt they put ice bags with it. They've never got a single order wrong, I've tried almost all the ice creams and all are really good I see the quality. So even if a bit higher in price you won't lose my business“

“Started my Pittsburgh foodie adventures in this adorable little sit-down pizza restaurant in Shadyside! We tried the Pizza Del Re (white pizza) and Pizza Della Casa (red pizza), and both lived up to the hype! Pizza Del Re: - White pizza with mozzarella, truffle spread, & prosciutto (it comes with mushrooms too, but we got it without because my boyfriend doesn't like mushrooms) - A super rich truffle taste that was so yummy - Loved the thin crust, but there were parts that tasted a little too burnt Pizza Della Casa: - Red tomato sauce pizza with mozzarella, grape tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto, & parmigiano - I love the combination of prosciutto & arugula and it was a plus that the arugula tasted so fresh & wasn't bitter - I personally prefer red sauce over white sauce, so I liked this pizza a little bit more To top off your meal here, make sure to get their gelato for dessert! I got a small size with 2 flavors -- tiramisu and hazelnut. Both flavors were super rich and yummy and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.“

“My sister and I visited this location last week and were impressed with store cleanliness, food quality & the staff working. We mistakenly thought the store was open an hour later than it was - as we thought we were entering the store a hour and 15 minutes prior to close, we were actually entering 15 minutes before the store closed. After reading the hours on the door and seeing the team cleaning up after a long day, we asked if it was okay that we got 3 items Togo. Olivia, Ben & Vic were extremely welcoming to us and accommodating regardless of having everything clean and ready to close. We appreciated their excellent customer service and the quality of food as well. Strongly recommend this location and their team!“

“Fall is in season at Bruster's! We had some of their fall flavors, Pumpkin Patch - which was pumpkin ice cream ( super creamy) with bits of soft Graham cracker & our other was deep apple pie! “The ice cream quality and taste was very good. Location although on a busy road is a bit under the radar. Location is an order at the window style place. In a small plaza with other stores but no other major corporate draws I remember seeing. Bruster's is probably the best known business name in this shopping plaza area .They do a decent business from what I can tell. I'm sure there are busier times to stop but I haven't seen it super busy, at least the few times I've been here. I stopped here the last time with my mother who wanted a hot fudge sundae. I ordered a small waffle cone with 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream. The quantity was very good! Was a pretty large amount of ice cream for a small. I was glad I ordered this size. Mom's sundae was huge I thought! All in all a nice ice cream experience. ??“

Lots of classics as well as unique ones. Really something for everyone here. Loved the aesthetic- it’s a beautiful building. They are open late so we stopped in for a late night treat. Staff was great. Loved the peanut butter vegan milkshake! It was thick, creamy & full of flavor! Loved that they even labeled it as dairy free so you know you got the right one.“
“First trip to the Carnegie location of scoops! Great spot on Main Street and I love the inside! Some seating but not much. We got a single scoop- it's a huge serving of ice cream IMO. I got the moosetracks and my fiancé got the cannoli. Both were tasty but the waffle cones/bowl really were great.We went on a cold night so we thought it would be all but there was quite a line. There was one young girl working and you could tell she was overwhelmed. One guy in front of us was being a total jagoff but she handled him and the line like a pro!! We'll be back :)“
“Scoops is a five minute walk so I find myself there every once in a while. I usually get a milkshake, tip is to ask for extra thick, if I don't do this it turns out being almost a milk consistency. Workers are always really nice and let you try any flavor you want.“

“I've visited Jeni's twice in the past week because I just can't get over how good it is. My current favorite flavor is the Brown Butter Almond Brittle. It's seriously amazing. I also love the Salted Peanut Butter with chocolate flakes and Darkest Chocolate. The service is always super friendly and despite being busy most of the time, quick but not rushed. “Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t crazy incredible either… I think the flavors are unique, but there wasn’t a single cookies and cream flavor which I feel like is a staple to most ice cream shops, I did settle on a milky chocolate flavor, the others were either to sweet or just meh. The waffles were also way too sweet. The staff was very nice and everything looked super clean not to mention the location is INCREDIBLE! Must visit if you wanna get some cute pictures next to the wall of plants.“
