“Great, old time ice cream place. This would be the perfect spot to visit after a baseball game!I took my kids for an ice cream on a lazy Sunday afternoon this summer. The place was packed! However, the line moved fast.My younger son ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream and my older son tried the moose tracks. (I took a taste of both)The mint chocolate chip was so delicious, it reminded me of ice cream I got from a little candy shop up in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. My older son said that their moose tracks was the best he's ever had.We will definitely go back!Only wish they had some gluten free cones or cookies.“

“This restaurant is a gem. The food is fantastic, quick and homemade. The place is impeccably clean. I dare you to find something dirty. We watched the staff during a slow time wipe down salt and pepper shakers, table numbers, chairs, under the table, etc. And the staff are lovely, kind and helpful. We particularly enjoyed Darryl and Tracey who were both extremely nice and friendly. Even with all the food options in Philadelphia, we made a 2nd stop here because we enjoyed the first so much. “My family used to call this bakery “The Crabby Woman Bakery” back in the 1980s. That’s because at least one the regular women who worked behind the counter was unusually crabby. I used to ask my parents to pick up a birthday cake that I had ordered ( or for whatever occasion) and I would cook the dinner for my extended family. My dad would arrive with the cake, but he always seemed a little unhappy. One day, I asked him why. He told me “whenever you send me to that bakery, I always tell the woman behind the counter that I am picking up a cake that my daughter ordered. I give the woman your last name…..she becomes irritated and asks “I need to know the size of the cake and the cake and icing flavors”. When he admitted that the only thing he knew was the last name, the woman would become very annoyed. This should be a short pit stop always turned into a very long process. The bakery woman would always figure out which cake was mine but it took a lot of time and many questions. Eventually, my dad changed the bakery name to “The Crabby Woman Bakery” and that’s what my family ( and friends) called it for the Emanuel years. The baked goods are all AWESOME. Especially the sour cream cookies and strawberr6 shortcake!“

“From the tasting to after the wedding, Bredenbeck’s was amazing! The cake came out EXACTLY how I expected it to. It was beautiful! And it tasted amazing! All of my guests really loved every layer (each one was a different flavor). We had a small issue with the filling but Bredenbeck’s rectified the issue right away and took accountability! “Had an amazing experience for our child's birthday party. We reserved the playroom for our 3 year old and his 8 friends plus parents and some babies. The kids (ages 1-4) all had a blast in the play area which had a playground, lots of toys, and endless entertainment for the entirety of the party. They could have played there all night! There was plenty of room for all of the kids to sit and eat at a table and for the adults to relax and mingle. There was also plenty of room for us to setup food, beverages, and coolers in addition to what the bakery provided (pizza, juice, cupcakes). The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating! “I can't say enough good things about Meg and her work! She was absolutely fabulous to work with for my geeky 1950’s wedding. She was sweet, professional, and up to whatever challenge I could throw at her. From start to finish she was amazing to work with, our trial was delicious and we spent months anticipating getting to taste the amazing cake again. On our wedding day I was so excited to see our Doctor Who themed cake and cup cakes, it was more then I could have ever imagined it to be. All night people commented on the design of the cake, and once it was cut people commented on the taste. The espresso is good but the cappuccino is weird; they don't pour the milk through the crema at all, so it's mostly foam on top of a single shot. It can be folded through but I think next time I'd just get an espresso here. I really like that they have reusable cutlery and crockery, and service is brisk even when they're crowded. They also have a bunch of pastries if you're looking to grab and go. No parking lot but free street parking up to two hours. Friendly staff.“

It was easy to place the order, the cost was reasonable, the pretzels were ready for pickup as scheduled (and they even offered advice on how to freeze them to keep them fresh for our guests), and most importantly, they tasted exactly the way Philly soft pretzels are supposed to taste.
