“First time being there and everything was great. Between 3 of us we had brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, and ribs, all of it cooked right and delicious ... Karen was our server and she was so friendly and on top of everything we needed. We will definitely go back when in the area. If you're looking for great BBQ, don't hesitate to try this place.“
“Great place to bring family or friends for a steak dinner. They have plenty of other choices that are amazing and well priced. Never had a bad meal here since they opened.Parking: Plenty of parking most nights besides weekends. The parking lot can get packed at peak dinner hours“
“Had an amazing experience at Anthony's! My family of 5 came in today on a roadtrip from Florida to Vermont and got a large variety of foods. I got breakfast, but the table also got burgers, pizza, and even wings! Speaking of which, the wings were possibly the best wings my family has ever had, and it's a shame we don't live in the area to have them more often. The pancakes had a homecooked taste to them and the chocolate chips were simply decadent. It's a family owned restaurant, so the food took a bit, but it was well worth the wait. Thank you for an amazing experience, we will definitely be repeat customers next time we are in town. :)“
“We first heard of Chef Von through Next Level Chef. We stopped today as we passed through Scranton. We had the new hangover smash burger which was off the charts. Everyone was super friendly, food was amazing and we even got to briefly met Chef Von. Highly recommended. Get there before he wins next level and you won’t be able to get a seat.“
“My clients wanted lunch from this location, so we decided to get it. The order was called in. I got the french bread pizza for myself. When I arrived, I parked in the private lot. I walked into a small, cute restaurant. I was greeted and the food was ready so I paid and left. When I dug in, surprisingly, the french bread pizza was a decent size for the low price. I dug in, and it wasn't bad at all. My clients like their food as well. All in all I had a good experience!“
“1st time diner. My son took me there. I had a western with hone fries and rye. Everything's great. Food, service, friendly staff. Have bakery items for sale also. Large portions if your a big eater. I will be back. Highly recommend!“
“I decided to give this place a try after reading some reviews and had a craving for a poke bowl. I went with rice, broccoli, brussell sprouts, chicken, and tuna poke. I really enjoyed the rice, broccoli, chicken, and poke, although the poke upcharge was pricey and the brussell sprouts were tougher than I expected. I got takeout, which was super convenient with online ordering and quick pickup service.“
“Super friendly staff. The restaurant itself was clean and thematic. The food was fine. I had the grilled octopus, fried cheese, and the gyro. I'd recommend them all. I've had better but it was a solid Greek restaurant. Definitely more than a diner.Kid-friendliness: We brought our daughter. They had a kids menu and the staff was friendly and accommodating.“
“Food is amazing! And service is constant. They serve only the finest meats. And it's in the way they cook them that sets them apart. In fact, it's really their forte. For meat eaters...$$$$Parking: There is a parking lot alongside of restaurant. So searching for a space is not an issue. Especially important if weather is inclement.“
“Service friendly and fast. Portions are huge for breakfast but unfortunately for pancakes they do not have real maple syrup just the generic one in the bottle. The eggs were a bit overcooked to my liking and potatoes needed more seasoning, prices are fair.“
“What's up food crew, today I am at a place I have been trying to get to for a long time. This being Bobby O's. Now they offer a nice variety of food to eat, today it's all about the dogs. In the first segment I am at the diner where I am Hot Doggin' NEPA style where we celebrate the hot dog and not rate the hot dog. This is a berk's dog where I tried the bacon and cheese, this was very tasty, the cheese was a liquid cheese and they used bacon bits compared to just putting bacon strips on the dog. My second dog was the chili dog where the chili had a nice taste, my only critique is they just threw on big ass chunky onions, personally I like a finer chopped onion, The one employee agreed with me. Now in the second segment I brought home their Italian hoagie to eat later on. Now I must make a retraction from the video. Now I ordered their hoagie as like it comes just with sweet peppers and no hot. I also asked for mayo no dressing, now does this sound like a difficult request. Well, it must have because not only did they put the dressing on it, they put the mayo as well. UGH!!!! Now what I wanted to avoid happened, I had a soggy sandwich. Overall besides that mess up this was a packed hoagie, meats, cheese, soft bread, minus the soggy parts that is. They still get a big thumbs up and recommend to all to check them out. “I used to go to Coney Island frequently until I moved out of state. I brought my family there to eat a while back, and we were not disappointed. The Texas wieners were as good as ever! Their sauce is the greatest thing ever cooked on a stove. I have lived in Texas for the past 25 years, and I haven't found a restaurant that even comes close to Coney Island wieners. They are a Scranton institution that you must visit! Go! Right now!!“
“Overall the food has always been fantastic. The drinks are good and so are the servers and it's never too tight inside to enjoy yourself. I've never had a bad experience here and have always enjoyed everything, I think this place deserves more attention.“
“Had a great dinner here after a basketball game at holy rosary. Those who got burgers enjoyed them and the house fries were delicious. Tater tots were very different from store bought and not a hit with kids (looked more like hush puppies). I sincerely appreciated that they had GF items labeled on the menu. The rice bun was very cool- felt like eating a sushi burger! Server was great! If I could give 4.5 I would!Dietary restrictions: Very GF friendly“
“Best place I've been to in Scranton!! The price is definitely worth it!!! They serve you A LOT! So just have that in mind. It'd be best if you have someone to share. The chilaquiles ARE spicy so beware. But man, they are good! The chicken and meat are absolutely perfect. Other places give you old meat where you can taste it has been sitting for a while. Not Yankee Taqueria. The eggs were fried to perfection. The muffin and bagel were toasted so beautifully. I'll try their technique when I get home. The Cecina in the platter was very juicy and tender. Rice was very fluffy. The burrito, I could barely finish half. IT IS STUFFED!! But as it is fat, it's delightful. Again, their meat tastes very good and fresh. I wish I had known of this place before. I'd definitely visit this place evert time I come to Scranton! The service and food is unbeatable. The owner and his family are very friendly and welcoming. You HAVE to try this place!!“
“My dad was celebrating his retirement and wanted to have the family together for dinner. He reserved a private room that seats 8. This was around the holidays. They had the table set beautifully with their holiday menus already waiting for us. A few of us tried their holiday cocktails and some stayed with the regular menu but both were delicious. We had a wide range of food choices across the table and everyone had great things to say. When time for dessert, we all opted for something different. The crème brûlée was out of this world along with their espresso martini. It was everything my dad had hoped for!“
“We had a surprise dinner for my parents 50th. There were about 25 of us. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed. They also catered a party we had last summer and the experience was the same. Friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend The High Bridge House!“
“We stopped in about 7:30 for dinner and it was fabulous. The service was excellent despite the lateish hour and the food was fantastic. We had pumpkin ravioli to die for as an appetizer and I had chicken parm that was so tender and flavorful. My side of vodka linguini is a new favorite! So good! Hubby's chicken strips and penne was also great. I also recommend their strawberry salad. Always a great place to eat!“
“What a hidden gem! Going to Rich's is like taking a step back in time and feels so homey and cozy. I took a friend who was visiting from one of the biggest foodie cities in the US, and he still raves about how perfect and fluffy his pancakes were! I definitely recommend them. My breakfast burrito was excellent, too, and service was fantastic.“
“Great place for vegan comfort food. Any time I'm missing the taste and texture of a super cheesy quesedilla, this is where I go -- its close enough to the real thing to quench that craving. Hubby loves the Wild Wild West burger and we both LOVE the smashed potatoes. The smoothies/shakes are freaking delicious too.“
“One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. The meat and cheese they used, whatever they did, they do it extremely well. Our waitress was super nice and it’s a cute little place. What people call the “dated” places are so often some the best food places in the area. It’s a hidden treasure in Scranton.“
“Stopped off the highway on the way home from a road trip. The S.O. was born in the area and his uncle is friends with the owner and his cousin had worked there growing up, so we wanted to give the support. Great little unassuming spot. Grabbed seats at the bar. Drinks were perfect. Had the cappelletti to start-cant find those in central NY so that was a special treat. Tuna melt special for me hit the spot. If only we lived closer, this would be a regular spot for us.“
“Loved the stone bar and the atmosphere: good music, lights, decor, everything.Food was decent, wouldn’t say great, j only had the bonfire. Buffalo chicken was good but the cheese sauce wasn’t amazing. Im very picky about cheese though. However the service from Grace was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again!“
“First time here after many recommendations. Had dinner with friends and luckily they arrived early and got a table, because when we arrived, there was quite a line/wait to be seated which I hear is normal. Excellent beer selection, and the meal was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.“
“Very friendly staff! The food is out of this world and it’s safe to say that we will be back!It does get a little pricey, but we don’t mind because their food is delicious! Also, love that all the boxes have smiley faces on them all, that made me smile!“
“My husband and I found this restaurant on a whim. SO GLAD WE DID! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere and service was awesome. But I’m really writing this review because our server was exceptional. Im a mother of 3. My oldest being 10 & youngest being 11 months old. I’ve never had a server care about my dining experience as much as she did. I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name. She had longish blonde hair maybe and was a little older(no disrespect). She was genuinely worried about my husbands latte going cold while he walked our son. She seen him fussing when our food came and she offered to bounce him around while we ate. Lastly I had left half of my coffee on the table because I was in a rush to get the baby out and to my absolute surprise she ran it out in a to go cup! She deserves recognition for the lengths she went to make our brunch enjoyable. We’re both from the restaurant industry and can attest, they don’t make em like her anymore!“
“We were greeted and seated immediately. Our table had crab cakes, grilled chicken, fried chicken and a seafood platter. The crab cakes were delicious and I believe better than some of our higher end restaurants. On another visit we had the lobster special and liver platter. The lobster is steamed perfectly and delicious. The liver was covered in onions and bacon along with a brown gravy.Great comfort food at any time of day.“
“Welcome to my next review. This is Torony's Giant Hot Dogs! Now this is not the original location. If you are from the area back in my youth, this being the late 70's and early 80's, they were located on the corner of route 315 and jumper road in Plains. Speaking with the owner today I was told when PennDOT widened Jumper Road they were forced to move. After that they relocated to a building on Main Street not too far from the arena. Now as the owner told me the second location just didn't work out, so they eventually moved to the current location. Now as per the video it's a nice size location, not too big or too small. As I walked in I did speak with the owner off camera and explained why I do food reviews and in my own way help supporting the locals. Now as per the footlongs, I got one with just mustard and onions, and the other with everything being the mustard, onions, and the sauce. Now for the dogs, I didn't taste a snap, but these were grilled nicely, you got a good number of toppings, the chili had a unique taste, different from all the others. Now they do offer fries and burgers and other items but today it's all about the dogs. When we go Hot Doggin' we don't rate the hot dog we celebrate the hot dog with those awesome condiments. Until next time be blessed and stay safe!Watch our video review 6.23.2023youtu.be/14_F7AsWS_Q“
“My Wife and I had our wedding here. It was absolutely amazing! I have never seen a staff go so above and beyond! We are so happy with how hard they worked to make everything perfect. 5 out of 5 for sure, I would recommend to anyone who is thinking about joining or having there event here. I don't think anyone could have done any better! Pam and her crew with Joanne go above and beyond for their guests, we will be forever thankful.“
“Donna's Deli is a great place for subs, salads & sandwiches! There is plenty of seating for dine in or if you prefer they have take out. They are very friendly and always have my order ready to go! A great place!Kid-friendliness: Family friendly ❤️“
“Walked in and greeted by who ended up I believe is the owner. The western omelette was loaded with peppers and onions, and ham. A side of home fried potatoes with toast along with my large oj and white milk. Very friendly staff, great food.“
“The service here can't be beat. Once they refused to charge us because our meal took too long. (so we just tipped the amt of the meal lol). Once we arrived not knowing they were closing early and they let us come in and insisted on us not rushing. The specials are always interesting and their corned beef hash is one of the best I've had. We can't recommend it enough and we come here every time we are in town .Wheelchair accessibility: Back door“
“Found this little gem when my husband was working in the area. I picked it based on the reviews and so glad I did. The place was hopping with customers and the bartenders did a fantastic job of keeping the drinks full. The owner helped us find a seat as soon as we walked in and the service from that point on was incredible! The young female bartender reminded me of myself in the “old days”. She had lots of energy to match the atmosphere and was speedy with your next beverage, served with a big smile. We each got wings and shared the garbage fries, which was all delicious!! Big crispy wings with crispy celery to match and they were not skimpy on the Bleu Cheese either.Hopefully our travels take us back this way because I’d love to visit again!!“
“Love this place!! Great food and amazing service!! We tried the Crab Gouda flat bread at the recommendation of Sam and Della and boy were they right!! We also had the Old bay Shrimp, bites and Dry Cajun Shore fries with Santa Fe Ranch!!! Yum to everything!!! We go for the food but even more for the staff. Sam, Della and Nick are truly the best and always make our night out Extra special!!“
“Thank you to the nice guy that anonymously paid for my elderly parents’ dinner, you made their day. My parents follow a strict retirement budget, and their occasional treat is to go to the Texas Roadhouse. They love their steaks and overall food quality and service. They are always treated nice when visiting, and their trip there, today, was made even more memorable by the generosity of someone in the restaurant. Elderly are many times ignored and lonely, so it is nice to know that there are kindhearted people out there that take notice and make them feel special. God bless you. I will make sure to pay it forward on their behalf :-)“
“We had a nice night out when our friends invited us to the VSpot The staff was really friendly and made us feel right at home, which added to the atmosphere. The steak they served on steak night was absolutely delicious. The music lineup was great, the sound quality was top-notch, and the new stage setup was impressive, making the whole experience even better. Oh, and we also got to check out the release of a new song called "Violet" by a popular local artist named Ivy. Overall, it was an awesome night, and big props to everyone involved for making it so memorable!“
“Prompt and attentive service with reasonable pricing. I liked my chicken pot pie soup, but there was sugar in the pie crust, that was really, really weird. The chicken strips with butter and garlic and garlic bread were fantastic! No room for dessert and a takeout container to bring home.“
“Great place for homemade food. We were a large group and were set up in the back dining area. Nice, quite! Waitress did a great job, and service was excellent.I ordered the pastie which came with a salad. Pastie was nice size. Filled with ground meat. Beware is not like the Polish variety.“
“2/5/24. We loved the food, it was delicious, including the pizza, Ahi Tuna Salad, Drunken Noodles and Bleu Burger & fries. The service was very good and friendly. The place is clean and has plenty of parking. Thank you to the cooks and service staff.Parking: There is a large parking lot on site.“
“By far one of the best places I’ve been to in the area! The food was incredible, our server was extremely kind and friendly, the guests were welcoming and it was an overall great environment and experience. This was my first time here but absolutely will not be my last time! The fries and wings were some of the best I’ve had!Kid-friendliness: The staff were incredibly kind to the child we had along with us and the environment was accommodating to children! There is a small section in the menu for kid’s meals!“
“Stopped for lunch, Had cup chicken soup loaded with chicken and vegetables did care for the broth had a lemon taste. Also had the cheese steak pannini and fries, that was delicious. Atmosphere was very loud reminded me of a cafeteria, hard to hear conversations at our table.“
“I'm so glad that my friends invited me to join them on Friday night. Place was packed what they had enough Boston goes behind the bar to take orders.. I was told that they have very good buffalo wings so I ordered some. They have the best wings in town. My friend asked me to try a bite of her plate and I did and it was super good. I do recommend joining this place.“
“Sandwiches so good we went two days in a row! The clerks at the counter were very helpful in making suggestions for us on our first visit. My daughter and I followed the recommendation and shared the steak & cheese hoagie and were not disappointed! My son-in-law had a tasty chicken parmesan hoagie. Went back the next day to try the sausage & peppers and roast beef hoagies, while my son-in-law did a repeat of the chicken parm. All were excellent and were a great value! Will have to be a go-to spot when I’m in town!“
“I love going to the backyard part. it's such a nice space. I had always gone in warmer weather but I recently went in the winter and I was surprised how nice it was since it is not fully enclosed. They are always well staffed and food and service is great. ( Seems like a rare things these days to be staffed welll.)“
“Cheers with breakfast food someone said. Um, yes 100%! While we just found you on Google while we waited for a car repair...it was truly a pleasure. Breakfast was plentiful, the omelet was great, pancakes were on point. ☕️ tasted perfect. Small, comfy, clean, and relaxing. The locals inside were kind to us and had a very positive banter back and forth with one another. Wish I lived closer!“
“Everything about Noir inside the Ritz theater in Scranton is top-notch and impressive. The food is amazing! The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. The drinks are tasty and made with high-end alcohol. The atmosphere is unique and comfortable. We’ve already been there multiple times.“
“This place is awesome! Very classic diner-esque corner spot with a breakfast bar. It’s a modest place with super friendly and personable staff. The prices are low and the food is great! My fiancée and I come for breakfast or order delivery multiple times a week. Their coffee is AMAZING and honestly never had a bad experience. Ally, Rob, and Chris are some of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! Will continue to enjoy our breakfast from this spot for many times to come.“
“Been wanting to go here for a year and finally made it out. Food was great and the family enjoyed all there plates. Service was good. Place is small maybe 6 tables plus the bar. They do have outdoor seating as well but we went in the winter. Atmosphere was nice matched the vibes. I would definitely go back for for great seafood.“
“Stopped for a beer and some food which turned out to be amazing. Highly recommend eating here or stopping for one of the many beers they offer. Extremely clean inside with a great atmosphere. Accommodating staff that was very attentive and helped with any questions or requests. Seriously loved the boom boom shrimp and the beer cheese with the waffle fries. Food selection was very good and I will be back to try something else on the menu. Worth stopping here for a great dining experience.“
“Here’s one of those very rare dining experiences where the restaurant gets everything right from the moment you arrive. The service, which was very prompt, polite, and helpful with suggestions, atmosphere, food and drinks, portions, and finally the check, which was extremely fair for all you get.I only wish it wasn’t a six hour drive to get to Scranton from Portland, Me.“
