“The Milky Way is what you expect a small-town restaurant to be. No more no aless. That said, it is a great place to eat and to people watch. Most of the folks at the Milky Way are from the area, but when I say the area, I mean 20-30-mile radius of Fort Loudoun. The food here is above average. Most people coming to the restaurant order more than the food (e.g. ice cream, shakes, etc.). The prices are reasonable albeit a little higher than last year but that is to be expected with inflation and all. When you go to the counter, your server (mostly young girls) will take your order and deliver it to your table personally. That is a nice touch. It is a place we go out of our way to go to because it is a throw-back place. It has been the same since it opened (the 70's?). I hope that it continues to stay open for many years.“

“On 02/02/24 I made my 3rd trip across the mountain to Wild Annies for lunch. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant ! Service and staff are great. The staff is always smiling and making sure everything is to the customers satisfaction. The food and preparation are 2nd to none. This place is a gem. They have a wide selection of food and unusual toppings. I don't know how they do it, but they do it well. Thank you all for another great experience ! I will be back for sure !“

“At here on a Friday night. They were busy fast service. Excellent pub burger, loaded fries, fish and chips are were perfectly prepared. Chipotle ranch is a must with the fries. Awesome French onion soup. Perfectly poured black and tan. More than one high chair for children would be my only add.“

“This small, drive-up eatery is a bit of an oasis in a fully rural setting. The food is great with generous portions and the reasonably low pricing is from yesteryear. Service with a smile and you wonder why more icecream joints can't get it right like this. I will get a chocolate malt shake everytime I pass by and my wife gets the grapenut flurry. And for a meal it is their cheeseburger basket for two. Go get you some and enjoy the company under the pavilion.“

“It felt like dining in a European mountain village courtyard. If you can make it in the summer to eat outside do it, otherwise you won’t be disappointed in the historic architecture and woodwork of the dining area and bar. A small town is lucky to have this chef around as well. Can’t say enough how I loved it and my kids said it was like a “secret magic garden”, and I agreed.“

“If you’re looking for a great home cooked meal, please try The 522 Grill. We recently had their homemade ham loaf with hash brown casserole applesauce and ice cream. Everything was absolutely delicious! I haven’t had ham loaf this good since eating my mother- in-laws. You know you’ve had a good meal when your husband is still talking about it the next day. The service is great as well!“

“For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the young lady behind the bar in this establishment she also takes care of the customers at the table she's absolutely wonderful her kindness and courtesy with the customers is definitely appreciated and she has made me a customer for life we love going to this establishment the food is always great the atmosphere is nice and you have a great View at the mountain top my wife and I absolutely love this place thank you for all of your great work taking care of us every time we visit I wish I could visit more often“
