“The food was to die for and very affordable! A lot of interesting entrees as well. We will definitely come back if we are in the area. They don't make things spicy at all, hence if you want it spicy you can add it in, but you cannot take it out. We left with 2 happy stomachs“

“Some of the best Dominican food you're gonna find anywhere outside the island.Spectacular food made fresh every day and a wide variety of dishes and drinks. They used to be cash only, but have an ATM inside and now accept card payments.Definitely my favorite place in the city. Try the mofongo with roast pork. It's extra garlicky and packed with flavor. The rice and beans are always perfect, and so is their pernil (pork shoulder). The appetizers are also worth checking out.Small place, and it gets crowded quick. Totally a place to visit if you're in the city or curious about Dominican food.Vegetarian options: Not many options, but the few that are available are great.Parking: Really depends on time of day.“

“Friendly staff Juana is a very pleasant and attentive. Food counter right at the entrance so you can get a bite even when you're in a rush. Nice interior with comfy seating area slightly raised with steps. I got Los Tres Golpes with Yucca. Juana asked me if I wanted onions with it and I am so glad I said yes. The acidity from the pickled red onion cut the saltiness of the Salchichon and paired nicely with the yucca which was soft and flaky. I was pleasantly surprised by the eggs because the whites were nicely crispy on the edges but the yolk was simultaneously cooked, gooey, and runny. The dish was a great combo of textures and flavors especially when I threw a lil hot sauce on the fried cheese. Great filling way to start the day!!“

“I’ve been following the owner for years now and when I found out she settled in Philadelphia, since then, I’ve traveled countless times from New York just to have a taste of THIS Dominican food and I’ve got to say it’s absolutely amazing. Very authentic, flavor is delicious, customer service is super friendly and welcoming. The drinks are refreshing and are made CRISP daily, the atmosphere is cozy and a great space just to vibe. Summer time dinning in has AC and it’s on BLAST making the atmosphere comfortable. If you’re looking for great authentic Dominican cuisine in Philadelphia I’d recommend KAKU.“

“If you're looking for a local business with affordable pricing, friendly Spanish speaking staff, delicious and satisfying meals, all in a nice setting then this is your spot! The staff was really welcoming and friendly, taking the time to explain the menu options and pricing.I ordered the stewed chicken ("Pollo al Orno" or "a la Olla") with white rice, yucca, and avichuelas (pinto beans). The chicken was packed with flavor. The beans were stewed until the broth was rich and savory (honestly my fave part so good). This came with a refreshing salad with purple cabbage and fresh lettuces. (it was colorful and crisp). To top it all off it was suuuuuper reasonably priced. $11 for a delicious and satisfying meal.Vivaldi Restaurant has a sleek and modern aesthetic, but still comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained so that always makes eating enjoyable and relaxing.Wheelchair accessibility: The floor is smooth, clean, level, and flat.“

“Best grilled Pollo a la brasa around with signature side juice to glaze chicken ?. Philly food as a whole is not great because of everywhere having boardwalk amusement park food unlike NYC or NJ being top tier but this spot is with it ?. They deliver to me all the way in East Torresdale near Andalusia. P.S. I tip good so they know. One of the workers use to live in Paterson, NJ and we spoke it was cool. Also their Ensalada de papa is ?. It's Dominican Food made like Puerto Rican because North Philadelphia is mostly Puerto Rican and similar to Dominican cooks in Bayamon, PR since they live there and adapted. Anyone from NYC or NJ and visiting Philly check it out its affordable good prices. Why pay high prices for stupid boardwalk food like pizza and cheesesteak fries and wings when you can get this.“

“Delicious food, great prices! We ate in but this place seems great for take out too. We loved the ropa vieja, oxtail, fish bites and plantains, as well as the passion fruit and tamarind drinks. We came in late and the owner was the only one working and he was very friendly. BYOB which is always great. Heard their desserts are delicious too but didn't get a chance to try. Highly recommend“

“This has been my Spanish food place for at least 7 years now. I remember when it was a convenience store that sold food in the back now they have converted the whole store into a restaurant. The owners are pretty cool they know me by face, that to say one day I forgot my wallet and she just let me take the food and just paid the next time I was in there. FYI they open early and by 1pm they start getting ready to close, or the food has been sold out TRUST ME so get there early.“
