“I usually order via GrubHub and the food is usually good but I've had a few misses. But my main issue is the delivery driver never ever respects contact-free preferences and just leaves the order outside as requested and printed on the ticket. It never happens and it's very frustrating.“

“I stumbled upon this great spot that serves an amazing Chilli Paneer Pizza – it's really something with its spicy kick and cheesy goodness. And the Achari Chicken Wings? “We just had the best meal here! My partner and I had planned on going elsewhere but we got there after 8pm and didn't have a reservation, so the wait was going to be an hour. We walked over to Wm. Mulherin's Sons and they got us a table in about 15 minutes. We proceeded to have one of the best meals I've had in a while! Starters: the octopus was crispy but succulent and the focaccia was pillowy perfection! Cocktails were excellent. The sausage pizza had a wonderful mix of flavors and the crust!! ? I could have eaten the pizza crust on its own, honestly. Thick and chewy on the edges and perfectly done throughout. We also shared a seasonal pasta with ramps, morels, peas, and asparagus, and got the chocolate mousse cake and gelato for dessert, which were heavenly. “This is a fabulous local restaurant and if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there at least twice a month. I was hosting some out-of-town visitors and we enjoyed between the three of us, two plates of pasta and a caprese salad and it was more than enough food and we also enjoyed our red and white BYOB wines. “Our first visit to La Ingrata and we had a wonderful experience. Co-owner Karla talked us through the menu and provided great service and conversation throughout the meal. I opted for a special of the day - pork pieces with skin still attached cooked in an amazing salsa verde, served with warm house-made tortillas, rice, and beans. So delicious eaten taco-style with a just-right hot sauce. My wife had a shrimp dish in mildly spicy tomato sauce and side salad, also delicious. We started with the house-made guacamole which was outstanding, along with fresh in-house tortilla chips. BYOB meant we enjoyed the meal with our own beers. Outstanding food, friendly service, a chance to taste some new dishes and a Mexico City-style of cooking, and affordable prices - we'll definitely be back!“

“The best pizza within 35 minutes of my residence! Great sauce, wonderful cheese, tasty crust. My only complaint is the thickness of the crust, it's too doughy/thick especially at the ends. Next time I order, I'm going to see if they can use medium size dough and stretch to a large pie.“

Let's start with the great service from their wait staff. Izzy, Gabriel, and Sarah were my main wait staff, BUT all the wait staff help each other. So if Izzy, Gabriel, or Sarah are busy taking care of other customers, their co-workers just jump right in and take care of your questions and/or needs quickly. And the FOOD IS SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! ? ? I LOVE LOVE LOVE their freshly made Garlic Knots that you get when you sit down. I also love their Mussels in white wine and garlic and their Meat Lasagna, Chicken Piccatta with capers, mushrooms in a very Yummy White Wine Lemon Sauce; and the portion size is definitely worth every penny - it's Huge - you will leave with a meal's worth for the next day (see picture). And I love their Tiramisu for dessert, too. They have a Great Menu with Many, Many More Choices of different Yummy foods, on top of their Pasta dishes such as the Pizzas, Stromboli and Cheese Steaks, etc. Plus, the restaurant is kept very Clean, it's very family friendly and it's just cozy. FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. “Our server Ella was great, she took initiative to bring champagne glasses with her when greeting our table and followed with an ice bucket for our bottle with out being asked. She was knowledgeable about the menu and followed up frequently throughout our meal. The courses arrived quickly for service at 7pm on a Friday night. The food good. Suggestions would be for crostini or crackers with the antipasta and tuna tartar.“

“Food is really good I got the fettuccine Alfredo, I got a small pizza half pep that they forgot to deliver with door dash. And a cake … my dasher went out of his way to go all the way back to the store which he didn’t have to do. But a hour later we received the pizza cold as ever but it was still good. “I ordered a plain cheese pizza for take out on a Sunday afternoon. I had to wait 25 minutes but it was worth it. Like most places in the city, parking options are very limited. When I walked in to their shop I saw several happy customers eating away, enjoying their food. The place seats about 20 people. Nice low key , no frills, South Philly Italian pizza parlor vibe with very good food. It beats standing in line at Angelo’s.“

“Had a great experience at Viva at 2nd and Chestnut. We ordered a pizza to go and the husband and wife owners couldn’t have been nicer. When I got there to pick it up, he told me he made a second pizza because he thought the first one wasn’t round enough! So, he gave me both pizzas for the price of one! Such warm and friendly service. And, the pizza was amazing! As a native New Yorker, I’m very particular about pizza. This was the best I’ve had in Philadelphia. Perfect crust—thin, crisp and foldable—and perfectly made to order. What an unexpectedly positive experience. We will certainly go back!“

“Fantastic beers! Keen (a dark mild) and Gully (IPA) are personal favorites but they have sooo many different varieties from sours to porters. Also love the wine, particularly the Pinot Gris, and my sister enjoyed the Riesling. The pizza is delicious, love the mushroom pizza and they usually have some kind of yummy special. The buffalo wings have a great heat and are juicy with plenty of meat—I don’t even like wings but these are ones I crave. Lots of veggie options, too—salads, yummy fried artichoke app, and pizzas. The ambiance is clean, colorful, and warm, and the service is always great. And they have soft serve with chocolate syrup!!“

“This place has the best vegan food that doesn't taste like traditional “vegan food”. It also has non-vegan options, so it is great for bringing non-vegan friends/family. They also have a wide variety of alcohol in case you enjoy that stuff. They also have a huge selection of pizzas, even including vegan ones!
