“Edit: I received a response within minutes of my review and after a brief exchange the manager (or owner, I'm not sure) sent me a gift card as an apology. My wife and I ordered food tonight and it was AMAZING. My faith in the couch tomato has been restored!!! A former personal favorite of mine. When they hit their food is out of this world. But the miss rate is getting bigger and higher making it so that I now hesitate when I have a craving for my favorite pizza or salad. They used to be a once every two weeks option for me, now they're once every two months.“

“This was the loveliest dining experience I have had in my life! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with such warmth and cheer. The host Chris wished me a happy birthday upon our arrival and we were even given a menu with "Happy Birthday" printed on it. What a kind gesture, right? We were shown out to the gorgeous string lit terrace with heat lamps and beautiful greenery everywhere. We were given champagne on the house and delicious sourdough bread. Erin our server was so sweet and genuine it felt like we were regulars although it was our first time there. The food and cocktails were so amazing and the prices are so affordable for the ambiance and quality. We were too full to order dessert, but they brought out a piece of cake with a candle anyway to celebrate. I just want to encourage other to give this place a try because you will truly be blown away. I was sad to leave. The staff, ambiance, and food were just complete perfection. “An amazing experience from end to end!I'll be honest, I had mixed feelings about the pre fixe menu. I loved the idea of checking my stomach at the door and allowing the chef to do their thing. On the other hand, would I like it? Would it meet my growing expectations on FSS?The answer was, in spite of significant hype and exceedingly high expectations, absolutely amazing. The only things you need to think about with regards to FSS is when you'd want to make a reservation and what cocktail(s) you might want along with your meal!“

“Hershel's East Side Deli is located near the center of the Reading Terminal Market, and was quite busy when I went, although it was Saturday around lunch time so that's to be expected. Great service across the board, was met with a smile by everyone I interacted with despite the crowds. Getting to the main attraction, the pastrami sandwich is out-of-this-world delicious. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I originally thought the price ($17) was a bit much, but it is well worth it for the experience and the portion size was so large I easily made two full meals out of it.“

“Picture the quintessential neighborhood corner sandwich shop of your dreams - this is it. This is the spot. Found it today and knew at first menu glance it’d be dope. The daily specials (kielbasa & egg sandwich, and Italian melt) were great and already thinking about the next ones I want to try (ex. The Bobby). Slaw, pickle, and Vietnamese iced coffee were great too!The place was happily busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon - line inside but I ordered ahead online since I was walking my dog, and their service was great — I literally stepped inside and within 2 seconds someone came out to greet me, I said I placed order, they said my name and handed me my bag and coffee.I don’t know what we the people of Francisville did to deserve Sandwich Corner Market, but my heart is full (and stomach)(Can you guys maybe make like, a little sandwich sample flight? Like 3 little sliders somehow? I want to try so many at once but can’t be slamming like 3 sandwiches and foresee myself stressing in the future over which 1 sandwich to pick per order)“

It is always fresh. It’s also consistent. The chefs there (yea they are chefs, not cooks) also help reduce food waste by making their own soup stocks. Have you tried the birria Raman? I went with the falafel sandwich with plain tahini sauce and was, unsurprisingly, totally blown away by how delicious, colorful, and flavorful these falafel were. The pita was the perfect lunch size and priced for inflation at $12. I want to go back very soon and try one of the tehina shakes, since I've heard those are can't miss. “The food was good! I was expecting it to be a little better based off photos but it was tasty. The spicy chicken sandwich is SPICY be warned. I can tolerate spice but I was fighting for my life with that heat. Everything else was tasty and the staff was so friendly and helpful.“

“Fresh or frozen, it's all here! The freshest cuts of restaurant quality fish all cut and trimmed right there on the premises. Lot of prepackaged options, including Fruits De Mer brand seafood and homemade fishcakes and crabcakes just like you enjoyed from the old Ippolito's shop in South Philly.“

“I'd heard this place many times before but never been. So I decided to give it a try when my parents came to the city to visit. Ended up being a really good option for a Friday night dinner.I made a reservation to be on the safe side, so we were seated immediately when we arrived. The hostesses and our waitress were all very friendly, polite and service oriented. The vibe was pretty nice with the white tables, darker grey booths and mood lighting based on what part of the restaurant you're in. And the place is very clean, including the bathrooms (always a real test on the cleanliness for me is how the bathroom looks). We all enjoyed our dining experience, from the service of our waiter to the actual look, portion size and taste of the food. We ordered a few things to share: Calamari Fritti, Sicilian Salad (no pepperoni) and the Three Cheese Piatta Bread. Those were great portions for sharing and honestly kind of filling. We each ordered entrees: mom got the Grilled Salmon, dad ordered the Chicken Marsala and I ordered the Rigatoni Vodka with Crab & Shrimp added in (no pancetta). My dish was delicious! Very rich but not too rich, tasty and very large portions again - I took most of it home. Though we were all full, we couldn't leave without dessert lol. So my dad got an espresso, while my mom & I split the Triple Chocolate Cake. It was sooo decadent and rich, but good. I'm not sure if I would've been able to eat by myself given all we ate before that, so I'm glad we split it.Overall, a really great experience and good food and reasonable prices. My parents enjoyed it and I would definitely go back again. Give it a try!“

“Great spot for fast casual lunches in University City (that aren't salad)! I love how fast this food comes out, which is great when picking something up to go. Atmosphere: There is indoor seating for around 15 people, though most people seem to take their bowls and eat elsewhere. You walk through the line and can select the sides / mains you would like, and whether you would like a grain or salad base. Food: I like the variety of options, especially their sweet potato and broccoli! I also appreciate how much protein they typically give, which makes for a much more filling lunch. Overall: 4/5 - great option for a quick lunch, and the food is solid for this type of meal!“

“This place is a delight, and caters to both locals and travelers alike (of which I’m the latter). You can genuinely feel the sense of community as you walk through the door, especially when you get recognized by the staff. Do note that it can get pretty crowded, though. Also, shoutout to Angel. They’re a phenomenal bartender.“
