The food is TRUE & authentic Italian- my son closed his eyes at bread course (grilled Roman bread with ricotta & honey for A Scarpetta) and said, “mom this tastes like Italy!” We shared and tasted so many things, antipasto, starters, the salads were fresh, perfect vinaigrettes, the pastas & sauces all legit, homemade from scratch and perfectly Al dente. They dry-age their beef too which is exceptional. For dessert we had tiramisu budino & affogato- a perfect ending. We will be back and would recommend to friends. The staff was great too, just the right amount of attentiveness. It was a joyful & delicious experience at Tresini.“

It was my first time here and upon arriving, 2 people were waiting to get in and 3 more trickled in minutes later. A line started to form and people are trying to get the tomato pie. I place an order for the regular tomato pie a few days ago over the phone but when I went to pick it up they didn't have my name. Luckily they had extras so I didn't have to order another. “As a cheesesteak enthusiast, I was anxious to try the "Jawn" advertised as a pound of prime ribeye on a freshly kneaded roll with caramelized onions and Cooper Sharp. The roll was fresh and warm, and yeasty, but more like pizza crust than the high end Italian rolls one finds at the best cheesesteak joints. Onions were perfect. Cheese was kind of skimpy. The beef was high quality and free of gristle..but a POUND? Maybe 8oz. MAX before cooking. I've eaten several pound steaks, and this ain't one. Fries were very high quality frozen, served piping hot in a cute mini fry-basket. Wife's wings were crispy and didn't get soggy in the plentiful hot sauce. Drinks are very reasonable and staff attentive and friendly. I guess the "Jawn" is a kind of novelty, and the price may reflect the beef grade as opposed to weight. Adorable atmosphere. I'll return, but try the Italian dishes where I suspect they excel.“

Everyone enjoyed everything from the bread and olive oil, to the complimentary appetizer plate, to the FANTASTIC meals! My son got the ravioli, which was great, but there were only 5 or 6, not quite enough for a teenage boy! Luckily my SHARED eggplant parm (served to each of us separately) had MORE than enough spaghetti for him as well. It is BYOB, but they provided a wine opener and glasses, and truly the upside is you can save the restaurant mark-up and enjoy your favorite wine! It's definitely a place you might drive on past, nestled in a strip mall with the in and out market and pepperidge farm store, but appearaces are QUITE deceiving, and i think it's VERY safe to say try it... you'll like it!!“

“It's not a typical strip mall restaurant. We decided last minute to go here and were pleasantly surprised. Arrived just after opening and initially felt under dressed, but after the owner greeted us, we quickly forgot our discomfort as we took in the nicely decorated room and tables. The menu has plenty of options, including a list of specials plus a few items he mentioned that weren't listed but may have been because it was the Friday after Valentine's Day. We opted for the Veal Parm. My husband got the Clams Casino appetizer, which he said was the best he's ever had. The salad with house dressing was packed with veggies along with the lettuce, and the house dressing was definitely not from a bottle. My barley soup was flavorful as was everything we had. The large piece of veal was sliced thin, which may have made it not as tender as it could have been, but I still enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the seasoned mixed veggies I chose instead of the pasta. The tiramisu is a cake version but very good. That and the chocolate cake do have a liquor flavor added to them, which is strong but not overpowering to me, but may be for some. We will definitely return to try something new.“

“I used to come here 30 some years ago when it was Sonoma. It has been several other restaurants through the years but this is the best by far. There are 2 bars. One on the first floor that has retractable windows to open up to the outside. Then there is my favorite bar upstairs. Light, airy, nicely painted walls with olive leaves and glass ceiling.There is a happy hour Monday to Friday, 4 to 6pm. All their signature crafted cocktails are $7 and they are delicious. Our bartender, Jeff, was welcoming and very knowledgeable about his craft. Love that they use a lot of local products. There are other drink options (see my menu photo below) and fun food items. We ordered 2 pizzas (shrimp and artichoke and the pepperoni). Both were fabulous.I will be returning again for their in house made pasta and I can't wait.Parking: People often think that parking is difficult in manayunk but there are plenty of options in the nearby lots if you can't get one on the street.“

My cousin and I were heading to a diner a few doors down as we were starving, but their menu didn't have what we were looking for, so we went for pizza at this pizzaria. La Piovra (Italian for "The Octopus") is more than a pizza place; it has delicious Italian dishes. We ordered mussels in the chef's special sauce that's better than the traditional red & white sauces. We had European seabass called "branzino"; the meat had a sweet taste with few bones. Of course, we also ordered a pizza with truffle cheese, which we didn't finish, so we packed it for his kids. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Because we were the ones there that late Thursday evening, we got to speak with the chef and his wife. They're overseeing the restaurant for the owner. They speak Italian fluently and from Albania. Absolutely amazing chef and super delicious food. I highly recommend this gem. On some Fridays and the weekends, there's a live band performing in Italian.Parking: There's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant but we parked on the street, for free. It was more than just a casual gesture. Felt very authentic. Food was wonderful! So so so fresh was the feeling and quality food! It’s always worth spending a bit more when the quality shows it. Didn’t take any photos of the food, but it was very colorful and well presented. We had a variety of appetizers: Bruschetta, Cesar Salad as well as Artichoke Hearts. My friends had a soup and a steak. They loved it. My wife and I shared a pasta primavera. So so full of fresh veggies! Didn’t feel like a sacrifice to be vegetarian at all. “Really kind staff and yummy breakfast! We've ordered delivery a few times for breakfast because I saw that they offer gluten-free options. Gluten free is not listed on the delivery app menus but I took a chance ordering pancakes and adding a note requesting gluten free. I figured if they sent regular pancakes my husband could just eat them. Not only was it not an issue, but they clearly labeled the food for us as well. I've ordered gluten free pancakes and Belgian waffles with no problem and it has been really nice as a treat once in a while, esp. since most places in our area don't offer gluten free versions. I thought they had gluten free muffins as well and ordered them, opting to just refund if they didn't have them. Instead of refunding the gluten free muffins or just sending regular muffins in their place, they sent a free order of gluten free chocolate chip pancakes with a note on the box. It was so nice of them, and completely unnecessary! Having to adjust to a gluten free diet is a big, inconvenient chore and often disappointing as you realize your options for treats have been seriously limited. Every meal kind of becomes a drag. It's really nice to have a local place that can accommodate this need! I realize that ordering these kinds of foods pretty much guarantees cross contamination because we can't expect kitchens to have totally separate areas and tools just for some orders--but it's a choice I make once in a while and I'm lucky not to be a person with severe/immediate reactions to exposure. I've never felt sick after eating breakfast from Valentino's and it's not an everyday treat but I'm super grateful to have it as an option!!!“

The salmon was very moist, tender and not overcooked. My husband had the veal marsala. While he liked it, he said the marsala sauce was bland. It wasn't nearly the best he's ever had.
