“I stopped in today (Easter) and was completely blown away..The atmosphere really felt like home. Ms Lisa greeted me with a smile and sat me promptly. I ordered the fish & grits with shrimp and they were the best that I've EVER had ( im a foodie). The costumer service was awesome and the menu options were truly refreshing to see. There is something on the menu for everyone. I spoke with Ms.Stephanie( the owner) and she gave me some history on her establishment and it really felt like I was speaking to my auntie that's just how welcoming she was. I will tell everyone about the Welcome home cafe and I can't wait to come back. I wish you much success ❤️“

“This is the second time I’ve gone to Curds and Whey, but this was the 1st time for takeout. I wish I had taken a picture before I devoured the DELICIOUS Maryellen salad. The honey goat cheese, the homemade maple dressing, the chicken. All of it. My husband watched me eat it once I got home and he said you sure are enjoying that aren’t you!? Maria waited on me and was very attentive, prompt, helpful, and happy … which sometimes you just don’t find.Can’t wait for dinner… I knew what kind of day it was going to be and thought I’m buying dinner! So we will see, but I bet the chicken piccata and the roasted butternut squash with walnuts and craisins are going to totally hit the spot. Definitely would recommend this place.“

“I really like Panera, however, I noticed that certain days, the quality of the soup, broccoli and cheese, tends to be quite watery. I think it has something to do with freshness. The sandwiches are pretty good. The cashiers are always friendly.“

I walked in and the gentleman at the register recommended “the Antonio” sandwich…and let me tell you, I came back the next day for another one! It was so good! “I have enjoyed this place since it opened! The staff is magnificent. They are personable and take care of you! The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a wood decor. There is not a lot of seating inside, but there is ample seating outside. There is a good size parking lot (approximately 15 spots) and more parking right out front. The food and coffee is wonderful!The lattes are not extremely sweet of the syrups I get. This is a preference of mine real and strong coffee locally roasted!“

“Clean minimal shop with quality matcha products and great ice cream.Strawberry and earl grey swirl are my current go to after dinner in Chinatown, however it is a seasonal flavor so get it while you can. I’ve also had the hojicha float which was refreshing and had a deep roasted nutty flavor with an edge of bitterness.What I enjoy most about this place is the typical Asian compliment when it comes to dessert “not so sweet”.Surreal is quite trendy but I find myself becoming quickly tired of it due to amount, all the toppings, and just the overall sweetness of the ice cream whereas matcha Maiko has the perfect amount of sweetness to remind you it’s a treat but not to the point where halfway through you feel like need water or tea to tone down the sugar“

As we walked through the streets, we were looking for some coffee and small breakfast... NON STARBUCKS. We love supporting local businesses no matter where we are at. We ran into this place and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it! The atmosphere was great! The people were amazing! Everybody was friendly! Even being from out of town we felt very welcomed, and like this could be our Neighborhood coffee place! Wish you were down here! “A hidden jewel for good coffee nestled in Old Rittenhouse Town, Wissahickon Park. (A Beautiful area to hike or mountain bike (two separate trails) or walk your dog ). It is a coffee shop and bike shop. The surprise was the quality and freshness of the coffee. My Americano was delicious. The beans were freshly ground, and the cup was Full of flavor. The young gentleman that served me (and my dog!) was very friendly and welcoming. There are a couple of picnic tables outside to sit and enjoy your coffee and the beautiful historic Rittenhouse town.“

“Food was fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. Beware of the pickled jalapeños if you are sensitive to spicy food.Both their beef gyro and falafel were the best I’ve ever had. Please keep in mind that I don’t even like meat and I’ve been struggling with anorexia for decades. So it’s very difficult for me to eat anything unless it’s super fresh and extraordinarily tasty. This place is a true gem and treasure.Service was outstanding, The owner-host made us feel immediately welcomed and at ease. She let us customize our order and was very prompt with our food. “This morning, as I was on my way to work, I had a little bit of time to grab a cup of coffee before catching my train. I came across this quaint cafe and decided to check it out. I am so glad that I did. Not only did I get a cup of coffee but I also got an egg & cheese sandwich on a croissant. My breakfast was absolutely amazing. The croissant was buttery and fresh. The sandwich literally melted in my mouth and the coffee was the finishing touch! I told the workers that this was the best breakfast sandwich that I ever had! “I wanted to check out a new coffee shop a couple months ago after moving nearby, and was drawn in by the very friendly staff. Will and Dom in particular are fantastic and get to know you by name. The coffee is fantastic and best bagels in philly no doubt. I drive from Mannyunk as often as I can to hang there!“

“I just want them to make my coffee and design my apartment ? the cappuccino is the smoothest that I've had in Philly and the decorum is exquisite. The price is very affordable for a cappuccino and it's CONSISTENTLY well made, which is rare for a coffee shop. Not to mention they're open on Christmas when everyone else is closed and I appreciate that. My 5 year old and I go and sit here for hours and write and read and laugh. It's an amazing atmosphere.“

Service is a little slow but every time we’ve been there it’s only 1 guy working and he’s working hard. We don’t mind the wait at all, we usually bring some cards or something to keep us occupied ? the restaurant is very clean. its BYOB so bring your drink of choice! I really love this place. I hope you try it.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. I eat meat but went with 2 vegetarians and we shared everything. Eating vegetarian here still is sooooo satisfying.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is not wheelchair accessible. There’s a small set of about 4 stairs you have to walk down to get into the building.“

“I tried the bergamot latte and it's so refreshing! I've never had this flavor anywhere else which makes this cafe a little different from others. It can be quite small and there's an upstairs with a couple tables. I've seen that they used to have more seating in the past but half the space is a vinyl store, so it can be difficult to find seating. The barista was so friendly and welcoming too!“

“This place was very good. This was our first time coming here. We had a very short wait which was a welcome surprise since it was a Saturday around noon. My son had the red velvet pancakes and liked it (he said 4/5). I had the braised beef Benedict and it was awesome. Great flavor and eggs were poached perfectly. Service was definitely 100%. Never waited for anything. You can tell all the people working here care. I highly recommend this place for a great brunch. I will be back for sure!!“

“Omg I just left Toast Cafe and let me tell you........I got full...so fast lol! The food was AMAZING! NO LIE. I had the bourbon chicken and waffles..it was delicious. My husband had the whiting fish and grits...it was TOP TIER! SO simple yet SO FLAVORFUL!!! Grits was bussing! Fish was fried to perfection! The blueberry lemonade was a HIIITTT!! “I’ve been meaning to try this place for awhile and I’m glad I stopped in! Very friendly and accommodating staff and the owner was so welcoming and kind. He spent the time to greet my baby and me and even made a complimentary Greek yogurt and fruit dish for my baby. The food was so fresh and delicious. The coffee was very good as well. Felt like a small town cafe. Will be coming back every time I’m in the area! I hope they open another restaurant in Delaware County.“

“The only critique I would have is that they need a better roll for the steak sandwich and it needs to be gutted. Now saying that I prefer the texture on the outside of the role to be different than the inside of the role. The roll feels like I’m eating white bread with seeds. But other than that, everything is delicious. I do not want to discourage you from getting the cheesesteak because it’s so good. I’ve had it several times! Like I said just prefer a different roll. The owner is very personable and besides the food bringing you back, you want to go back because of the owner.“

“Artesano Cafe in Manayunk is the spot to hit up for breakfast or just a coffee run. I loveeed their outdoor food truck. Their breakfast sandwich with a special maple spread is so good! I would've never thought to add that on a breakfast sandwhich. And the tater tots?! So crispy, so good. It was a decent enough day outside to sit outdoors, but their inside setup is pretty cozy too. “Her daughters is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Philly. I drive by so many just to come here! Every single thing we’ve tried, we’ve never been disappointed. My favorite drink is an iced dirty chai, they have the best chai! The iced ginger snap chai really had me in a chokehold during the holiday season! My husband’s favorite is the Vietname iced coffee! “The workers were super friendly! My London fog was tasty. They didn't add any sugar to it so I added my own, but I actually appreciate that because it's not fun when it's overly sweet. The sticky bun I had was heavenly. Someone put their heart and soul into making that thing. So sweet and buttery and flavorful. Atmosphere was also cute. Not overly busy, good for working. Place is kinda small, but I was thankful for an open seat. Very clean and welcoming. I would recommend!“

“First of all--I'm glad to be introduced to another Black owned bakery! And the customer service is great. My aunt located this place when looking for treats for my grandma's bday. Everything was delicious and were a hit with the family, including the cookies. They really have too many cupcake options to choose from ?. I recently stopped by and tried the delicious sweet potato & strawberry shortcake cupcakes. I also have tried the Oreo and Turkey Bacon ones, which were good, too. I'm literally sad it's a Monday and can't wait until Wednesday to visit.“
