“I’m from Maryland and I visited JT for the first time this past weekend. I can’t express enough how wonderful the entire town is. But Wild Elder was the most welcoming and cozy establishment. I highly suggest the Elderflower Cider or mulled Elderberry wine. I had their BLT and broccoli slaw and it paired perfect! I can’t wait to come back again!”

“They did an over the top job on the outdoor patio. I absolutely love it !!! It was hot as heck outside and the fans kept us cool enough to still enjoy our meal outside. And looks like there is heat for winter months too. The staff and owner were so nice to us. You can tell the owner really cares and appreciates his customers. Love the menu. Can’t wait to go back.”

“A little constructive feedback… My husband and I stopped in for the first time a couple of nights ago. We are locals and always looking for a new place to try. When we first got our food, things were going well. The first bite or two was fine, as a matter of fact there really wasn’t anything wrong with the food. We got our food about 6:45. By my second or third bite., all I could smell was bleach. The dining room is very small, and an employee rolled a mop bucket past us and into the back. I figured the smell would soon dissipate and that she was mopping in the back. They proceeded to mop the whole eating area, all around us. I personally cannot stand the smell of bleach and I am not happy that as a paying customer, I was forced to inhale bleach, for the rest of my meal, which pissed me off as it ruined the rest of the visit and my appetite. There is no way that was necessary to do that while people were eating. Even if you were closing soon, it makes no difference! Wait until you don’t have customers trying to enjoy their food.”

“Ate here with my friend and they have really good food and some really amazing drinks and the staff is so nice we were on the top floor and sat by the window, which was a really nice view and you don't even have to wait long”

We were introduced to the orange cosmopolitan that was delicious! Then she made me a hot apple cider with fireball with a cinnamon stick! It was so good... Just what I needed to warm up ... “I moved to Jim Thorpe 3 months ago and happened upon this bar on Memorial Day. The friendly bartender Andrea made me feel so welcome. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the fun drinks. Stop in and say hello to Andrea. You won’t be disappointed. Also, you can order food from their pizza restaurant next door. 😁👍.”

“This shop is a wonderful place to pop into while you are strolling the streets of Jim Thorpe. We came for the coffee and it did not disappoint! The espresso in my mocha was wonderfully balanced. The shop has plenty of seating although it does fill up quickly. I would recommend trying the mocha for a sweet caffeinated boost of energy.”

“As Asian, it hard to not eat rice or noodle one day while traveling. We always seek out the local Asian spot to fulfil our craving for some rice dishes.

This is also one of the few spot that are open on weekdays as well in this area. Most restaurant only operates Thursday - Sunday.

The owner came to greet us and chatted with us for a bit. He was nice and friendly.

“Great spot, with a huge all-weather deck; we had to eat on the sidewalk at one of 3 tables because we had the dog with us. A hot day in March brought ALL the people out so it was busy as heck at 3:00 pm. The big pluses were meeting the owners which were so amazingly friendly, and our server was sweet as apple pie. Good solid pub/bar food and a fun atmosphere. Cozy little bar. Fish & chips and Reuben were very nice.”

Not only accommodating to what i wanted but also gave me pointers of things to see and do in the area. I will be back and hopefully she will be the person serving me again”
