“A very cool, industrial-feeling space in a repurposed factory that looks like a castle. But the great beer is the real draw here. They have a nice variety on tap - something for every taste - served by knowledgeable and personable bartenders. Wallenpaupack Brewing just down the road gets a lot of attention, and deservedly so. But don’t miss Hopping Eagle when you’re in the area. It’s comparatively smaller than WB, but punches well above its weight.”

“We live 25 min away in Milford Pa and love our breakfast places but wanted to try something new. This had good reviews and was open on Tuesday in early Dec so we tried it out and we're so pleased we did! We got there after 10am and there were 2 tabkes in there still(good sign for time of day, time of year and day of week) I had 2 eggs with, sausage links,homefies and Rye toast with coffee. Mom had a spinach and feta omelet with home fries Rye and coffee. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was really fast food was fresh, cooked correctly, hot and tasty! Has a nice diner feel, small place and small parking lot so I can't imagine what it's like in the summer. We will definately be back!”

“My husband & I organized a little 3 nite get-away to Woodloch Resort (Pines area) for ourselves, 3 other couples & one single friend. We are all in our 60s so everyone has had years to solidly determine they like their creature comforts. We are a pretty well-traveled group so some not easily impressed. Hubby, myself & our single friend have all been to Woodloch a few times & love it! We have never visited in November & hoped there would be enough for us to do. Planning to please 6 other adults left us with fingers-crossed, as inevitably there is always someone who feels a restaurant, hotel, etc. didn't quite meet their expectations. However for this trip, every person LOVED it!! The check-in is not until 5:00 pm but we were allowed to get our wristbands & enjoy the amenities of the resort while we waited for a text that our room was ready. The 3 couples each had Deluxe Lakeview accommodations in the Greenbriar bldg., attached to main building. They were thrilled with the beautiful view each morning from their room or while on their private balcony/patio. They were able to walk to the dining room, night club/show area, sports bar, or lobby which was our usual meeting point, all without going outside. They were right there for mini-golf, bocci, etc. For those traveling with kids it is close to the big playground, water slide in summer or snowtubing in winter, pedal boats or rowboats. My husband, friend & I shared an Edgewater Suite which had a full kitchen, a large bedroom with 2 queen beds, living room with pull out sleeper couch which my friend said was comfortable (but that's based on someone who regularly falls asleep lying on her couch - LOL) & a washer & dryer. Very spacious. It was a little bit of a walk to the main bldg which was no issue for hubs & me but my friend has walking issues. No problem there - there were 3 shuttles that ran right up until midnight. Never a long wait & at times we called the front desk if we knew she just missed it & another shuttle was immediately dispatched. When she asked an employee for a safe way to walk down to the pontoon boat ride as to not go down a somewhat steep walkway they offered to call for a golf cart ride & were right there with it. The one word to describe every employee would be "Accommodating!" Now, of course, food is also important. We had a meal plan that included breakfast & dinner. Both meals each day were plentiful, very good, good variety (breakfast standard crowd-pleasers of eggs any style, home fries, bacon/sausage/turkey bacon, & their homemade bread & morning cake (amazing crumb cake one day, an apple crumb another, etc.), or egg white frittata for those seeking a healthier alternative, just to name a few. Dinner always had homemade soup, family style serving of salad & veggie plus 4 entree choices that included an option for non-meat eaters. Of course, those delicious homemade breads were right there for the taking. Even when stuffed you must try their made-on-premises creamy ice cream. So delicious! The wait staff was attentive & pleasant. Jorge was our waiter for the first couple of days & just the nicest guy always greeting us even when not assigned to our table. Although lunch was not in our plan there was a Deli at the Inn at Woodloch that we visited each day. Homemade soup was great & a large choice of made to order sandwiches The sandwich price was generally a reasonable $10 & for the amt on that sandwich & given the fact Boars Head cold cuts are used I felt that was more than fair. Those with a family could always buy cold cuts & fresh Italian bread from another deli/store by the gas station within the resort premises & make their own. Each room has a fridge. There were plenty of activities: Name that Tune, Minute to Win it, bocci, mini-golf, pedal boats still operating in this cool weather, Go-Carts, & these senior citizens even went into child mode & did the bumper cars! We tried archery which Kayne was manning. He showed the ”

“I cannot give this place enough stars. We visited this place almost year ago and we tell everyone about it. It was so much fun! The owner was so welcoming. The atmosphere was great! The entire place was singing karaoke together. The comedy show they had that night was SO funny. Food was out of this world. Literally cannot say enough good things. We’re trying to plan our next trip up there just to go to the Crazy Country Club!”

“We sat at the bar to eat dinner. The restaurant was busy and the bar full. Our bartender Kim ( I believe was her name ) did a great job . Sounds like they had a call out so it was only her . The bar was full from the time we sat down until almost closing. She was quick ,efficient,and pleasant. She never missed a beat from what we saw and experienced . The food was also great . We will definitely be back .”

“I wandered on one day out of curiosity to see what Grandma had & I was hooked! Everything was so tasty, made to perfection. Among my favorites are the Lobster tails, with the most scrumptious, creamy filling & wonderful buttery layers, the apple turnovers & the Bearcats. Every single thing I've tried has been addictive. I'm looking forward to their re-opening in February. I've missed Grandma's yummy goodies. So glad I found this place, it's one of a kind perfection.”

“The food here is very hit or miss, though the servers are very attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant, looking out the windows at the golf course. The chicken in the chicken salad was overcooked/hard/dry, and there was not allot of it, on the sandwich which was mostly an overly large croissant. They have good fries, though. My wife liked her asian salad, i agrred that it tasted good, but not a lot of imagination put into it.

“This food was actually good. I ordered mushy vegetables without egg and also ordered vegetable fried rice without egg.
A specified over the phone two times and still got egg not the end of the world. I just picked the egg out and everything else was delicious. The vegetable fried rice really has loads of vegetables in it not just your standard five way frozen mixed veg. this has lots of broccoli, florettes, zucchini, carrots, onions, mushrooms, water, chestnuts really, really good. I only took two pictures and I can’t find them so if I do, I will post them later.”

“Absolutely gorgeous setting made even better by quick and friendly service. Went here for an anniversary dinner and couldn't be happier with the decision. Dan was our server and the other wait staff and bar hostess were all equally friendly. You were allowed to enjoy the scenery as you pleased and the stone steps on the small path were very cute.

We started with the grilled naan and the mac and cheese bites. The (I believe) fig jam with the naan was super flavorful and the mac and cheese bites were to die for.

Our main share plate was a NY strip done medium rare and it was made just right and the garlic butter and onions with it were really flavorful.

We got the rainbow cookie and deep fried horchata bites for dessert. I've never had a rainbow cookie before but if I can have one this good again if get more. The horchata bites were so strong and have got to be one of my favorite desserts I've ordered anywhere.

The peach mocktail was one of the best I've ever ordered.

“I’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed the changing menu of beers, at excellent prices. The staff has always helped me pick one I enjoy, and the food is always great. The staff is really attentive. The last time I was there so many very friendly folks kept coming over to check in, bring me my food, check on my beer and growler fills… you’re supposed to order food at one counter and beer at another, but the staff all offered to take my order and bring me my items when they were ready.”
