“We informed our server we had movie tickets at a nearby theater and wanted to place our entire order at once. He obliged and we made our movie. We had eaten at this restaurant many times in the past though not recently. We were not disappointed“
“Great bar and grill with fast service and generous portions. Grog caesar salad was wonderful.Parking: Lot and street parking free after 6pm. Circle around restaurant for either lot or side street metered parking. Be sure not to park in permit only spots.“
“Awesome experience. Very clean, open and overall fantastic. The dogs had plenty of room to roam and were pleasant. Both the waitstaff and management were fantastic and the food is amazing. Best brussels sprouts I have ever had, and that should tell you about the rest of the menu. Highly recommend!“
“We reserved 333 Belrose for a funeral luncheon for 30 people. From the first contact, Steve was extremely accommodating. The food was excellent, prepared to order & the service was impeccable. We could not have asked for anything more. We can't wait to go back!“
“We had a good time here. Food was awesome. Our server was excellent. The only issue I had was the tipping situation. I was with a party of 6. We normally tip good. But this place takes out 20%. . I don't like a place telling me what to tip. That's not how that works. 80 dollars in a tip. Tipping how much is up to the customers.“
“Great food complemented by even better service! Our server, Erinn, went above and beyond to give us a pleasurable experience. My son has several food allergies and Erinn went out of her way to ensure all of our meals were handled with attention and care. She provided service that is difficult to find elsewhere- we will be returning for her!“
“As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find meat-free brunch options that can compare to traditional items. Sidecar Bar is the best brunch i’ve had in Philly! I got the Hippy Benny and it was PHENOMENAL!!! The ingredients were fresh and the potatoes were incredible. I went with a large group and some other favorites were the pancakes, the breakfast flatbread, and the Texan Benny. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat while still remaining casual and family friendly. Our server was friendly and attentive and it was all around a great experience! Definitely make Sidecar Bar your next Philly food destination!“
“Pat, the man!! First time there tonight and came due to closeness of location and reviews… but blackened chicken salad and wings to go were both A+Pat’s presence and convos were representation of what a local bar should be! When you walk into a bar and don’t feel awkward to hang by yourself and enjoy a moment… this is the place to be. I will be back soon, thanks for a great time!“
“Great place with amazing cocktails. They have great Indian chai flavors martinis. A bit on sweeter side but must try. The bartenders very friendly and had a good time. Modern simple sleek interior! I think this is my new fav cocktail bar. A great addition to city specially to the area!“
“service was impeccable! everyone seemed to be on a conveyor belt with how smoothly things came out to us. went about 430-5 for dinner. a few people in the bar, not too crowded. our waitress was so nice! I order dry wings which were crispy but juicy. & I ordered the chicken joseph. i ordered it for my dad who's name was Joe & Stingers was one of his favorite restaurants... the dish was plated & executed perfectly - just wasn't to my taste, sauce/gravy for chicken was a little too sweet. my mother ordered the same dish & loved it! so it's just my taste. looking forward to going back & trying new items! 10/10 recommend!“
“I had the scallops which were perfect with potatoes and green beans which were delicious but my potatoes were not warm. Had a side Caesar which looked like a large Caesar dressing and lettuce were fresh and cold. I haven’t had dinner in there in a long time but I remembered it was always good used to go for all u can eat spaghetti and clams or mussels a must try hidden gem to enjoy a nice dinner“

“The staff was absolutely amazing, Annie was super friendly and kind. Our first time visiting Philadelphia and she recommended several places to check out in brewery town. This place has a great selection of beer and lavish cocktails. The food was amazing, I really loved the pork burnt ends. The pho was delicious, fish and chips were nicely battered and tasty. I will be back and I recommend you give them a try!“
“I visited on a thursday with my buddy who goes often. Being a workday night it seemed pretty active yet still a relaxed environment. Bartenders were very friendly and attentive, additionally the wings were great. Will definitely return.Parking: It is south philly so obviously parking is a bit challenging, but I was able to find plenty of spots about a block and half or so away.“
“We stopped by after the Philly Love Run for a much needed brunch. It wasn’t full and we had a nice table upstairs by the window. The bartender is awesome! He made a perfect spicy Bloody Mary and was funny and helpful. Thanks for making out lunch great!!The menu online isn’t exactly what they have (at least for brunch) but what we had hit the spot. The biscuits and gravy is a huge portion. Served with eggs and delicious crispy potatoes. My friend got the burrito sans tortilla. Also great. So glad we tried this place. Would definitely go back!“
“Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here a couple years back, and recently returned for an anniversary dinner. Everything was as great as our first time, if not even better. The food is delicious, specifically the filet, asiago chicken, and meatloaf, I'm drooling just thinking about them! All 20+ people we initially brought raved about it and the service was tremendous. Not going to get a better meal for your money in the area. Can't wait to go back!“
“Despite being a little run-down, the Mermaid is understandably well-loved for its historic building retaining much of its architectural detail & charm. The colonial era inn claims the finely-detailed rich brown wood bar is original. We visited for the first time to see the final performance of the fantastic groove-band the Sacred Cowboys. Great band & fans! Large, supportive crowd! We didn't eat, but the bar staff was efficient & friendly.“
“I came in on Saint Patrick’s day with my family. We had an extraordinary time there. The portions were very large which is great for hefty eaters or people who simply want to save their food. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the kids Mac and cheese with applesauce (don’t judge) and it was delightful. The applesauce was slightly crunchy, and had cinnamon sprinkled overtop. The Mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy, I could hardly finish it all. I also had a Shirley temple with it, which tasted amazing. It tasted a bit like strawberry syrup mixed with lemonade and sprite. The service was excellent. The waiters and waitresses were so polite, and since I went there on Saint Patrick’s day, the entire staff was dressed in leprechaun outfits. They were very friendly. The atmosphere was very light and positive, with an older style feel. I 100% recommend going here.Vegetarian options: I personally don’t recommend for vegetarians to go here, as most of Phil’s is centered off of meat, but they do have plenty of other options that don’t involve meat.Dietary restrictions: The staff was very accommodating and would definitely be willing to accommodate to dietary restrictions.Parking: The amount of parking space was surprising, since we went in on a crowded day. Yet we were able to park our car comfortably outside with not too much of a walking distance.Kid-friendliness: They were so polite to us kids, we got crayons and they did not judge the awful drawings we made.Wheelchair accessibility: They had no steps there, and the distance between the parking and the building is a very small and flat area of land.“
“Always best service forgot the name of our bartender who's always there working all day and night ! She's always there pleasant and professional. Hope they compensate her well.Bar gets fairly crowded especially with men. My coworker and I who have frequented enough usually sit towards the entrance at the bar, seats usually taken.Food served hot and fresh, especially like the appetizers; wings, flatbread, fries....and beers always good. Chicken tender best I ever had, crispy outside and tender inside perfectly cooked! Will probably go there again next week ? or next month.“
“The bartenders Karla & Stephani at Screwballs Bar and Grill went above and beyond with their prompt courtesy service and attention to detail. I never waited for anything during my visit. Karla & Stephanie are RockStar bartenders. Come experience Screwballs Bar and Grill for yourself.Mark Oscar“
“Pappou's for the win. Everyone in there is so nice, they have a great bar with the best beers and make tremendous pizza. Well located too. Nothing but positive feedback for Team Pappou, keep up the stellar efforts. Also love the logo of the turtle, you guys are the best. Let me know when you get t-shirts back in stock!“
“This is by far the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. Came here with my wife and father-in-law. Amazing service and crazy good food. Parking is a little tough to get to and the drink menu could use a few sours but overall it’s a 10/10 would visit again place. The owner and the waitress made us feel super welcome and were open to suggestions which is always nice.“
“I always enjoy the southwest salad and addressing. Really don't know much about the mixed drinks. But they do look good. I'm going to go back and try something different. I'm sure it'll be good. It's a well run restaurant now that it has a newer owner from years ago.Parking: Watch the meters because havertown loves to give a ticket. But in general, it's cheap. It's only a Dollar or so to eat dinner, relax for parking. If you go after the meter time which is dinner late, there was an problem but check.“
“Barmaids are always welcoming to you as you're coming in. Good service, good food. Nice size shots for your money. For more fun there's also a pool table in the back. So leave your negativity outside and unwind inside with new and old friends/family bar. Wheelchair accessible too.“
“Neighborhood joint. Good food and drinks are nicely priced. Good for "gals/guys/friends" nite.Parking: The street has metered parking. The side streets are free, however they are residential, so there are few spots.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps and they have a table near the door that is lower than the bar.“
“Helped so much for the luncheon I had for after my twin sisters funeral.Diane is a great bar tender and person all the way around.THANK YOU SO MUCH DIANE FOR ALL YOU DID FOR ME AND BILLY AND MY SISTER. LOTS OF LOVE FOR HER. THANK YOU AGAIN SWEETIE DOR ALL YOU DID!!!!✌️✌️✌️✌️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️“
“Been here 3 times. First time I had Cheeseburger and fries ( Banging). Told a friend of mine, Hokey. He went 1st Friday in March. He said I was right.Second time I went I brought a young friend of mine studying for the Priesthood. I bought him a Burger and Fries of course I had a Cheeseburger. 3rd time was Wednesday, the usual. Got to watch some basketball talked to guys I never met about Sports, Music and Movies. I struck Gold. It’s around the corner from me. Told people in my building they’re coming often. If you’re in South Philly and going to a game stop in. Why pay those highway robbery prices at the Stadium and Ballfields for tasteless food. Or just go for no reason.Kevin GaGa won’t steer you wrong“
“I love , love, love this place. I found it accidentally while driving towards Market Street. We saw a grill and the sweet smell of barbecue. We immediately stopped and ordered ribs, hotdogs, hot sausages, potato salad, green beans, and Mac cheese . Everything was delicious!! Shout out to my girl Shay . Thank you so much for good food and your hospitality.?“
“The bartender was really nice, we ordered the pretzel with the cheese sauce ( I think the sauce could be better but it worked out), a cheese pizza, the chicken Philly cheese steak and the spicy chicken sandwich. everything was good and to our liking. We enjoyed the environment, the food and the people taking care of us. I will definitely be back during our next visit to Philadelphia.“
