“Cafe Toast is a winner! I had the oxtail and grits and my father had the blackened salmon dinner with mac and cheese and sautéed cabbage and it was delicious! ? I saw people who were getting their food before us smile as they were shown their order and I did the same when I got mine. Food joy lol . The young lady at the counter was kind over the phone and in person. I will definitely be back! Five stars ?“
“I purchased food yesterday for lunch. I was tired of eating in the cafeteria of my office. I looked up this local gem and ohhhh boy it did not disappoint. I am from Brooklyn and I too am Jamaican so I know a good hand. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage. The food was so darn good and the portions are so big!!! Loved it!! It was so good I went back for the BBQ j*** chicken and a side Mac and cheese!!!!!!!! Y’all gotta give them a try. I don’t even live in Trenton and will drive this 40 minute drive for this when I am not at work! It was good!Parking: I risked getting a ticket but I don’t suggest you do it. The parking isn’t good but the food is worth it. But don’t get a ticket!“
“Restaurant owner here. I don’t pander, and I don’t treat bad technique lightly. Hands down, the best goat I have ever had. EVER. Cod pie.. amazing. Beef pie was great but did I mention the friggin Cod? The ox tail is EXACTLY what you would hope, slow braised, fall off the bone, no bite. Did I tell you about the goat? Amazing. Ting ting washes everything down. Mac and cheese isn’t bad, but what are you really here for? I do like my plantain over done and a bit more done THAN they serve but this was the best you can find in lower bucks. Kids were happy and I have picky eaters. Rum cake is a home run. Thank you thank you thank you, I should have paid you twice.“
