“Ended up spending the night in Scranton to avoid the terrible weather/snow along the route to NH. Thought we'd give this place a try for lunch. Amazing! The food was all fresh and hot. Serving sizes definitely leave extra for late night snacks. I would 100% be back for more if I lived in the area. I got the eggplant Parmesan and soup. Cooked perfectly. (Hard to do with eggplant) Husband got the sausage alfredo and soup. The free bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. I can not praise this place enough. Our server was attentive and sweet as southern tea. I'm sorry I don't remember her name. She worked 4/4 lunch shift :) The ambience was pleasant. And the beer wasn't skunked! All around 5⭐. Highly recommend!“
“I don't go out (to bars) all that often, but this is a nice spot. The layout isn't cramped which is a plus. Nice bar tenders and they have comedy nights that are pretty fun. Any type of establishment that gives people an outlet like comedy night or open mic is a good thing for the community. Definitely give this place a visit.Parking: Definitely worth a visit.“

“I remember going here when I was a little girl. Fast forward...it's still perfect. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants. Dukey's still has it!! My haddock was amazing as was my sister's stuffed lobster. Waitress was a little doll..very attentive but not intrusive. Loved loved loved it. Little piece of heaven.. a hidden gem.“

“I've never written a review on a restaurant, but I had to for this...I'm in town for 4 weeks for business. Eating at a new place each night started to become more of a chore than a treat. For context, I'm from Texas where flavor and spice are BIG. I'd been mostly disappointed in the local places (no hate). I took ONE BITE of this place's brussel sprouts and knew I was in for a treat. My business partner ordered the Philly Style burger of the week and I had a fried chicken sandwich. Both dishes were full of flavor and a surprising, and welcome, bit of heat by Texas standards. We ended our meal with a lemon lush which was the perfect amount of refreshing and sweet without smacking you in the face with sugar. My business partner very much enjoyed his cocktail and I loved that they had Mexican Coke in the bottle. And THAT'S just the food...The atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and welcoming. I especially loved the touch of the waitress immediately bringing a growler of cold water and cups. Service was quick and welcoming, but without hovering. We made immediate plans to return later in the week. We spoke with our waitress and this is a family owned and run business. Can't wait to return!“

“Had a great dinner here after a basketball game at holy rosary. Those who got burgers enjoyed them and the house fries were delicious. Tater tots were very different from store bought and not a hit with kids (looked more like hush puppies). I sincerely appreciated that they had GF items labeled on the menu. The rice bun was very cool- felt like eating a sushi burger! Server was great! If I could give 4.5 I would!Dietary restrictions: Very GF friendly“
“The BEST place for live band! Service is great, even when the bar is swamped it pays to be patient lol they don't have food however I was satisfied with a pickle back whenever they had pickle juice or ask for extra olives in your martini!“

“Stopped off the highway on the way home from a road trip. The S.O. was born in the area and his uncle is friends with the owner and his cousin had worked there growing up, so we wanted to give the support. Great little unassuming spot. Grabbed seats at the bar. Drinks were perfect. Had the cappelletti to start-cant find those in central NY so that was a special treat. Tuna melt special for me hit the spot. If only we lived closer, this would be a regular spot for us.“

“This place is a favorite. Great rotating beer selections on draft. Pizza is always amazing. Bartenders know us and our usual order as we are creatures of habit but you can't fake just knowing. If you know, you know. Overall, one of the best places in the valley to just chill. No TVs but internet so great place to just veg on your phone, iPad, or computer with some ear buds. Love this place!“

“Loved the stone bar and the atmosphere: good music, lights, decor, everything.Food was decent, wouldn’t say great, j only had the bonfire. Buffalo chicken was good but the cheese sauce wasn’t amazing. Im very picky about cheese though. However the service from Grace was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again!“

“Finally got around to trying both their square and round pizza since it's only $10 for a 16-in. The round has very thin crust which I personally like. I'm not a pizza professor so I can't tell you what kind of cheese or whatever may have gone into the ingredients to give you an idea of what the outcome is but I thought it was good. The slices are definitely not as hefty as you would find at maybe Napoli's or in the Wilkes-Barre area Nello's to give an idea. But for $10 I would not pass this up. As for the square variety again not a pizza professor but it's comparable to most everything else around here. I would say at least in the square tray that I got the crust seemed a little too hard for my liking. But again no joke for a full tray for $10.“

“Found this little gem when my husband was working in the area. I picked it based on the reviews and so glad I did. The place was hopping with customers and the bartenders did a fantastic job of keeping the drinks full. The owner helped us find a seat as soon as we walked in and the service from that point on was incredible! The young female bartender reminded me of myself in the “old days”. She had lots of energy to match the atmosphere and was speedy with your next beverage, served with a big smile. We each got wings and shared the garbage fries, which was all delicious!! Big crispy wings with crispy celery to match and they were not skimpy on the Bleu Cheese either.Hopefully our travels take us back this way because I’d love to visit again!!“
“I came with my wife and there was a party that night. Our food and service was phenomenal. You would think the amount of people that there at that time would have made the wait time long. The owner came out and was helping the bartender as well as cooking food. It was astounding. I definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area!“

“Great neighborhood bar, good beer selection and tasty bar fare. Excellent service and that old "beer garden" feel. Not the easiest to find unless you know it, but it's right on the corner of Webster Ave and River Street in South side. Give it a try and I'm sure you'll go back!“

“A friend and I stopped in tonight for the first time. We arrived soon after they opened at 4 and decided to sit at the outside bar. Our server was very accomodating, turning on the tvs and the outdoor heaters, even procuring me a ticket for the Ancient Order of Hibernians pasta dinner fundraiser being held there Saturday, April 17. I had the Lace Curtain Panini w/fries and an IPA, all excellent. The Lace Works was very clean and inviting. My friend and I agreed we would have to return soon!“

“A great spot tucked away out if site. Would recommend to anyone that's looking for relaxed outside atmosphere, good food, and some drinks/entertainment. I wish they had Cornhole or horseshoes. It would send this little gem over the top. I believe they will. It just makes too much sense. If you're looking for a new place to try. Make it Backstreet. I've read some bad reviews on service. I've received nothing but perfect service anytime I go. So I can't say anything outside of it being great.“
“It's small-ish but has everything you need for a quick little fall day. The cider doughnuts are literally the best I've ever had. We got them hot and fresh right off the trays. Literally orgasmic! Yes, you read that right. Hayride was cheap. Corn maze was free. Also had animal feeding, pony rides, more treats, jugs of cider, fresh picked apples, local honey, etc.“

“What an absolutely outstanding experience! The atmosphere is as cosy and inviting as a 1920s speakeasy, and the mustachioed mixologists sling craft cocktails, as well as a well-curated rotating set of draft beers, with abandon. Don’t let the charm distract you from the main event, however: the food! Everything we ate was a five star dish: the dumplings were soft and chewy with well-seasoned meat filling, the zakuska dip was an explosion of fresh flavors (and the zippy zaatar-coated homemade bread was the perfect complement), and we will be dreaming about the pizza, with its thin and chewy crust, umami-packed tomato sauce, and especially the sweet and deeply pungent garlic confit, for weeks! Best advice is to bring a group of family and friends so you can order one of everything from the menu.“

“Prompt and attentive service with reasonable pricing. I liked my chicken pot pie soup, but there was sugar in the pie crust, that was really, really weird. The chicken strips with butter and garlic and garlic bread were fantastic! No room for dessert and a takeout container to bring home.“

“We had a nice night out when our friends invited us to the VSpot The staff was really friendly and made us feel right at home, which added to the atmosphere. The steak they served on steak night was absolutely delicious. The music lineup was great, the sound quality was top-notch, and the new stage setup was impressive, making the whole experience even better. Oh, and we also got to check out the release of a new song called "Violet" by a popular local artist named Ivy. Overall, it was an awesome night, and big props to everyone involved for making it so memorable!“
“We were in Scranton for a softball tournament and a friend from back home recommended Joyce’s. We were so glad we tried it because the food was great and the owner were so very kind. They treated us like family even got pictures with us which I posted. We are planning a trip back just to see them!“

“So was recommended by lisa at the pilot. Definitely grateful she did tell me to go here instead of miller ale house. Called, asked if they had Bears game trixie (hope i spelled it right) politely told me they have every game. I asked for nachos jokingly and of course they had. So i parked just my tractor across the street. Plenty of room. I and of course ordered nachos, ordered the small. Omg it was huge and delicious. Way too much lol The bar has lots of locals and everyone is beyond nice and very approachable. I had fun bantering there teams as they did with me. I felt very at home and as if I became part of the community. Of course i had beer , cold and refreshing. Ordered some chicken wings and wow. Cooked right, tasted delicious. Food is all fresh from what i ordered and good Bathroom was super clean I highly recommend and your probably going to have fun. Met the owner , what a guy. If you want a good time and good food this is the spot . I will be back when indrive thru again. Thanks everyone for making me feel beyond welcome“

“First time being there and everything was great. Between 3 of us we had brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, and ribs, all of it cooked right and delicious ... Karen was our server and she was so friendly and on top of everything we needed. We will definitely go back when in the area. If you're looking for great BBQ, don't hesitate to try this place.“
