But even on a Saturday evening in Southside, we easily got a table at 8:30pm. I got The Architect which was spicy and refreshing. The service is amazing and they will make any drink off the menu as well. I asked for a Mai Tai and got the best one I've ever had. Definitely recommend this bar to go to with friends. “Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

“We often order delivery from here and are always impressed with the quality of the food, the quantity, and the speed of delivery. Tonight it was chicken parmigiana with angel hair and a side salad with fried zucchini as an appetizer for me, while my dad did the build-your-own-pasta with gnocchi and carbanara (bacon, mushroom cream) sauce and caesar salad. They said it would be an hour and it was only 30 minutes. I don't know how the fried zucchini travels and still arrives crispy, but they do it, and it's awesome, large slices, very generous, like a whole zucchini, with crisp, though not too thick, breading. It does not include a dip, only lemon wedges, but I have ranch dressing here. The chicken parmigiana was two large breasts, breaded, moist, and smothered in sauce and cheese. The side salads are generous with a thick slice of cucumber, grape tomato, red onion, and lettuce (the caesar - not real authentic but good - with croutons, black olives, grape tomatoes, lettuce, and parm cheese). We are never disappointed and always have leftovers. The one time something was wrong with our order, they promptly came back with what was missing and gave us a credit. Try the focaccia pizzas for a week's worth of great food! Highly recommended!!!“

“Was very disappointed in the meat lover's Flatbread. It tasted like tomato paste for the sauce and the meat has no flavor. It was plain. I suggest to anyone don't get it. My fiancée had thier Italian hoagie which he felt bad and gave me half of his sandwich to eat. The bartender did ask if I liked it. I did let him know about the pizza not being too good. He just looked and didn't say anything and walked away. I'll still come here. But that flat bread has to go. I don't even see how that one is on the menu! Everything else so far I tasted from there is good.“

“I am so glad I found this place! It’s a neat little bar with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and great music. As soon as I walked in, the owner greeted me and took the time to help me pick out a cigar. He made suggestions for me based on what I normally smoke and the cigar I chose was excellent. Most folks in there seemed to be regulars and we all had great conversation. In my experience, some cigar bars can be a bit pretentious or intimidating but this place is quite the opposite - it’s got a Cheers bar feel and everyone is down to earth. It’s not very often you sit down and chat with the owner of an establishment. Whether you’re a regular cigar smoker or a newbie, this bar is the place to be. The prices are phenomenal as well. At that point, the service was very strong. We tried several dishes, including the salad, miso soup, sashimi plate, nigiri plate, and some hand rolls (mushroom, eel, scallop). We tried the tiramisu, chocolate pudding, and crème caramel for dessert. All in all, the food was tasty, the ambiance was relaxing and pleasant, and service was good. We had a very nice evening.“
“It was cool to see this place transform from Howard's Pub to Harold's Haunt. The small little changes are great and made the space feel very inclusive. They have a small beer selection with some good choices. There are also rotating cocktail and mocktail menus. There's an outdoor patio in the back that's nice. The food menu is on the smaller side but had some nice choices; the five dollar grill cheese got the job done when we needed to refuel. Good spot to stop at before or after a show at Mr.Smalls.“
“The experience started with the warm welcome from the staff. From the security to the bartender, they were all friendly and pleasant. The food was really good and seemed to be fairly priced for the area, although I still feel the area is overpriced in general. The process of getting into the venue was easy and organized. The space was a beautifully quaint and well-used venue. The crowd for a sellout was the perfect size and it was not overcrowded. The acoustics of the venue were very excellent and the price of tickets was phenomenal. If there is a downside, it is the parking, however it is free in the evening, which beats $40-$50 at most other venues. I will certainly be back just for the experience. Amazing work!“

And overall, it definitely lived up to the hype.For $17, you get a huge fish sandwich and two generous sides. I went with Mac and Cheese and fries, and it was definitely a comfort food experience. The bar has very fair prices, and the staff run what is inherently a chaotic situation extremely well. Just get their early, or be ready to wait in line. Definitely worth a trip.“

It's not a particularly large venue, nor a warm and cozy place, but they're definitely churning out some decent brews here. The barrel aged stout and west coast IPA were really very good.
