“This was the loveliest dining experience I have had in my life! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with such warmth and cheer. The host Chris wished me a happy birthday upon our arrival and we were even given a menu with "Happy Birthday" printed on it. What a kind gesture, right? We were shown out to the gorgeous string lit terrace with heat lamps and beautiful greenery everywhere. We were given champagne on the house and delicious sourdough bread. Erin our server was so sweet and genuine it felt like we were regulars although it was our first time there. The food and cocktails were so amazing and the prices are so affordable for the ambiance and quality. We were too full to order dessert, but they brought out a piece of cake with a candle anyway to celebrate. “This is my first time in Philly so it’s my first time trying cheesesteaks. I’ve tried the two “kings” (Geno’s and Pat’s). After seeing my Geno’s wrapper, the valet at the hotel told me I needed to try the cheesesteak at Oh Brothers. Well, the valet was correct. Oh Brother has a much better cheesesteak. For review sake I kept it simple with all my orders. “Wiz with” (cheese wiz with onions) the Oh Brother steak was much more flavorful, actually had seasoning and the bread is perfectly soft. Those other sandwiches obviously have their place, but if you sat these three sandwiches in front of me, I’m going to choose the Oh Brother steak every time. I will also mention I ordered this sandwich through DoorDash and it was still the best. Their shakes are also really good.“

“I'm a historian. In my recent researches I found that there were several Catholic churches built in the Philadelphia area that were torn down suddenly in the 1800s and this Applebee's location was built atop one of them. The researches aren't clear why they were torn down so quickly and hidden from the historical record but there was also a scandal of priests studying dark texts at the same time, also hidden from history.When stepping across the threshold I felt a chill run down my spine. I was seated promptly and color drained from everything in my view. My server Nadia was very nice, I appreciated her attentiveness and prompt and courteous demeanor. Stepping into the bathroom I did note that the foundation seemed to be cracking and a curl of a mist casting a sense of gloom was emerging from this chasm.I knelt down and a sulfurous hint of brimstone hit me. I assume this was a plumbing issue, which will probably be resolved soon. Leaving the bathroom and passing by the kitchen door as it swung open, the seating area was struck in the sharp shadows of intense flames dancing across the walls. There were also screams.I can recommend the grilled chicken and shrimp dish, but would not recommend the Mac and cheese dish.“
“This place offers some of the most delicious and incredible vegan/vegetarian items ever!! Jeff, the owner/chef, is super creative and talented! I had the yuba hoagie, which was so divine that I finished the whole thing! If you love garlic, the toum dipping sauce that comes with the za'atar fries is unreal! I also had the cauliflower salad with the tahini dressing. The combo was unmatched! Oh, another one of my favorites is the patty melt!! “On Point was very on point with our brunch. It's a BYOB spot in heart of Point Breeze with some great flavors and vibes. The group sampled quite a few starters including wings and cheesesteak egg rolls. For the main meal I had to go with the Challah French Toast. Unique flavor especially with the cheese and nuts. “My son and I were in the mood for good burgers. Google suggested this location, so we gave it a go. You walk into the bar area and are greeted with a smile and told to sit wherever you like. The menu was not large, but it was still pretty difficult to pick from the interesting, creative, and deliciously described burgers. My son and I decided to split our top 2 picks. The buns were light, and the burgers were surprisingly easy to go down. We were both astonished how quickly we took down the breakfast and classic burgers. The fries were well-seasoned and cooked well, and the shoestring onion rings were a nice treat. We ended the meal with some fried oreos that came with an amazing dip.We are planning to return to take on some of the other burgers on the menu!“

“Top notch service! Location was a close walk to other attractions in the area. Staff were all super friendly, and the food is amazing! Three of us ordered cheese steaks, all three of us loved them! They were the best we have ever had! Also ordered a grilled cheese which was thoroughly enjoyed as well. Seating within the restaurant can be a little challenging, but did not dampen our experience at all. Definitely stop if you are in the area!“
“As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find meat-free brunch options that can compare to traditional items. Sidecar Bar is the best brunch i’ve had in Philly! I got the Hippy Benny and it was PHENOMENAL!!! The ingredients were fresh and the potatoes were incredible. I went with a large group and some other favorites were the pancakes, the breakfast flatbread, and the Texan Benny. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat while still remaining casual and family friendly. Our server was friendly and attentive and it was all around a great experience! Definitely make Sidecar Bar your next Philly food destination!“

“We went here for a quick bite and weren't disappointed. We had a chicken and a beef Philly. Both of those were huge sandwiches for the money! The beef one was chipotle and it was quite delicious but very spicy. So if you a looking for a little kick I would highly recommmend it. We also had old bay fries which had the potential to be good but they were so dang salty. They come with cheese whiz, but it doesn't help how salty they are. Lastly we got a cheese pizza. That was mid at best. Almost no cheese on it and a mediocre sauce. The place does have seating in the back despite how it looks, it just ordering was slightly confusing because they had a sign over a tablet that said order here but you really should order at the countertop because the tablet doesn't have all the options of things you could order like drinks or slices. Overall though a really good place to grab a bite, excellent staff and good food!“

“There was a group of 7 women and we had just left the Katt Williams Comedy Show heading back to Maryland, so most of us wanted just a little something to hold us over and since it was late night. So my Cuz saw pizzeria in the name and said let's stop there. The rest is 'Delicious History' thank you Lil' Trent and the 2 other gentleman that were cooking. The group ordered pizza, fries, steak subs, and chicken subs, but they also had a salmon sub. I will be scheduling a drive up to Philly soon just to try that salmon sub; which will be a difficult choice considering my chicken cheese sub was the best I've ever had in my 57 yrs. We all was very very pleased with everything we ordered. There was a wait even that late at night, but a well worth it wait. We actually was 1 of 3 of the last customers that were there waiting and we closed the restaurant down with a personal shot out to Lil' Trent as he locked up. Pizza here tends to usually be on the doughy / thicker / floppy side yet is still oddly “thin crust” style? It has a bit of an identity crisis. It can plausibly crack a top 10 pizza in Philly on a good night depending on your preference but it wouldn’t grab a top 5.“

The veggie burger, vegetable wrap, and red pepper hummus with pita are all vegan. Yay! If you're into meat, you've got loads of options. Food spans a cross between gastro pub and dive bar (read: soups, chili, wings, steak tip sandwiches; quesadilla, nachos, and a variety of sandwiches.) Prices are reasonable and sandwiches come with fries or salad. The beer list is pretty long for a neighborhood watering hole. I snagged a pint of a great black lager, and also tried the Fiddlehead white which was nice too. There were about eight brews on draft and double that number in cans and bottles, plus ciders. Sitting under a tree trapped up in fairy lights on the outdoor patio was quite nice. Indoors is dark wood and a long bar and TV screens. Good place for sports fans or biergarten lunchers. We ordered the Peach Cobbler French Toast, the Cinnamon Bun French Toast and a side order of bacon. Our server asked what our crispness preference for the bacon was, which I've never been asked before and it was served exactly as requested. The portions are massive and very flavorful and fresh. The food was good, served quickly. The shredded potatoes with crunchy edges were a surprise. The diner is accessible, with wide isles, plenty of open tables and roomy booths. The staff sang happy birthday to a 5 year old behind us. Very sweet. Lots of families. The spaces in the parking lot are on the small side, so cars are very close to each other, making it difficult to get in/out of the car doors.
