“Stopped for a quick bite to eat on our way to a concert in Bethlehem. Saw it was Happy Hour. Sat and the bar and told the bartender we wanted to split the Surf and Turf burger. She brought it out pre cut and on two separate plates. Well played Pour House. We will definitely be back!!“

“Stopped by for takeout pizza. There is an entrance for takeout and one for the dining room, which looked very nice. There's also a bar area, so they have UT all covered. The pizza was delicious and I'd order there again. Service was very fast and friendly. Would recommend.“

“From drinks, appetizers, to main course and dessert always over the top! One person especially causes our dinning experience to be the absolute best is Jennifer the waitress. Always there, always checking. We really don't know what they would do without her!!“

“Stopped in for lunch and restaurant was busy, but we were seated right away. Service was fast and friendly. My husband started with a cup of soup ( Shrimp Bisque) it was very good. We both had sandwiches. My burger was good ( frozen patty) the fries were delicious! Husband had the Rachel and Dutch fries served with vinegar on the side. Both were very good. Restaurant is in a shopping center and on the smaller size. Plenty of parking.“

“Great college town eatery/bar! Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner and it did not disappoint! Seating was easy, staff was super friendly and food was AMAZING!! I'm typically a BBQ snob, but they are on point here! Brisket, pulled pork, smoked meatloaf, burgers all so good! Will definitely be stopping back on our next visit!“

“I appreciated the customer service & warm donuts. It shouldn't be so difficult to find as I'm not in downtown Reading that often. Of course be prepared to pay the meters, but the donut & smoothie hit the spot. It wouldn't hurt to add more signs or neon lights directing you to this business. I'd make a return trip when I'm in the area.“

“We decided to try Arbor Inn after reading so many great reviews. We figured we couldn't go wrong for our anniversary dinner. The decor and style indoors is very outdated and crusty. Service was extremely slow and our server was inexperienced for someone that should be serving at a place with the high ratings. The best part of our meal was the mango chutney on the Jerk Shrimp appetizer. The grilled boneless ribeye was overcooked, fatty, and chewy. The Jager schnitzel was full of breading and overcooked. For the amount we paid and the quality of food, it was extremely over-rated and we paid far too much for what we got. The reviews seem to be propped up by the "regular" patrons that frequent this establishment. We will not return.“

“The ice cream and atmosphere are great! The service leaves much room for desire - I would be so happy to partner with the owners to help operationalize this location, things have definitely improved and we obviously understand that the location is staffed by students, but there are times you'll stand there for 20 or 30+ minutes for an order of 2 dishes of ice cream. The ice cream and the location make the convenience of waiting worth it, as does the great atmosphere, but in the moment it is challenging when waiting for so long for a simple order.“

“Went on Saturday March 30 with three adults, Two Toddlers and an Infant. The host and waiter were extremely friendly and personable! Can’t say enough about how good of an experience we had! Staff was kind and accommodating to our party and the food was delicious! Great place and I will definitely be returning and recommending this place again and again!!Kid-friendliness: Thy have high chairs and a chair to put your infant seat on! All the staff was mindful of the children and very kind, plus they gave the toddlers crayons!Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair ramp / baby stroller ramp, and a huge parking lot!“

“Snuzzles is such a great place. CASH ONLY (With an ATM on premises) and always packed for dinners! Large portions of delicious food of which most are made in house. I especially love the Mario's Wicked Pizza with their own wing sauce and you truly can't go wrong with their cheese steaks. If you looking for some fantastic food look no further. Though be aware dinner service is usually packed and it's a first come first serve seating without reservations. If you made me list a con for Snuzzles is that when it's busy it can take some time for your food to made as it is made to order.Vegetarian options: I love the food here and there are a few vegetarian options. Like the non-meat pizzas and Stromboli's, there are cheese/veggie hoagies that are all tasty.Parking: Unpaved, gravel parking lot. Usually packed full of cars.Kid-friendliness: Always happy and friendly to my child. They have always had crayons and papers available to help entertain little ones. However, no "kids" menu though there are options like the "Sherolly"(essentially a pizza in a hoagie roll) that are very good for kids.“

“A couple friends and I stopped at Forrest Inn to pregame prior to an event. Seems like your typical dive bar when walking in. But Harry was a one man show; serving up drinks, cooking, running food, and amazing customer service. The food has cheap prices with great flavor. I went back for a second basket of the fresh cut fries. Definitely worth stopping in and checking it out. Daily drink specials too“

“I cannot believe I've lived here for 5 years and have never visited. If you haven't gone here to eat, you're missing out. Everything was great, even the coffee which I'm picky about (Jamaican Me Crazy). I love the architecture of the old train station. And we got scones and cookies to go, and they were so good. It was the perfect brunch spot.“

“I've lived in the area my entire life, but only over the past few years have been going here. Wish I would have started sooner. The food is delicious, the deserts are to die for and the atmosphere is authentic. Service is attentive as well. This place is a true gem!“
“Stumbled upon this gem on the way home from Allentown. Not sure why everyone didn’t give it 5 stars… let’s just say they are WRONG! Our waiter Alex was phenomenal! It’s so refreshing to have someone who knows the menu and can give you an honest opinion. He recommended the French dip, which is something my boyfriend never would have ordered, and he was drooling with every bite! We had an espresso stout and a vanilla chocolate milk stout and if you like stouts they were delicious!!! (We aren’t IPA fans so can’t review that part.) We also had the cauliflower fries with Thai chili dip… so good. They had some really unique options on the menu. Things you wouldn’t (or couldn’t ) make at home but also classics that anyone would enjoy. The “Among Us” burger is their gluten free vegan option, which is usually typical, but they chose to step up the toppings which really made it exceptional! Side option are fries and chips and we tried both options and they chose wisely! Both are worth trying. Can’t wait to come back through this way! Who am I kidding? We will make a detour here anytime!“

“We moved to the area recently. Pleasantville Diner quickly became our go-to spot for breakfast whenever we eat out. The food, service, and pricing are all great. We bring friends and family here with us to show off. It’s that good. Looking forward to many many more visits in the coming years. Thanks for providing such a wonderful spot for breakfast, Pleasantville Diner.“

Service is personal, atmosphere is comfortable. food tasted and looked more like home cooking so nothing fancy but still very good. “It was a very friendly family DinerThe 3 meat omelette. Was very good and they give you amazing good coffee, toast, home fried potatoes, and I might add they were made perfectly, Server's outstanding people I would have given it a 20 star but only can give 5. Awesome family Diner!!“

“We had dinner at the Skylight Cafe and Bar before a concert at the Santander Performing Art Center (within walking distance). Skylight is a family run restaurant that specializes in Latin American cuisine. There are a few Italian entrees on the menu too. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. My wife had a grilled chicken Caesar salad and I had a marinated grilled skirt steak with a side of sweet plantains. We hadn’t had plantains before and they were wonderful. We shared the Tres Leches cake for dessert. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Skylight Cafe.“

“It was a fun atmosphere the girl at the bar had it going on. I thought she was the bar manager but when I asked her if she is the bar manager she asked me if I’d like to speak to the bar manager. “I absolutely love this place!! I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The owner is awesome. He always makes it a point to say hello or interact with the guests. They have a cute outdoor area along the creek. They play reggae music is so relaxing and fun. It honestly feels like you're on vacation and nowhere near boyertown. They have large grills to cook your own food and servers to help you cook as well. It's a cute little bar area. I wish they stayed open later, but I get why they don't. Prices are quite expensive considering you have to cook your own food BUT you get a lot- meat, salad, potato, bread and a drink AND the experience which is unique for this area.“
“We cannot speak highly enough about Stokesay, their entire team, and, most importantly, Hannah Kufro, our Wedding Coordinator that we worked with! My wife and I signed our venue contract one-year to the date ahead of our big day, with a different coordinator, one who ultimately ended up transitioning to a different organization just a week before our tasting was scheduled. For a couple planning a wedding, especially so close to their big day, this would normally have been an incredibly stressful change to hear about, however, we were expeditiously contacted by Hannah and met her days later at our tasting – immediately after meeting her we knew we were in great hands, and we both agree that our initial impression was spot on. Hannah’s attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge have continued to impress ourselves, our parents, and our guests who experienced a phenomenal wedding just this past weekend. She not only hit the ground running with our event, but confirmed several details and was able to work with us to ensure our wedding day was as perfect as possible. While I have personally sent messages to several friends I know who are engaged and looking for venues, I wanted to share this note here for those couples looking for venues – Stokesay should 100% be on your list; the charm, history, venue, and staff will all make your big day as perfect as you could ever dream of – if anything, just go check it out – once you see this in person you’ll see exactly what we are talking about. With deepest gratitude,Blake and Lindsay Tobias“

“First of all, without further ado, or any ado for that matter, a hearty❤️shout out to four of the best bartenders who know their craft, their customers, and the meaning of the word comraderie. They know how to pour, what to pour, and who to pour it for. I never name names, but in this case, I will set a new precedent. Kudos to Kyle, Paige, Bailey, and Ryan. Each of whom, it would seem, come from different worlds and life experiences. All of whom are going places, be it in academic education, hospitality, entrepreneurship, or perhaps being the best at building a conventional life with style, love of life, family, and humanity in the aggregate. Dare I say it, the last of a dying breed.I've met some of the most fun and prolific characters at 24 who've made me feel at home in Pennsylvania, although I am from afar, i.e. Philly . The kind of folks who go out of their way to say hello as they make their way to the bar.Sometimes, after work, feeling a bit peckish, I will peruse the menu and discover some great interpretations of salads (Caesar) and snacks (Truffle fries) that hit the spot and keep me busy enjoying one of my favorite past times: eating. And from what I've seen at various and sundry tables at various times through the course of any given evening, this kitchen delivers hearty inspired entrees sure to give you reason to give positive word of mouth with regard to culinary talent. For myself, I'm going in - and intend to try nearly every item on the menu. One of the many reasons to make this establishment one of your (and my) weekly go-to's. See you at the bar.P.S. Get here to hear the mixes and musical machinations of Vinny, aka DJ Image, on just about every Friday night.(Yo Vin ??!)“

“Hands down the BEST fried chicken wings in the City of Reading, Pa & has been for more than 30 years. I wasn’t born in this City, but I’ve been eating these wings for more than 30 years strong. Many years ago, he used to have more tasty items for sale, but over the years has reduced it to what customers really want/need which is Soul Food. Headlined by the best fried chicken wings the City of Reading has to offer. Before I begin I must tell you that I am only here to review their wings & fries, delivery through DoorDash has only been available for a a month or so. Prior to this, it’s ALWAYS been pickup. The fries are the basic straight cut fry. They weren’t over or under cooked and matched up well with the wings. The added roll is a black thing. I am black so please don’t think that was a foul statement. Most of us, myself included will not eat fried chicken without bread. It doesn’t matter if 10 pounds of fries were included in the platter. There must be ? As you can see, each piece of chicken was coated and cooked properly. There was no darker or lighter pieces. Every piece of skin on every piece of chicken was the same color. This tells me that no matter how busy they get the food quality is consistent. Please note that this place gets real busy so sometimes DoorDash isn’t available. You may have to call and place your order then pick it up. These wings were served hot which is always a plus when being delivered. Seasoned to perfection with crunchy exterior and a juicy interior. Once you take a bite, you won’t stop eating until all of your wings are gone. Don’t even think about sharing them with a fellow newcomer. Pay the money and get everyone their own platter. Another plus was that I didn’t notice any hairs on my chicken. Now I’m not saying that your piece won’t have any, but mines didn’t. If you happen to stop by, tell them Big Dave sent ya. The best fried chicken wings in Reading, Pa. With that in mind, my name BigDaveIsFat says it ALL!“Get Your Grub On!”“

“UPDATE! I returned to this restaurant, now named “American Diner.” I ordered the same thing as before. Eggs, home fries, turkey bacon and grits. I also ordered a New York strip steak because that is what my bestie ordered on my last visit. Upon arrival I was immediately taken to my seat. There were plenty of other customers there as well on this Sunday morning. My servers name is Samantha. A very beautiful melanated woman who just happens to look like Clarissa Shields the current GWOAT of female boxing. She was one of the nicest and prettiest servers I’ve had. She was on top of her job and did it very well. There were no problems with my order and she asked several times throughout if I needed anything else. I dove into the grits first because that’s why I was there. I added butter, salt & pepper than dove in and to my surprise, they tasted a lot better than before. The previous time, they weren’t edible, but this time they were so I dug in. I cut the steak and ate a piece and noticed that it was a little tough and it needed more seasoning, but it wasn’t bad at all. I just added some table seasoning and some A1 sauce and everything was fine. The real test was eating the grits with the eggs and bacon I ordered. Well, I ate everything on the table and not once had to ask for a replacement or for something to be made over. It was cool sailing once my food hit the table. No, their grits aren’t the best and still need some work, but they are edible now and will not disappoint those who love them as much as I do. I was impressed with the cooks because the restaurant was packed and my meal was not under or over cooked. Everything turn out great considering how packed it was. I’ve taken the luxury of adding more stars to this review for atmosphere, food, service & overall quality. My name BigDaveIsFat says it all. “Get Your Grub On” folks! Check out the pictures below!“My first review! The grits were the nastiest I've ever attempted to eat. I sent them back seconds after they hit the table. My friends steak was 85 % fat/gristle making it next to impossible to eat. I am a superior grit maker and I suggested they remove this item from their menu until their staff learns how to prepare them properly. The grits you see in this picture were made me. Creamy with #NoLumps”“
“Okay, this spot is a gem! I’m quite a critic about taste, looks, and service and yo all ima say is they got the best wings in Reading, never would have thought. “I ordered the "mini meal" of eggplant Parm with spaghetti. It came with a roll, 2 veggies or 1 veggie and a cup of soup and dessert of pudding... All for just $9.99. For my veggies, i got pickled beets and broccoli which was fresh broccoli. I enjoyed my meal. My husband ordered the chili fries which he said could've used more chili and the bacon cheeseburger. He liked his meal. The place is an old time diner with counter seats as well as tables and booths. The bathroom was clean. Our server was great!!!“

“Gotham's vigilance extends beyond the shadows, even to the quaint corners of Reading, PA, where Batmanjawn, recently ventured into a unique and historic building. It was Judy's on Cherry, which stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, a sanctuary where even the Caped Crusader can find respite from the eternal battle against crime, a haven of culinary delights where heroes and ordinary folk alike can find solace in the simple pleasures of good food and great company. I was greeted by the warm glow of vaulted wooden ceilings and the aroma of freshly baked focaccia bread, a sensory experience fit for a hero. Gail, the hostess, with her gracious demeanor, welcomed me with the warmth of a trusted ally, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The butternut squash soup started the meal off Bat-tastically. The old fashioned packed the punch of the Batmobile's turbo boost. The filet mignon, tender as a villain's heart after a night in Arkham, paired perfectly with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies that would make Alfred proud. But it wasn't just the food that left me in awe; it was the service, embodied by Steve, a stalwart guardian of hospitality, a waiter of unparalleled dedication and charm, whose smile could rival even the Joker's grin. With 17 years of service under his utility belt, he exemplified the hospitality that does justice to Judy's reputation of excellence. The unique cigarette-turned-magnet dispenser, made me marvel at the ingenuity of humanity, the resilience of the human spirit. It was transformed from nicotine machine to an artist’s dream. Poetic. As I stood atop the payment folio, passing my Judy’s gift card like a torch of patronage to Steve, I couldn't help but feel that Judy's on Cherry isn't just a restaurant; it's a sanctuary for the soul, a refuge where heroes and artists alike find solace in a world fraught with chaos. To Judy's, I say: may your lights never dim, your flavors never fade, and your legacy endure like the legend of the Batmanjawn.“

“I had not been to Union Jack’s in several years and was excited to go there a few days ago. Their menu is pretty robust with excellent pub fare, sandwiches, and wings amongst other items. “The best breakfast-brunch-lunch-dessert place anywhere around! There is definitely something for everyone so it's great for meeting people there. Breakfast items are available all day :) There are multiple meat-free options. The falafel is one of my favorites. Today, I had a spinach feta pretzel wrap, and the braided soft pretzel was so good! “Third Rail is one of our go-to local spots for burgers and apps! Their bleu cheese burger is my favorite, but I like most every burger I've tried there. Their menu is reasonably priced, and the location is cool -- right near a train track (hence the name). Other sides/appetizers we typically choose when dining in are their pierogis, quesadillas and of course their Old Bay fries. So good!“
