“This is a great place to eat; the setting is quite romantic. My cousin and I were heading to a diner a few doors down as we were starving, but their menu didn't have what we were looking for, so we went for pizza at this pizzaria. La Piovra (Italian for "The Octopus") is more than a pizza place; it has delicious Italian dishes. We ordered mussels in the chef's special sauce that's better than the traditional red & white sauces. We had European seabass called "branzino"; the meat had a sweet taste with few bones. Of course, we also ordered a pizza with truffle cheese, which we didn't finish, so we packed it for his kids. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Because we were the ones there that late Thursday evening, we got to speak with the chef and his wife. They're overseeing the restaurant for the owner. They speak Italian fluently and from Albania. Absolutely amazing chef and super delicious food. I highly recommend this gem. On some Fridays and the weekends, there's a live band performing in Italian.Parking: There's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant but we parked on the street, for free. There are paid street parking adjacent to the businesses.“
“Absolutely amazing experience. Food was out of this world and dessert was this best thing ever. Antipasto was peach buratta, mixto grill for 2 and arancini. Gemeli special with seafood and white wine sauce. Aso Bucco over mash. Creme brûlée, torta calabrese and tree leche.“
“i am not in this neighborhood as often as i used to be but for some reason every restaurant that is ever at this address and it has changed once or twice in the past twenty years is always great. i don't know what it is but it's always solid food. it was a rainy sunday night and i was on my way back to the city and saw trios was open so i went in ordered a tricolor calzone which is mostly just vegetables, tomatoes and spinach i think with ricotta and mozzarella cheese and a side of sauce and it was really good. perfectly cooked. and huge considering i ordered the small. makes me wonder how big a large is cause the small almost didn't fit in the pizza box. the crust was crunch brown and the breast parts were also well cooked no burn spot and the filling was delicious and not to greasy which is sort of rare in a calzone that's a large part cheese. makes me think they are definitely using high quality ingredients and it tasted very fresh so i am sure that's true. anyway i will be back for sure and since i am a huge tomato pie fan i can't wait to try one of those also. menu is solid lots of choices. they get the food made fast and the staff is nice. it's also clean and and well organized in there and they are constantly cleaning so no reasons not to get the full 5 stars.“
“Ok so the cheesesteak is definitely than all other pizza shops. It’s about 11” meat is very juicy and flavorful with lots of melted creamy cheese and the onions were caramelized perfectly. I would absolutely give that steak sandwich a 20 out of 10“
