Tried Hokka Hokka for the first time after living in this area for like 8 years and somehow missing it…I need those years back! The waiter was attentive, but appeared to be impatient. It was as if we were seen as repeat guest and should already be familiar with the menu. He seemed perturbed when we weren't moving at his pace. The food, however, was excellent. Nice crowd, but not where you want to go for an elegant date night. Too loud and too casual. This is a popular place, and it's not hard to see why. The dining room is cozy, but not crowded. The menu offers a good variety of appetizers, entrees, and maki including old standards and plenty of original specialties. The veggie rolls in particular are worth a try! Service was prompt, responsive, knowledgeable, and personable.
